NCT01985126
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of 2 daratumumab treatment regimens in participants with multiple myeloma who have received at least 3 prior lines of therapy (including a proteasome inhibitor \[PI\] and immunomodulatory drug \[IMiD\]) or are double refractory to a PI and an IMiD.
NCT01087931
The use of iliac crest bone graft (ICBG) remains the gold-standard in spinal reconstructive surgery for achieving fusion. Major complications from the harvesting of ICBG are rare, but chronic pain has been reported in 10-39%. Catheters implanted at the time of surgery have been used to provide local anesthetic at the harvest site for 24-48 hours after surgery. This has been shown to decrease chronic pain at 4 years post-operatively. A single application of local anesthetic at surgery has been shown to decrease pain at the harvest site for up to 5 days. No study has demonstrated a benefit to using a single application of local anesthetic at the ICBG site beyond 5 days. In current clinical practice, the use of a local anesthetic at the ICBG site is determined according to surgeon preference. The purpose of this study is to determine if a single application of bupivacaine at the ICBG site, as currently done in some cases, provides any pain relief beyond 5 days such as that demonstrated with longer infusions of local anesthetics.
NCT01818388
A multicenter prospective single arm interventional trial in hospitals where therapeutic hypothermia is standard practice. This trial will enroll 50 subjects to evaluate the ability of the ZOLL Intravascular Temperature Management (IVTM) System to induce, maintain, and reverse mild therapeutic hypothermia and maintain normothermia post cardiac arrest.
NCT01916226
This phase IV investigational trial is being conducted to evaluate the efficacy of a 2-week treatment of fluticasone propionate nasal spray (FPNS) vs. cetirizine on allergic nasal and ocular symptoms and quality of life in adult subjects with SAR. It is hypothesized that FPNS provides greater nasal symptom relief than cetirizine. The primary measure used to test this hypothesis is the change from baseline over two weeks in reflective total nasal symptom score (rTNSS) compared between FPNS and cetirizine. Approximately 648 subjects will be randomized into a 1:1:1:1 ratio of treatment allocation across approximately twenty-five to thirty-five sites in the US during the 2013 fall allergy season. All subjects will be outpatients. The total duration of study will be approximately 21 days including 7 days of screening period, and 14 days of treatment period.
NCT02517021
NEPA-15-18 is a clinical study assessing safety of pro-netupitant and palonosetron, two antiemetic drugs, given with oral dexamethasone. The objective of the study is to evaluate if pro-netupitant and palonosetron are safe when administered to prevent nausea and vomiting after administration of repeated cycles of chemotherapy.
NCT02583919
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of ISIS-GCGRRx in combination with metformin versus placebo
NCT01669629
This is a one week 2x2 crossover study comparing delefilcon A with etafilcon A, with a primary hypothesis of comparing the handling of each lens. Additional secondary markers are measured looking at subjective comfort and vision of the lenses.
NCT02427477
Approximately 120 subjects will be comparing two soft contact lenses for one week each.
NCT01016652
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of a multi-focal contact lens on symptomatic patients.
NCT01807585
The VeClose pivotal study was a controlled, randomized, prospective, multicenter, pivotal study in which patients with venous reflux in the great saphenous vein (GSV) were treated with either the VenaSeal closure system (VenaSeal SCS) or radiofrequency ablation (RFA) therapy.
NCT01343485
Planned Parenthood Federation of America's (PPFA) Medical Affairs Division will conduct a prospective, cluster randomized trial to determine which factors influence the acquisition of the second and third human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine doses among young women ages 19 to 26. This descriptive and interventional study will provide data to assess impact of a computerized tool upon HPV vaccine series completion. The interventional aspect of this study includes determination of patient assistance and provider support programs applicable to each woman's situation as well as the implementation of a computer software system for customized patient reminders.
NCT01484028
This study will serve to evaluate and compare the performance of two new lenses to a marketed lens.
NCT01055457
This study compares an investigational contact lens care multi-purpose solution to a currently marketed multi-purpose solution.
NCT01667250
The purpose of this multi-center, prospective, double-blind, randomized, sham-controlled pilot study is to study feasibility and collect preliminary clinical data related to the safety and clinical benefits of daily use of non-invasive vagal nerve stimulation with the GammaCore device for the prevention of chronic migraine, and to support the development and approval of a larger pivotal study.
NCT01484054
To evaluate and compare the performance of a new contact lens to a marketed contact lens.
NCT01192542
The purpose of this study is to compare the visual acuity, limbal and bulbar redness of the new galyfilcon A prototype lenses against Avaira® lenses when worn as daily wear for seven (7) days.
NCT01180777
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the lens fit (mechanical and cosmetic lens fit) of the printed etafilcon A with polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP).
NCT02061592
To evaluate the clinical performance of daily disposable etafilcon A lenses.
NCT00006358
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Thalidomide may stop the growth of cancer by stopping blood flow to the tumor. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combining temozolomide and thalidomide in treating patients who have recurrent or progressive brain tumor.
NCT00025675
RATIONALE: Biological therapies such as gefitinib may interfere with the growth of tumor cells and slow the growth of CNS tumors. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of gefitinib in treating patients who have recurrent or progressive CNS tumors.
