NCT01422876
This trial will evaluate use of BI 10773/linagliptin once daily (qd) fixed dose combination (FDC) in treatment naïve and metformin treated patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus to support approval by regulatory authorities.
NCT00476710
This project will compare the amount of bile acids and their kinetics in overweight and obese people with normal glucose metabolism, impaired glucose tolerance and frank type 2 diabetes. We hypothesize that bile acids will behave differently in these groups. We will also explore the effects of Colesevelam HCl, a medicine that lowers LDL cholesterol by binding bile acids, on bile acids in those groups. We hypothesize the drug may have different actions on bile acids in subjects with different degrees of abnormal glucose metabolism.
NCT00877032
The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and tolerability of RN6G in patients with dry, age-related macular degeneration.
NCT00831844
This phase II trial is studying the side effects and how well cixutumumab works in treating patients with relapsed or refractory solid tumors. Monoclonal antibodies, such as cixutumumab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them.
NCT00559117
Aim of the study is to evaluate the safety and find the maximal tolerated dose of VB-111 in Patients with Advanced Metastatic Cancer
NCT00989313
This study is designed to follow up patients, who have participated in the PEP005-028 study and observed complete clearance of their Actinic Keratosis (AK) lesions, over a 12 month period to assess both recurrence of AK lesions and long term safety in the selected treatment area.
NCT00229658
This is an open label, observational study designed to collect data that characterize the use of SYMLIN following the introduction of the medication into the marketplace. Health care providers and subjects selected for study participation are intended to be representative of those providers prescribing, and subjects receiving, SYMLIN therapy.
NCT00796666
As monotherapy for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) begins to fail additional therapies are introduced. Although co-administration of sitaxsentan and sildenafil is well tolerated the controlled safety/efficacy database of the combination is limited.
NCT00117598
This is an open-label, randomized trial in relapsed refractory subjects with mantle cell lymphoma (MCL).
NCT01802723
Dose Ranging Study
NCT00449865
The purpose of this trial is to determine if the nutritional supplement creatine slows the progression of Parkinson's disease over time.
NCT00081497
People with Fabry Disease have an alteration in their genetic material (DNA) which causes a deficiency of the alpha-galactosidase A enzyme. Fabrazyme (agalsidase beta) is a drug that helps to break down and removes certain types of fatty substances called "glycolipids". These glycolipids are normally present within the body in most cells. In Fabry disease, glycolipids build up in various tissues such as the liver, kidney, skin, and blood vessels because a-galactosidase A is not present, or is present in small quantities. The build up of glycolipid (globatriaosylceramide or GL-3) levels in these tissues in particular is thought to cause the clinical symptoms that are common to Fabry disease. This study analyzed the safety and efficacy of Fabrazyme in the treatment of patients with Fabry disease that previously participated in the AGAL-008-00 (NCT0074984) study.
NCT00283400
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the tolerability and safety of 25 percent human albumin therapy in patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage.
NCT01206556
This study is being done to evaluate how long the immune response from the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccine you / your child received persists. The immune response occurred after immunization and is what protects you/your child from HPV disease. You / your child received this vaccine as part of an earlier study (P1047). The vaccine is called Human Papillomavirus Vaccine (QHPV Vaccine, also known as GARDASIL®). The study will check to see if the protective effects (called "antibodies") produced by the vaccine have lasted, and for how long these effects will continue to last. You will not be given any medications or vaccines as part of this follow-up study.
NCT00346385
RATIONALE: Monoclonal antibodies, such as BB-10901, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. PURPOSE: This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of BB-10901 in treating patients with relapsed or refractory solid tumors.
NCT00990054
The purpose of this research study is to determine if plerixafor can make cells more sensitive to killing by cytarabine and daunorubicin, an anti-cancer drug regimen referred to as "7+3" that is commonly used in treating acute myeloid leukemia (AML). In this study, plerixafor is used with treatments cytarabine and daunorubicin and with and without granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (GCSF). Subjects will be monitored to see how well they tolerate the use of these drugs together and how well they work to treat the leukemia. The purpose of the study is to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) per plerixafor dosing schedule (once daily \[QD\] or twice daily \[BID\]), and/or recommended phase 2 dose (RP2D), by assessing safety and tolerability of plerixafor (Mozobil®) when used in combination with cytarabine and daunorubicin, and with and without granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF)
NCT00254891
To assess the efficacy and safety of PF-3512676 administered in combination with paclitaxel/carboplatin chemotherapy as first-line treatment in patients with locally advanced or metastatic Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) and to compare it to the efficacy and safety of paclitaxel
NCT01226290
The primary objective of this study is to establish the effectiveness and confirm the safety of the VizAblate System in ablating symptomatic uterine fibroids.
NCT00441467

NCT01450449
This is a multi-centre prospective, non-inferiority trial. Patients will be randomized to two treatment groups in a 1:1 ratio and will be stratified by age, Karnofsky Performance Status and extent of the surgical resection. This study will assess the effect of a one-week radiotherapy regimen in comparison with a three-week radiotherapy regimen on the survival of elderly and/or frail patients with glioblastoma multiforme (Frail: ≥\>50 years old and with a KPS of 50% or less50%-70%; Elderly and frail: ≥65 years and with a KPS of 50% - 70%; Elderly: ≥65 years and with a KPS of 80% - 100%).
