NCT07033832
A pilot randomized controlled trial of an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy-based intervention will be conducted to decrease psychological symptoms, while increase psychological flexibility for parents of a child with medical complexity during their difficulties.
NCT06949657
ACT combined with stratified intervention improved cognitive function and quality of life in elderly schizophrenia patients by enhancing psychological flexibility and family support.
NCT06900608
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) has demonstrated efficacy in reducing depressive symptoms, primarily compared to no treatment or minimal treatment controls. This study compared the efficacy of ACT targeting cognitive defusion (CD, 3 sessions) and values-based activity scheduling (VBAS, 3 sessions) to supportive therapy (ST). Both treatments offered six sessions, a rationale for the approach, related techniques, and homework assignments. A parallel group randomized controlled efficacy trial design was used. Participants were stratified by gender identification and depression severity and then randomly allocated, according to a predetermined sequence, 2:1 to ACT or ST. Dependent measures were collected during acute treatment (pre, mid, and post-treatment) and follow-up at one-month.
NCT06168825
The goal of this study is to learn if the Mind Over Matter (MOM) Intervention, a 5-week group program, can help Black and African American women deal with the fears, worries and sadness that often accompany cancer diagnosis and treatment. The main question this study aims to answer is: • Whether the MOM Intervention is feasible and acceptable among Black and African American women. We would also like to find out if: * The MOM Intervention decreases anxiety, depression and physical symptom severity for Black and African American women. * The MOM Intervention is culturally and linguistically appropriate, and identify barriers, strengths, and areas of improvement. Participants will: * Attend a Pre-Program Orientation * Attend 5 weekly MOM Sessions * Complete 2 questionnaires (one will be given before the first MOM Session begins, and the other will be given after the last MOM Session) Participants also have the choice to attend an optional Focus Group, which will be offered after the last MOM Session. Please note, this entire Intervention will be offered online. There will be no in-person sessions or visits.
NCT06789926
Based on the high levels of emotional distress, burnout, and turnover intentions among clinical oncology nursing staff, this study will provide a multimedia "Mind-Body Support" Line platform and ACT workshop courses as intervention measures for oncology nursing staff. The study aims to explore the effectiveness of these interventions in alleviating their psychological and physical distress, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative research methods to achieve the research objectives.
NCT03810131
Here we propose a protocol for assessing the feasibility and acceptability of a randomised controlled trial (RCT) of an online transdiagnostic psychoeducational intervention called 'A Bite of ACT' (BOA) compared to a waitlist control.
NCT06086184
The pilot study that will serve as the basis for the larger project - a multicenter randomized controlled single-blinded trial (RCT) will focus on testing the feasibility and efficacy of an inpatient group ACT treatment program and its effects on symptom severity and patient satisfaction in patients with psychosis spectrum disorder. The ACT-specific treatment program for inpatients with psychosis spectrum disorder is designed to enable patients to deal with their disease in an accepting manner over the long term, to promote self-determined and positive attitudes toward treatment and support options, and thus to reduce rehospitalization rates.
NCT05741255
The present study aims to: Determine the effect of acceptance and commitment therapy-based interventions on mental health and cognitive impairment for patients with advanced colorectal cancer. Research Hypothesis: Cancer patients who receive acceptance and commitment therapy-based interventions will exhibit better mental health and lower cognitive impairments than those who didn't receive it.
NCT03565731
The purpose of this study is to develop and test a brief program to help overweight people become more physically active. We plan to design a program that teaches people how to become more active by identifying how fitness enables them to live their lives better. Participants will be asked to complete questionnaires and wear a device that tracks their exercise for 1 week. If accepted into the study, they will receive a 1 day program designed to help them exercise more. Then they will receive phone calls and emails for support after the program. Finally, participants will come in 3 and 6 months after the program to complete the same questionnaires and wear the exercise tracker again. The study is primarily interested in increasing exercise levels, and so we hope to see participants exercising more after the program than they were before. We will also ask them questions (via the questionnaires) that tell us the degree to which they are exercising based on their one desires and values, as opposed to doing it because they were told to.
