NCT03859986
This is a Phase 2, randomized, double-blind, vehicle-controlled, parallel-group study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of ALX-101 Gel 5% and a matching ALX-101 Gel Vehicle when applied topically twice daily for 56 days in adult and adolescent subjects with moderate atopic dermatitis
NCT03080701
The investigators propose to build on the success of the Systems of Support to Increase Colorectal Cancer trial (SOS, R01CA121125, Green) and focus on disparity groups who are less likely to be current for colorectal cancer (CRC) screening. We will test whether financial incentives increases screening uptake and decreases screening disparities. The investigators hypothesize that CRC screening rates will be higher in patients offered mailed fecal kits and financial incentives than those offered mailed fecal kits alone.
NCT00326209
To evaluate the long-term safety and tolerability of encapsulated mesalamine Granules (eMG) (formerly referred to as Mesalamine Pellets \[MP\]) in participants with ulcerative colitis currently in remission.
NCT01672853
The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether simtuzumab (GS-6624) is effective at preventing the progression of liver fibrosis in adults with primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC).
NCT03195010
This pilot clinical trial compares the safety of two different platelet transfusion "thresholds" among patients with blood cancer or treatment-induced thrombocytopenia whose condition requires anticoagulant medication (blood thinners) for blood clots. Giving relatively fewer platelet transfusions may reduce the side effects of frequent platelet transfusions without leading to undue bleeding.
NCT00107172
This randomized phase III trial studies surgery and internal radiation therapy to see how well they work compared to surgery alone in treating patients with stage I non-small cell lung cancer. Surgery may be an effective treatment for non-small cell lung cancer. Internal radiation uses radioactive material placed directly into or near a tumor to kill tumor cells. It is not yet known whether surgery and internal radiation therapy are more effective than surgery alone in treating non-small cell lung cancer.
NCT02247531
This study is a Phase III, double-masked, multicenter, randomized, sham injection-controlled study evaluating the efficacy and safety of lampalizumab administered by intravitreal injections in participants with geographic atrophy (GA) secondary to age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
NCT01130493
This is a study to compare the efficacy of IPX066 and CLE in subjects with advanced Parkinson's disease.
NCT02760602
The main purpose of this study is to investigate the safety and efficacy of the study drug solanezumab in participants with prodromal Alzheimer's disease (AD).
NCT01833481
In a previous study conducted within the Center for Musculoskeletal Research (CMR) on Total Hip Arthroplasties (THA), it was determined that the investigators could simultaneously capture in vivo sound and motion of the femoral head within the acetabular cup during weight-bearing activities for subjects implanted with either a metal-on-polyethylene (MOP), metal-on-metal (MOM) or ceramic-on-ceramic (COC) THA. This was the first study to apply sound analysis as an impulse excitation technique for testing hip conditions and for measuring femoral head sliding in the acetabular component of human hip joints by acoustic means. Unfortunately, no studies have been conducted to compare the in vivo kinematics and sound for subjects implanted using various surgical approaches. It could be hypothesized that subjects having various surgical approaches could lead to an increase or reduction of in vivo hip separation. Therefore, the objective of this study is to analyze a total of 30 subjects implanted with either an anterior (10 patients), anterior-lateral (10 patients), or posterior-lateral (10 patients) surgical approach to determine if any of these surgical approaches leads to less or more in vivo hip separation. All subjects will be analyzed under in vivo weight-bearing conditions using video fluoroscopy to determine in vivo motion.
NCT03669575
The purpose of the study is to determine whether the palmitoleic acid supplementation can reduce the serum inflammatory biomarkers and low quality of life scores due to musculoskeletal discomfort. The study design is a 2-arm placebo-controlled double blind crossover trial. The randomized sequence of a single crossover is divided into 1:1 and each supplementation is three weeks with no washout in between.
NCT01130272
The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of different doses of JNJ-27018966 (eluxadoline) compared with placebo in the treatment of patients with irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea (IBS-d).
NCT01836029
The purpose of this study is to compare the progression-free survival of patients with recurrent or metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (SCCHN) treated with VTX-2337 + cisplatin or carboplatin + 5-FU + cetuximab versus patients treated with cisplatin or carboplatin + 5-FU + cetuximab alone (standard-of-care; SOC). Safety and overall survival will also be evaluated.
NCT02987972
This study is designed to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity of two different lots of V114 in healthy infants 6 to 12 weeks (\>=42 days to \<=90 days) of age. The primary hypothesis of the study is that the proportion of participants receiving V114 who have serotype specific IgG \>=0.35 mcg/mL for each of pneumococcal serotypes 1, 3, 4, 5, 6A, 6B, 7F, 9V, 14, 18C, 19A, 19F, and 23F at 1 month after Dose 3 is non-inferior to that for recipients of Prevnar 13™.
NCT01190176
This study is intended to provide up to a maximum of four years of annual oncogenic human papillomavirus (HPV) DNA testing and cervical cytology examination for NCT00294047 study subjects who displayed normal cervical cytology but tested positive for oncogenic HPV infection at their concluding NCT00294047 study visit. Women who were pregnant at their concluding NCT00294047 study visit may also be included in this study, as no cervical sample could be collected at that visit. The objectives and outcome measures of the primary phase (NCT00294047) are presented in a separate protocol posting.
NCT02648204
This trial is conducted in Asia, Europe and the United States of America (USA). The aim of the trial is to investigate efficacy and safety of semaglutide versus dulaglutide as add-on to metformin in subjects with type 2 diabetes.
NCT00071799
The purpose of this study is to determine whether patients with high-risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) treated with azacitidine have improved survival compared to conventional care treatments. The study will also assess the effect of treatments on response, duration of response, and transformation to acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The study will continue for 12 months following last patient enrolled. See study AZA PH GL 2003 CL 001 E for information about the extension to this study.
NCT01390220
The purpose of this study is to examine the safety and effectiveness of USL261 for the outpatient treatment of seizure clusters.
NCT02034916
The purpose of this 2-stage, 2-cohort Phase 2 trial is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of talazoparib (also known as BMN 673) in subjects with locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer with a deleterious germline BRCA 1 or BRCA 2 mutation. Subjects will be assigned to either Cohort 1 or 2 based on prior chemotherapy for metastatic disease: * Cohort 1) Subjects with a documented PR or CR to a prior platinum-containing regimen for metastatic disease with disease progression \> 8 weeks following the last dose of platinum; or * Cohort 2) Subjects who have received \> 2 prior chemotherapy regimens for metastatic disease and who have had no prior platinum therapy for metastatic disease
NCT02612857
The purpose of this study is to determine how safe and effective IMO-8400 is in adults with dermatomyositis.
