NCT03768414
This phase III trial studies how well gemcitabine hydrochloride and cisplatin given with or without nab-paclitaxel work in treating patients with newly diagnosed biliary tract cancers that have spread to other places in the body. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as gemcitabine hydrochloride, cisplatin, and nab-paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. It is not known if giving gemcitabine hydrochloride and cisplatin with or without nab-paclitaxel may work better at treating biliary tract cancers.
NCT04585815
Phase 1b/Phase 2 Umbrella Study; open-label, multi-center, parallel group study. Sasanlimab (a PD-1 antagonist monoclonal antibody) will be combined with a different targeted therapy in each sub-study. Phase1b of each sub-study will evaluate the safety of the combination and select the dose for the Phase 2 portion. Phase 2 of each sub-study will evaluate the anti-tumor activity of the combination. Sub-Study A is active, not recruiting, ongoing participants are still receiving treatment in Phase 1, Phase 2 will not be initiated. Sub-study B is complete. All participants have discontinued treatment and any additional follow up required by protocol.
NCT03870750
This phase II/III trial studies the best approach in improving quality of life and survival after a donor stem cell transplant in older, weak, or frail patients with blood diseases. Patients who have undergone a transplant often experience increases in disease and death. One approach, supportive and palliative care (SPC), focuses on relieving symptoms of stress from serious illness and care through physical, cultural, psychological, social, spiritual, and ethical aspects. While a second approach, clinical management of comorbidities (CMC) focuses on managing multiple diseases, other than cancer, such as heart or lung diseases through physical exercise, strength training, stress reduction, medication management, dietary recommendations, and education. Giving SPC, CMC, or a combination of both may work better in improving quality of life and survival after a donor stem cell transplant compared to standard of care in patients with blood diseases.
NCT07181473
The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate whether TJ101, an investigational antibody-drug conjugate (ADC), can safely and effectively treat patients with advanced solid tumors. The main objectives of this study are : * To Determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and recommended dose for expansion (RDE) of TJ101 * to show preliminary antitumor activity in patients with advanced solid tumors Participants will: * Receive intravenous (IV) infusions of TJ101 at escalating dose levels (during dose escalation) or at the selected expansion dose. * Undergo regular tumor imaging to assess response. * Provide blood samples for pharmacokinetics (PK) and biomarker analysis. * Be monitored for side effects and overall tolerability. This study is being conducted in adult patients with advanced or metastatic solid tumors who have exhausted standard treatment options
NCT05562934
The purpose of this 20-week randomized double-blind study in patients with resistant hypertension (rHTN) is to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability, of different doses of XXB750 administered as subcutaneous (SC) injections, compared to placebo. Since all study participants will be patients with rHTN, all study treatments will be given on top of maximally tolerated background antihypertensive therapy recommended by international guidelines for treatment of HTN (i.e., a thiazide or a thiazide-like diuretic, an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor (ACEi) or an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB), and a long-acting dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker (CCB).
NCT03901807
Prospective, multicenter, randomized, open-label study of standard of care plus the PMX cartridge versus standard of care alone in patients with endotoxemic septic shock
NCT05339126
To generate preliminary safety and effectiveness data for brain-responsive neurostimulation of thalamocortical networks as an adjunctive therapy in reducing the frequency of generalized seizures in individuals 12 years of age or older with Lennox Gastaut Syndrome (LGS) who are refractory to antiseizure medications. The intent is to determine the feasibility and the optimal design of a subsequent pivotal study in order to expand the indication for use for the RNS System as a treatment for patients with medically intractable LGS.
NCT03727022
The primary purpose of this phase 2, placebo-controlled, double-blind, parallel group study was to provide an initial safety evaluation of two intra-articular (IA) injections of SM04690 (each at the dose of 0.07mg per 2mL injection) approximately six months apart into the target knee of moderately to severely symptomatic osteoarthritis (OA) subjects. Subjects who completed this 52-week long study were invited to enter the extension phase for an additional 52 weeks of treatment.
