NCT03326076
This is an observational study to evaluate safety and efficacy outcomes in renal transplant recipients in whom post-transplant care is managed using AlloSure®. AlloSure® is a non-invasive test to measure donor-derived cell-free DNA (dd-cfDNA). The AlloSure test is intended to assess the probability of allograft rejection in kidney transplant recipients with clinical suspicion of rejection and to inform clinical decision-making regarding the necessity of renal biopsy in such patients at least 2 weeks post-transplant in conjunction with standard clinical assessment. Amendment 1 (A1): Is an observational study to develop and validate the clinical use of KidneyCare®.
NCT04391309
This study aims to address the following objectives: 1. To determine the efficacy of IC14, an anti-CD14 chimeric monoclonal antibody, in patients hospitalized with respiratory disease and hypoxemia due to SARS-CoV-2, in terms of improving the time to resolution of disease. 2. To determine the efficacy of IC14 in reducing the severity of respiratory disease in patients hospitalized with respiratory disease due to SARS-CoV-2. 3. To determine the safety of IC14 in patients hospitalized with respiratory disease due to SARS-CoV-2.
NCT03142191
This is a Phase 2, multicenter, multinational, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study evaluating the efficacy, safety, pharmacokinetics (PK), quality of life and exploratory pharmacodynamics (PD) of two treatment doses of CC-90001, 200 mg and 400 mg, compared with placebo, when delivered once daily per os (PO) in subjects with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). This study is designed to assess response to treatment by using measures of lung function, disease progression, fibrosis on radiography, and patient-reported outcomes. It will also assess dose response.
NCT03123250
Single-arm, interventional pivotal clinical trial collecting patient data from use of the AQUABEAM System, a personalized image-guided waterjet resection system that utilizes a high-velocity saline stream to resect and remove prostate tissue in males suffering from Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS) due to Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) with prostate volumes between 80 mL and 150 mL. The primary endpoints for safety and effectiveness will be measured at 3 months post-treatment. Treated subjects will be followed out to 60 months to collect long-term clinical data.
NCT03909100
This study aims to generate data that conveys participant's experiences such as their overall satisfaction with the CoolSculpting® treatment for their belly and love handles. By doing this, the study will provide insights for doctors to better inform participants about the expected outcomes.
NCT04957641
This study is about teenagers and adults with hereditary angioedema (HAE) type I and type II. In this study, the burden of illness means the impact of HAE in terms of long-term health outcomes and the financial cost. The main aims of this study are as follows: * to learn how often, how severe and where on the body HAE attacks occur. * to describe how HAE prophylaxis and on-demand medicines are prescribed and used. (Prophylaxis medicines prevent a bleed from happening and on-demand medicines treat a bleed when it occurs.) This study is about collecting data only; participants will not receive treatment as part of this study. Existing data available in the participant's medical records will be collected. Participants will be asked to complete an electronic questionnaire either on a website or by using an app on their mobile phone; data from this questionnaire will also be collected. Participants do not need to visit their doctor in addition to their normal visits.
NCT03197870
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of subcutaneously administered AKB-9778 15mg once daily or 15mg twice daily for 12 months in patients with moderate to severe non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy (NPDR).
NCT01216683
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as bendamustine hydrochloride, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Monoclonal antibodies, such as rituximab, can block cancer growth in different ways. Some block the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Others find cancer cells and help kill them or carry cancer-killing substances to them. Bortezomib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Biological therapies, such as lenalidomide, may stimulate the immune system in different ways and stop cancer cells from growing. It is not yet known whether giving bendamustine hydrochloride and rituximab together alone is more effective than giving bendamustine hydrochloride and rituximab together with bortezomib or lenalidomide in treating follicular lymphoma. PURPOSE: This randomized phase II trial is studying giving bendamustine hydrochloride and rituximab together with or without bortezomib followed by rituximab with or without lenalidomide to see how well they work in treating patients with high-risk stage II, stage III, or stage IV follicular lymphoma.
NCT04677465
This is a prospective, randomized, parallel group, double-blind, sham-controlled, multicenter clinical trial following patients to 2 years. The objective is to assess the safety and effectiveness of Bronchial Rheoplasty for the treatment of the symptoms of chronic bronchitis in adult COPD patients with moderate to severe chronic bronchitis. A total of 270 patients will be randomized at up to 40 study centers in the United States, Canada, and Europe.
NCT03865732
A clinical study to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of adjunctive ganaxolone therapy compared to placebo for the treatment of seizures in female children and young adults with genetically confirmed PCDH19 gene mutation.
NCT00071981
RATIONALE: Vaccines made from peptides may make the body build an immune response to kill tumor cells. PURPOSE: This randomized phase II trial is studying four different vaccines using melanoma peptides from cytotoxic T cells and helper T cells to see how well they work in treating patients with metastatic melanoma.
NCT00316888
RATIONALE: Monoclonal antibodies, such as cetuximab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some find tumor cells and kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Others interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin and fluorouracil, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Cetuximab may help cisplatin and fluorouracil work better by making tumor cells more sensitive to the drugs. It may also make tumor cells more sensitive to radiation therapy. Giving cetuximab together with chemotherapy and radiation therapy may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving cetuximab together with cisplatin, fluorouracil, and radiation therapy works in treating immunocompetent patients with stage I (closed to accrual as of 11/3/2008), stage II, (some stage II closed to accrual as of 11/3/2008) or stage III anal cancer.
NCT00064350
RATIONALE: Preclinical studies indicate that sorafenib is a potent inhibitor of Raf kinase in vitro and in vivo, with significant dose-dependent, anti-tumor activity in four different human tumor types including colon, pancreatic, lung, and ovarian. This activity was cytostatic in nature and was maintained if dosing was continued. That is, tumor growth is suspended while the drug is administered but returns to baseline rates when the agent is withdrawn. Therefore, the optimal schedule will be an uninterrupted one. To assess the activity of sorafenib in a timely manner and with a meaningful interpretation, a randomized discontinuation design was adopted in the present trial, conducted in a population who were potentially sensitive to sorafenib. PURPOSE: This randomized phase II trial is studying sorafenib to see how well it works compared to placebo in treating patients with refractory non-small cell lung cancer.
NCT04987294
The purpose of this Phase IIa study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability and pharmacodynamics of ALLN-346 in subjects with hyperuricemia and gout, and with mild to moderate chronic kidney disease.
