NCT00672620
The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy and safety of vortioxetine, once daily (QD), in adults with major depressive disorder.
NCT01153009
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of vortioxetine, once daily (QD), compared with placebo in adults with major depressive disorder.
NCT00731653
The objective of this study is to allow patients who have participated in the precursor study of BCI-024 in combination with BCI-049 versus placebo or BCI-024 alone (Protocol #CBM-IT-01) to receive 6 weeks of open-label treatment with an increased dose of BCI-024 in combination with an increased dose of BCI-049. The safety and tolerability of this higher dose of the combination will be evaluated, as will the treatment effect in reducing symptoms of depression in patients with MDD.
NCT00359424
The purpose of this study is to compare two different treatment approaches to recanalization started within 3 hours of symptom onset-combined intravenous (IV) and endovascular therapy and standard intravenous (IV) rt-PA alone.
NCT00003814
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. It is not yet known if eflornithine is more effective than no further therapy in treating bladder cancer. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to determine the effectiveness of eflornithine in treating patients who have newly diagnosed or recurrent bladder cancer.
NCT00005958
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Colony-stimulating factors such as filgrastim may increase the number of immune cells found in bone marrow or peripheral blood and may help a person's immune system recover from the side effects of chemotherapy. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combination chemotherapy with gemcitabine and docetaxel plus filgrastim in treating patients who have locally recurrent or advanced urothelium cancer.
NCT01556711
The objectives of the study are to document device performance with respect to the primary and secondary endpoints.
NCT01021891
Trial will include 40 subjects and consists of 3 visits: Screening, Treatment and Follow up. A euglycemic clamp procedure and Technosphere®/Insulin (T/I) administration will occur at Visit 2 for both COPD and non COPD subjects.
NCT01435226
This is a Phase 2 Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Study of GS-5885, GS-9451, Tegobuvir and Ribavirin (RBV) Compared with GS-5885, GS-9451 with Tegobuvir or RBV in Treatment-Experienced Subjects with Chronic Genotype 1a or 1b Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) Infection.
NCT00882726
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of CNTO 3649 following a single dose in healthy adults and following multiple doses in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.
NCT00128583
RATIONALE: Vaccines made from tumor cells may help the body build an effective immune response to kill tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying vaccine therapy to see how well it works in treating patients with malignant melanoma.
NCT00030589
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Photodynamic therapy uses light and drugs that make cancer cells more sensitive to light to kill cancer cells. Photosensitizing drugs, such as methoxsalen, are absorbed by cancer cells and, when exposed to light, become active and kill the cancer cells. Combining chemotherapy with photodynamic therapy may be an effective treatment for cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. PURPOSE: Randomized phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combining different doses of bexarotene with photodynamic therapy in treating patients who have stage IB or stage IIA cutaneous T-cell lymphoma.
NCT00274638
To demonstrate that Telmisartan combined with Hydrochlorothiazide (MICARDIS® HCT) is superior to Losartan with Hydrochlorothiazide (Hyzaar®) in lowering blood pressure in mild-moderate hypertensives.
NCT00679588
The primary objective is to compare the efficacy and safety of once daily (q.d.) subcutaneous (s.c.) injections of Semuloparin sodium (AVE5026) with q.d. s.c. injections of Enoxaparin for the prevention of Venous Thromboembolic Events (VTE) in patients undergoing major abdominal surgery. The secondary objectives are to evaluate the safety of Semuloparin sodium (AVE5026) and to document Semuloparin sodium (AVE5026) exposure in this population.
NCT00360490
The purpose of this study is to determine whether the levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system is effective in decreasing menstrual blood loss.
NCT00262067
This is a Phase III, multicenter, randomized, placebo-controlled trial designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of bevacizumab in combination with chemotherapy compared with chemotherapy alone in subjects with previously untreated metastatic breast cancer.
NCT01536821
The PROGENI Family Study is part of a larger consortium that is studying a gene shown to be important in Parkinson's disease, called LRRK2. People who have a defect in the LRRK2 gene will often develop Parkinson's disease. Eligible participants will be asked to complete a single Study Visit at an affiliated research facility closest to their home.
NCT00017524
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of AG2037 in treating patients who have advanced, metastatic, or recurrent solid tumors.
NCT01124630
Treatment with CS-1008 in combination with FOLFIRI (irinotecan, leucovorin, and 5-fluorouracil \[5-FU\]) in subjects with metastatic colorectal cancer (CRC) who have failed first-line treatment that was not irinotecan-based.
NCT00005960
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Giving more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combination chemotherapy in treating patients who have prostate cancer that has not responded to hormone therapy.
