NCT04079010
The current study will investigate the effects of Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training and L-arginine supplementation on recreationally trained female participants. In particular, it will compare performance outcomes and blood markers among two intervention groups (BFR and BFR+Arg) and a control group (CON).
NCT02397694
This study will evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of bictegravir (BIC) + emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide (F/TAF) fixed dose combination (FDC) versus dolutegravir (DTG) + F/TAF in HIV-1 Infected, antiretroviral treatment-naive adults. This study will also evaluate the pharmacokinetic (PK) profile of BIC, emtricitabine and TAF.
NCT00855595
Subjects with moderate papulopustular rosacea will be treated either with azelaic acid 15% gel topically plus an anti-inflammatory dose of doxycyline (40mg) daily or with metronidazole 1% gel topically once daily plus an anti-inflammatory dose of doxycycline (40mg) over at total of twelve weeks to determine the rapidity of improvement, and the length of time to reach 25%, 50% and 75% clearing compared to baseline.
NCT02963922
This trial is conducted globally. The aim of this trial is to investigate effect and safety of liraglutide 3.0 mg in subjects with overweight or obesity and type 2 diabetes mellitus treated with basal insulin.
NCT00160641
An open ended study in which patients who completed the preceding double-blind study NCT00160602 are given Certolizumab Pegol and assessed for signs and symptoms of Rheumatoid Arthritis.
NCT02470806
The aim of this study is to compare the clinical efficacy of two types of NPWT systems; the traditional negative pressure wound therapy (tNPWT) system and the single-use negative pressure wound therapy (PICO) system.
NCT03728738
Placing the head of bed (HOB) at 0-degrees has been shown in small studies to improve blood flow to the brain in patients with ischemic stroke caused by large artery occlusions, thereby reducing stroke symptom worsening. This simple yet potentially impactful intervention has yet to be tested in a large clinical trial in hyperacute large artery ischemic stroke patients, but may provide nurses with a powerful contribution to acute stroke care that is capable of preventing worsening of stroke symptoms and promoting stabilization. Because stroke is the leading cause of preventable long-term disability in adults, this study may show that simple methods such as 0-degree HOB positioning should be considered one of the very first actions taken in the emergent management of acute ischemic stroke patients.
NCT02988115
The purpose of this study is to determine if bempedoic acid (ETC-1002) is effective and safe versus placebo in patients with elevated LDL cholesterol and who are statin-intolerant.
NCT03680560
This is a Phase 1, open-label, multi-center study to assess safety and determine the recommended phase 2 dose (RP2D) of ACTR T cell product (ACTR707 or ACTR087) in combination with trastuzumab, following lymphodepleting chemotherapy in subjects with HER2-positive advanced malignancies.
NCT01059682
This multicenter, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled study will evaluate the effect of dalcetrapib 600 mg on artherosclerotic disease progression, lipid profile and biomarker profile and long-term safety profile of dalcetrapib in patients with coronary artery disease. Atherosclerotic disease progression will be measured 1. Coronary Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS), Quantitative Coronary Angiography 2. Carotid B-Mode Ultrasound Intima Medial Thickness (IMT) and total plaque volume in subjects undergoing coronary angiography who have coronary artery disease (CAD). Patients will be randomized to receive dalcetrapib 600 mg orally once a day or placebo. The anticipated time on study treatment will be 24 months. The target sample size is 800-1000 patients.
NCT00044577
A 48-week study to investigate the safety and effectiveness of a new compact formulation of two already FDA-approved anti-HIV drugs in subjects who have already been receiving treatment for their HIV infection.
NCT00006229
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. It is not yet known whether paclitaxel and carboplatin are more effective with or without BMS-275291 for non-small cell lung cancer. PURPOSE: Randomized phase II/III trial to compare the effectiveness of paclitaxel and carboplatin with or without BMS-275291 in treating patients who have advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer.
NCT04015375
To evaluate the therapeutic effect of Dapsone and Placebo gel in the treatment of acne vulgaris.
NCT02107859
The primary objective of this study is to determine the long-term safety and tolerability of ataluren in participants with nonsense mutation cystic fibrosis (nmCF) who completed participation in the double-blind study PTC124-GD-009-CF (NCT00803205), as assessed by adverse events and laboratory abnormalities. The secondary objective of this study includes the assessment of the efficacy of ataluren, as measured by forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1) and pulmonary exacerbation rate, and other safety parameters (for example, 12-lead electrocardiogram \[ECG\] measurements, vital signs).
NCT01077518
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the safety and efficacy of ofatumumab and bendamustine combination therapy in patients with indolent B-cell NHL that did not respond to rituximab or a rituximab-containing regimen during or within 6 months of the last rituximab treatment.
NCT01996254
The purpose of this study is to determine if electrical stimulation (small levels of electricity) can safely and effectively reduce post-amputation pain. This study involves a device called the SPRINT System. The SPRINT System delivers mild electrical stimulation to nerves in the residual limb. The SPRINT System includes a small wire (called a "lead") that is placed through the skin in the upper leg. It also includes a device worn on the body that delivers stimulation (called the SPRINT Stimulator).
NCT04300907
A study of the use of the Provant Infinity Therapy System when treatment is administered 30 minutes twice daily for 8-weeks (56 days ± 3 days) at home for postoperative pain.
NCT02730403
This is an observational, "ancillary study" intended to describe opioid use among opioid use disorder patients following their discharge into the community from inpatient detoxification and/or short-term residential treatment programs affiliated with parent study CTN-0051, which assessed the comparative effectiveness of extended release injectable naltrexone (XR-NTX, Vivitrol®), an opioid antagonist recently approved and indicated for the prevention of relapse to opioid dependence, versus buprenorphine-naloxone (BUP-NX, Suboxone®), a high affinity partial agonist indicated for maintenance treatment of opioid dependence, as pharmacotherapeutic aids to recovery.
NCT02970019
This is a safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetic study in subjects with Parkinson's disease
NCT00002807
RATIONALE: Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage cancer cells. It is not yet known whether radiation therapy is more effective than observation only after sugery in treating endometrial cancer. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying radiation therapy to see how well it works compared to observation only in treating patients with stage I or stage II endometrial cancer who have undergone hysterectomy and oophorectomy.
