NCT03573505
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of BG00011 compared with placebo in participants with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). The secondary objectives of this study are: to evaluate the efficacy of BG00011 compared with placebo in participants with IPF as determined by change in percent predicted forced (expiratory) vital capacity (FVC); to assess progression-free survival in participants who receive BG00011 compared with placebo; to assess the occurrence of IPF exacerbation in participants who receive BG00011 compared with placebo; to assess the incidence of absolute decline in FVC ≥10% in participants who receive BG00011 compared with placebo; to assess the time to death or lung transplantation in participants who receive BG00011 compared with placebo, and the transplant-free survival rate at Week 26 and Week 52; to assess the time to non-elective hospitalizations in participants who receive BG00011 compared with placebo; to assess additional pulmonary function test (PFT) findings in participants who receive BG00011 compared with placebo; To assess performance on the 6 minute walk test (6MWT) in participants who receive BG00011 compared with placebo; to evaluate the safety and tolerability of BG00011; and to evaluate the serum concentration of BG00011.
NCT01261793
The primary objective of the study is to confirm the clinical efficacy of epratuzumab in the treatment of subjects with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE).
NCT03013517
This is an open-label, follow-up study for subjects who completed the PEPITES study. Subjects will be offered enrollment in this follow-up study to receive Viaskin Peanut 250 μg for 2 additional years if previously on active treatment in the PEPITES study, or for 3 years if previously on placebo in the PEPITES study.
NCT01570036
The study will be a multi-center, prospective, randomized, single-blinded, placebo-controlled Phase II trial of Herceptin + NeuVax(TM) vaccine (E75 peptide/granulocyte macrophage-colony stimulating factor) (GM-CSF) versus Herceptin + GM-CSF alone. The target study population is node-positive (NP) (or node-negative \[NN\] if negative for both ER and PR) breast cancer patients with HER2 1+ and 2+ expressing tumors who are disease-free after standard of care therapy. Disease-free subjects after standard of care multi-modality therapy will be screened and HLA-typed. E75 is a CD8-eliciting peptide vaccine that was restricted to HLA-A2+ or HLA-A3+ patients (approximately two-thirds of the US population), and has been extended to HLA-A24+ and HLA-A26+ as well.
NCT02763215
This was a 24-month study to assess copper parameters in participants with Wilson disease (WD) treated with standard of care (SoC) medications. After providing informed consent, participants meeting all inclusion and no exclusion criteria were enrolled into the study as outpatients. The participants' routine clinic visits were scheduled according to the standard clinical practice at the study center and at the discretion of the treating physician at approximate 6-month intervals. At the time of enrollment, participants were receiving SoC medications for the treatment of WD, which could include penicillamine, trientine, zinc, or a combination of a copper chelator and zinc. If treatment was interrupted or stopped during the course of the study, participants continued in the study and biological samples and clinical data were continued to be collected for the full 24-month study period. Dosing with SoC agents was individualized and managed by the treating physician at the study center according to standard clinical practice at the site.
NCT02083809
Currently, there is very little research to identify ways to decrease blood loss during D\&E (dilation and evacuation) procedures. The objective is to determine whether routine use of intravenous oxytocin will improve bleeding outcomes at the time of D\&E at 18-24-weeks gestation. To evaluate the hypothesis, investigators will perform a randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled trial. The patient will be followed until discharged from the postoperative care unit during which time patient satisfaction, pain score and postoperative bleeding will be assessed.
NCT01412229
This is a non-randomized, open-label phase II trial of 40 patients with poor prognosis head and neck cancer, defined as surgically unresectable and/or ≥N2b disease and judged appropriate for non-surgical definitive therapy.
NCT01373086
This study will assess the efficacy and safety of LFF269 compared to placebo after treatment in subjects with essential hypertension.
NCT01371656
This randomized phase III trial studies how well levofloxacin works in preventing infection in young patients with acute leukemia receiving chemotherapy or undergoing stem cell transplant. Giving antibiotics may be effective in preventing or controlling early infection in patients receiving chemotherapy or undergoing stem cell transplant for acute leukemia. It is not yet known whether levofloxacin is effective in preventing infection.
NCT01387802
The current study will assess the real - life effectiveness of adalimumab in the management of Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) with emphasis on the prevention and management of extra-articular manifestations.
NCT01362855
The purpose of the study is to inform decision-makers of the best strategies to implement advanced care planning (ACP). An advanced care plan (ACP) is a verbal or written instruction describing what kind of care an individual would want (or not want)if they are no longer able speak for themselves to make health care decisions.
NCT01908751
The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of surgical fixation (cancellous screws versus sliding hip screws) and biologic intervention (Vitamin D versus placebo) on patient important outcomes.
NCT03199703
This will be a prospective single-blinded, randomized, controlled trial comparing the effectiveness and safety of transseptal puncture using the Baylis transseptal system to transseptal left atrial access with standard transseptal equipment (usual care) in patients undergoing catheter ablation procedures for atrial fibrillation with the cryoballoon system. The targeted population will consist of patients with symptomatic paroxysmal atrial fibrillation undergoing pulmonary vein isolation with the cryoballoon system.
NCT02405182
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a disabling and rapidly progressive neurodegenerative disorder. There is no treatment that significantly slows progression. Increasing age is an important risk factor for developing ALS; thus, the societal impact of this devastating disease will become more profound as the population ages. A significant hurdle to finding effective treatment has been an inability to accurately measure brain degeneration in humans. Advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques hold promise in this respect, and may assist in aiding diagnosis and the efficient testing of new drugs. Different MRI features of brain degeneration will be measured in a large sample of patients with ALS. The study will operate within the Canadian ALS Neuroimaging Consortium (CALSNIC). CALSNIC is a clinical research platform comprised of ALS clinics with standardized clinical and neuroimaging protocols.
NCT00411528
The objective of this study is to assess the response of patupilone plus prednisone compared to docetaxel plus prednisone on prostate specific antigen (PSA) in patients with metastatic hormone refractory prostate cancer. Additionally, this study will assess the response on measureable disease and the effects on patient-reported outcomes.
NCT03446846
MIN-117C03 is a 6-week, 3-arm, randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled study to investigate the safety and efficacy of MIN-117 in male and female patients with Major Depressive Disorder, aged 18 to 65 years. Approximately 324 patients were to be randomly assigned to 1 of 3 treatment arms, including placebo, 2.5 mg MIN-117, or 5.0 mg MIN-117, in a 2:1:1 ratio.
