NCT07455890
The goal of the clinical trial is to learn if Alpha-lipoic acid plus Coenzymeq10 work to treat asthenozoospermia in subfertile male. It will also learn about the safety of drug Alpha-lipoic acid plus Coenzymeq10. The main queations it aim to answer are: Does drug Alpha-lipoic acid plus CoenzymeQ10 increase sperm motility in participents? What medical problems do participants have when taking Alpha-lipoic acid plus Coenzymeq10? Reseachers will compare drug Alpha-lipoic acid plus Coenzymeq10 combination to Coenzymeq10 alone to see if alpha-lipoic acid plus Coenzymeq10 combination drugs work better. Participants will experimental group: Alpha-lipoic acid 500mg once daily plus coenzymeq10 100mg twice daily for 3 months. Comparator group: CoenzymeQ10 100mg twice daily for 3 months. visit the clinic after 3 monyhs of treatment for check up and tests.
NCT06742437
Prospective, multicenter research study with a split-sample design on semen samples, without intervention, to evaluate the efficacy and safety of HyperSperm, a new sperm capacitation method, in 300 semen samples with various characteristics and abnormalities, in an in vitro study over 12 months.
NCT07252518
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if drug Pentoxifylline plus Coenzyme Q10 work to treat asthenozoospermia in subfertile male. It will also learn about the safety of drug Pentoxifylline plus Coenzyme Q10. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does drug Pentoxifylline plus Coenzyme Q10 increase the motility of sperm in participants? What medical problems do participants have when taking drug Pentoxifylline plus Coenzyme Q10 ? Researchers will compare drug Pentoxifylline plus Coenzyme Q10 combination to Coenzyme Q10 alone to see if drug Pentoxifylline plus Coenzyme Q10 combination works better. Participants will: Experimental Group:Pentoxifylline 400mg twice dailyand Coenzyme Q10 100mg twice daily for 3 months. Comparator Group: Coenzyme Q10 100mg twice daily for 3 months Visit the clinic after three months of treatment for checkups and tests
NCT05792813
Male infertility affects millions of males worldwide and is rising in prevalence due to social and environmental conditions. Asthenozoospermia (AZS) and oligoasthenozoospermia (OA) are the major causes of male infertility. The diagnosis of male infertility has a negative effect on men's physical and psychological status, poses a threat to their social relationships, lowers self-esteem, and disrupts family harmony. At present, the treatment of ASZ and OA are all mostly empirical, including antioxidants, endocrine therapy, and anti-infection. However, there are still limitations due to inefficiencies. Linggui Yangyuan paste (LGYY), a traditional Chinese compound herbal past, had been used to treat ASZ and OA for several years at the Xiyuan Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. The investigators designed this program to study the efficacy and safety of LGYY for the treatment of patients with male infertility (AZS and OA).
NCT05135143
Numerous studies verify that the majority of cases of male infertility belong to the group diagnosed with oligoasthenoteratozoospermia (OAT), which means a decrease in the number of sperm in the ejaculate to 15 million / ml, reduced sperm motility of the spermatozoa and morphological disorders of the neck or tail of the sperm. Genuine scientific studies can not pinpoint the cause of these changes, however, recent advances in science shed light on this issue by confirming the reason, which is as a result of the action of free radicals - oxidative stress.
NCT04291495
Mitochondria is the cellular organelle responsible for the production of the energy necessary to fuel sperm motility. It has been demonstrated that mitochondrial efficiency is correlated to the fertilizing capacity of the spermatozoon and to the production of high quality embryos. Mitochondria efficiency is measured in the laboratory setting by evaluating the mitochondrial membrane potential. Myo-inositol is the most represented stereoisomer of the family of inositols and is the only one physiologically concentrated within the seminal plasma. It is essential for sperm maturation and motility and its deficiency is also associated to a reduced sperm count. Myo-inositol promotes motility and allows recovering a higher number of sperm cells after swim-up, both in normospermic patients and in patients with altered seminal parameters. Scientific studies have shown that semen samples treated in vitro with ANDROSITOL®DGN, show an improvement in mitochondrial efficiency that results in an increase in spermatozoa progressive motility. Based on the percentage increase in the progressive motility showed by the spermatozoa after incubation with ANDROSITOL®DGN (ANDROSITOL®TEST), it is possible to subdivide the semen samples into three categories: low, medium, and high responders. The aim of the study is to evaluate whether the in vitro response of spermatozoa to ANDROSITOL®TEST correlates with the in vivo improvement of seminal parameters after oral treatment with antioxidants and myo-inositol.
NCT03183999
This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study aimed to evaluate the effect of ginseng(GINST) supplementation for 12 weeks on sperm motility.
NCT01612403
There are several causes leading to male infertility, like oxidative stress, and nutritional deficiency of trace elements like zinc. Zinc in human seminal plasma was divided into three types of ligands which are high (HMW), intermediate (IMW), and low molecular weight ligands (LMW). The present study was conducted to study the effect of Zn supplementation on the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of semen along with Zinc Binding Protein levels in semen of patients with asthenozoospmia.
