NCT01458275
This is a 2-week, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel group, efficacy and safety study of ciclesonide nasal aerosol administered once daily to male and premenarchal female subjects 6 to 11 years-old diagnosed with SAR.
NCT00879229
Ambrisentan is an endothelin receptor antagonist used for the treatment of pulmonary hypertension (PH). Based on research suggesting a role for endothelin-1 in the pathogenesis of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and the poor prognosis for patients with IPF who are also diagnosed with PH, this study was designed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of ambrisentan in that patient population.
NCT01298843
The purpose of this study is to assess blood levels of Ceftaroline fosamil in children.
NCT00107848
The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of treatment with PROVIGIL in children and adolescents with excessive sleepiness (ES) associated with narcolepsy or OSAHS (obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea), when administered for up to 12 months. Safety and tolerability will be evaluated throughout the study by means of adverse event information, clinical laboratory test results, vital signs measurements, and body weight and height measurements; quarterly physical examination findings; and 12 lead electrocardiograph (ECG) evaluations at the end of the study. In addition, the cognitive and behavioral effects of PROVIGIL will be assessed quarterly as measured by the Child Behavior Checklist for Ages 6-18 (CBCL/6-18), a brief psychiatric interview, and the Kaufman Brief Intelligence Test (KBIT 2).
NCT00412373
The purpose of this study is to measure the effectiveness and assess the safety of different dosages (from 3 mg/day to 12 mg/day) of the antipsychotic paliperidone extended-release (ER) in patients who are experiencing an acute episode of schizoaffective disorder.
NCT00228540
An 8-week, Open-Label Study to Characterize the Response to Modafinil (85mg Film-Coated Tablet) Treatment at Dosages up to 425mg/Day in Children and Adolescents with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) (With an Open-Ended Extension Period)
NCT00214955
A Double-Blind, Randomized, Placebo-Controlled Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of ORAVESCENT Fentanyl Citrate for the Management of Breakthrough Pain in Opioid-Tolerant Patients with Chronic Neuropathic Pain
NCT00535132
The purpose of this study is to evaluate medication satisfaction after at least 4 weeks of paliperidone ER (extended-release), an antipsychotic, treatment in patients with schizophrenia who were previously taking either 4 or 6 mg of risperidone daily by mouth, but who are not satisfied with their treatment.
NCT00105287
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of OraVescent fentanyl when used long-term to relieve breakthrough pain in opioid tolerant cancer patients.
NCT00289081
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the clinical performance of the cruciate ligament retaining or cruciate ligament substituting implants by obtaining a series of primary TKAs. Outcome scoring and radiographic assessment will be the methods used to evaluate performance.
NCT00600964
This protocol is being run to determine the best phase II dose and schedule of obatoclax in patients with previously untreated CLL.
NCT01688947
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the analgesic efficacy of 2 dose levels of V116517 versus placebo.
NCT00069758
Summary: As this is an open label study, all patients will receive SDX-105 by 30-60 minute intravenous infusion on day 1 and day 2. Treatment will repeat every 21 days. Treatment can continue for up to one year in the absence of disease progression or unacceptable toxicity. Patients will be followed until disease progression. Rationale: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as SDX-105, use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Purpose: This study will evaluate the effectiveness and safety in non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in patients who are refractory to Rituxan.
NCT00566449
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of JNJ-31001074 compared to placebo in adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
NCT00576732
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness (change in level of irritability and related behaviors) and safety and tolerability of the administration of 2 different fixed dose levels of risperidone (an atypical antipsychotic drug) compared with placebo in children or adolescents who have autism, and to evaluate the safety and tolerability of the drug for additional 26 weeks after the initial 6-week study period.
NCT01240538
This phase I trial studies the side effects and the best dose of viral therapy in treating young patients with solid tumors that have come back or that have not responded to standard therapy. Some tumors have cells with a genetic weakness that makes them unable to fight off a virus called wild-type reovirus. The virus causes cells with this weakness to die, and may therefore be able to kill tumor cells without damaging normal cells. Cyclophosphamide is a drug used in chemotherapy that stops tumor cells from dividing and causes them to die. Giving wild-type reovirus together with cyclophosphamide may kill more tumor cells.
NCT01087957
To establish equivalence or incremental benefit to standard of care Ankle-Foot Orthosis (AFO) for patients with foot drop due to stroke, and to assess the functional improvement of ambulation and improved activities of daily living.
NCT01451645
The purpose of this study is to determine if once-daily treatment with colchicine, compared to placebo, is effective in preventing gout flares in patients who are initiating therapy with allopurinol.
NCT00447902
The main purposes of this study are: demonstrate the safety and efficacy of TPV/r among HCV or hepatitis B virus (HBV) co-infected HIV+population, three-class (NRTI, NNRTI, and PI) experienced, with documented resistance to more than one PI. Determine pharmacokinetic data in this co-infected population and potential utility of using therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) in improving efficacy outcomes.
NCT00343733
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of OraVescent fentanyl treatment compared to placebo treatment monthly over a 12-week treatment period in alleviating breakthrough pain (BTP) in opioid-tolerant patients with noncancer-related chronic pain.