NCT05690386
A 104 week dose finding open label trial followed by an optional 78 week open label extension of lonapegsomatropin, a long-acting growth hormone product, administered once-a-week versus daily somatropin product in prepubertal individuals with Turner syndrome. Approximately 48 individuals (12 individuals per arm) will be randomized to receive one of three doses of lonapegsomatropin or a daily injection of somatropin. This is a trial that will be conducted in the United States.
NCT06921785
This is a Phase III, randomised, open-label, sponsor-blinded, 3-arm, multicentre, global study assessing the efficacy and safety of rilvegostomig in combination with bevacizumab with or without tremelimumab compared to atezolizumab in combination with bevacizumab. This study will be conducted in participants with advanced HCC who are not amenable to curative therapy or locoregional therapy
NCT05931276
The investigators aim to determine, using a point-of-care randomized controlled trial design, if hemodialysis patients, who are randomized to metoprolol succinate (a dialyzable, beta-1 selective beta blocker), have an improved cardiovascular outcome compared to those randomized to carvedilol (a non-dialyzable, non-selective beta blocker with alpha-1 antagonist properties). The investigators will also examine intervention practices to identify components that best support engagement and sustainability.
NCT02556736
All participants in phase 1 and phase 2a had hand motion visual acuity or worse. If efficacy was demonstrated from phase 1, better vision subjects could be enrolled; however, efficacy was not demonstrated.
NCT05873816
The goal of this prospective, multi-center, randomized, controlled study is to compare the safety and efficacy of the ProtEmbo Cerebral Embolic Protection device to a hybrid control (no embolic protection device ('No Device') and the Sentinel device) in subjects with severe symptomatic native aortic valve stenosis indicated undergoing a TAVR procedure.
NCT06832306
Multi-center, randomized, controlled, open-label Phase 2 feasibility trial. Subjects on mechanical ventilation (MV) for acute hypoxemic respiratory failure (AHRF) with lung injury (including subjects who meet criteria for acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS)) will be randomized 2:1 to diaphragm neurostimulation-assisted ventilation (DNAV) using the AeroNova System plus lung-protective ventilation (Treatment) vs. lung-protective ventilation alone (Control).
NCT05357040
To evaluate the acute and sustained antidepressant effects of nitrous oxide in people with major depressive disorder; and further evaluate these effects by identifying the optimal dose and regimen to guide current practice, and to plan a future large pragmatic trial.
NCT06370572
The purpose of this study is to learn if the Pain in Advanced Dementia (PAINAD) scale can improve emergency pain care in persons living with dementia (PLWD). It is hypothesized that a PAINAD electronic health record (EHR) prompt that appears to emergency department (ED) staff will enable them to accurately assess pain levels and lead to better pain treatment for PLWD.
NCT04131647
The identification of intermittent fasting as an alternative method to traditional weight maintenance protocols could have a significant impact on preventing body weight regain common after successful weight loss, and potentially lead to a reduction in pharmaceutical and clinical costs related to the care of overweight and obese adults.
NCT07329153
The purpose of this study is to confirm the efficacy of two recently introduced repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) interventions - accelerated intermittent theta-burst stimulation (aiTBS) and individualized neuronavigation - in treatment-resistant depression (TRD). Using a three-arm design (neuronavigated aiTBS, non-neuronavigated aiTBS, and sham), this randomized controlled trial (RCT) is the first to specifically investigate the incremental benefit of neuronavigation within an accelerated stimulation protocol, as well as the first confirmatory RCT comparing the efficacy of each of these active treatments vs. sham, overcoming previous generalizability issues and being conducted in an independent, multicenter US TRD sample.
NCT02586857
A Phase 1b/2, Multicenter, Open-Label Study of ACP-196 in Subjects with Recurrent Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM)
NCT03267498
This phase II trial studies how well nivolumab and chemoradiotherapy works in treating patients with stage II-IVB nasopharyngeal cancer. Monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab, may block tumor growth in different ways by targeting certain cells. Chemoradiotherapy is the combination of chemotherapy and radiation therapy and may prevent the cancer from spreading when combined with nivolumab. Giving nivolumab and chemoradiotherapy may work better in treating patients with stage II-IVB nasopharyngeal cancer.
