NCT03219164
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of a 14-day course versus a 28-day course of aztreonam for inhalation solution (AZLI) in pediatric participants with new onset Pseudomonas aeruginosa respiratory tract infection or colonization.
NCT03663335
The purpose of this study is to investigate the safety, efficacy, pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of three CFZ533 dose regimens in kidney transplant recipients. This study will allow assessment of the ability of CFZ533 to replace Calcineurin inhibitors (CNIs) in terms of anti-rejection efficacy, while providing better renal function with a better safety and tolerability profile. Results of this study will be used to inform the CFZ533 dose and regimen selection for investigation in later phases of clinical development.
NCT03395704
This study is a Phase 2 multicenter, randomized, placebo controlled, single-blind study. The primary objective of the study is to compare the effect of weekly dosing of LJPC-401 (synthetic human hepcidin) versus placebo on transferrin saturation (TSAT) in an adult hereditary hemochromatosis patient population.
NCT01434290
RATIONALE: Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Specialized radiation therapy that delivers a high dose of radiation directly to the tumor may kill more tumor cells and cause less damage to normal tissue. Given radiation therapy in different ways may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This randomized phase II trial studies radiation therapy to see how well it works in treating patients with prostate cancer.
NCT03951077
This study will assess the potential impact of elagolix on disordered pituitary and ovarian hormones in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
NCT04722835
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a heterogeneous disease that affects only a fraction of those who smoke tobacco. The origin of this variability in susceptibility to develop COPD is unclear, but understanding its underlying biology has important implications for our ability to design suitable preventative and therapeutic strategies for its management. This Department of Defense (DOD) discovery research proposes to develop methodologies and generate preliminary data needed to lay the foundation for a large study that would investigate the underlying biological susceptibility of those who smoke tobacco to develop COPD.
NCT04554576
The purpose of this study is to evaluate patient satisfaction and health status before and after a 6-week established self-management training program for middle to older age Hispanic Americans living with chronic musculoskeletal pain in a large, hospital based urban health maintenance organization. The secondary aim is to evaluate the effects of remote, nonfrequent healthcare provider feedback for 6 months on health care utilization, health status and patient satisfaction.
NCT02805257
This study will determine the effectiveness of Mitomycin-C use in the glaucoma surgery Ahmed valve implantation. Approximately 100 patients will be enrolled, with half receiving the Mitomycin-C treatment and the other half receiving placebo treatment.
NCT03365791
The purpose of this signal seeking study is to determine whether treatment with PDR001 and LAG525 demonstrates sufficient efficacy in advanced malignancies to warrant further study.
NCT03865615
This will be a laboratory-based investigation of the behavioral and neural effects of intranasal oxytocin on craving for alcohol and approach bias in moderate to heavy alcohol using subjects. This study uses a within-subject, randomized, placebo-controlled, counterbalanced, crossover design to compare the effects oxytocin and placebo. In this way, all subjects will be scanned twice; once following oxytocin administration and once following placebo administration, and will complete a series of behavioral tasks (both in and out of the scanner) at both visits.
NCT03028961
The purpose of the proposed research study is to evaluate whether bone marrow transplant patients prefer the Stanford letter advance care planning tool to the standard Advance directive. Completion of advance care planning prior to BMT is very important, but not often done. The investigators believe that the Stanford Letter will be preferred by patients and will allow them to feel more comfortable and share more of their wishes with family members and the medical team.
NCT03023735
The goal of this study is to better understand how clinicians give genetic risk information to patients from multi-ethnic groups and how patients understand this information and remember it and act upon it. In addition investigators want to know how to better communicate with patients about complex health issues across the health literacy divide and communication gap that exists between doctors and their patients.
NCT02365883
The purpose of this study is to image human prostate tissue using a new transrectal photoacoustic imaging probe and correlate this with ultrasound and MRI imaging performed once the specimen has been surgically removed. We hope to see what we can visualize with our device as this has never been done before. Eventually, we hope to use a similar device to image the prostate in men being seen by their doctor for prostate cancer.
NCT04911478
The purpose of this study is to assess long-term side effects from subjects who receive an Adicet Bio γδ CAR T cell product. Subjects will join this study once they complete the parent interventional study. No additional study drug will be given, but subjects can receive other therapies for their cancer while they are being followed for long term safety in this study. For a period of 15 years from the first administration of Adicet Bio allogeneic γδ CAR T cell product, subjects will be assessed for long-term safety and survival through collection of data that include safety, efficacy, pharmacokinetics and immunogenicity.
NCT00788502
The goal of this study is to determine the effect of Healing Touch (HT) on the stress, anxiety, and self-efficacy experiences of women undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) in a randomized, controlled design. HT is a gentle, non-invasive form of energy-balancing work that promotes relaxation.
NCT03807349
The objective of this prospective study is to confirm safety and performance of N-Force Screws augmented with N-Force Blue applied in intracapsular proximal femur fracture treatment.
NCT03738423
The primary objective of the study is to assess the efficacy of REGN3500 monotherapy in Atopic dermatitis (AD), as well as understand the dose-response relationship, compared with placebo treatment, in adult patients with moderate-to-severe AD. Secondary objectives are to: * Assess the safety and tolerability of subcutaneous (SC) doses of REGN3500 monotherapy in adult patients with moderate-to-severe AD * Assess the Pharmacokinetics (PK) of REGN3500 in adult patients with moderate-to-severe AD * Assess the immunogenicity of REGN3500 in adult patients with moderate-to-severe AD
NCT02625610
The purpose of this study was to demonstrate superiority of treatment with avelumab versus continuation of first-line chemotherapy.
NCT01307423
The purpose of this study is to determine whether apremilast is safe and effective in the treatment of patients with psoriatic arthritis who have not been previously treated with DMARDs. Apremilast is proposed to improve signs and symptoms of psoriatic arthritis (tender and swollen joints, pain, physical function) in treated patients.
NCT03007888
Primary Objective: To compare the pharmacokinetics (PK) of single and multiple doses of IPX203 with Immediate release carbidopa-levodopa (IR CD-LD) in subjects with advanced Parkinson's disease (PD). Secondary Objectives: To compare the pharmacodynamics of single and multiple doses of IPX203 with IR CD-LD. To compare the efficacy of IPX203 with IR CD-LD following multiple doses. To evaluate the safety of IPX203.
