NCT01755546
The purpose of the long-terms study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and analgesic efficacy of EN3409 in subjects with moderate to severe chronic pain requiring continuous around-the-clock opioid analgesia for an extended period of time.
NCT00326885
The purpose of this study is to determine whether the investigational drug catumaxomab is a safe and effective treatment for recurrent symptomatic malignant ascites.
NCT00965380
The purpose of this study is to utilize Trinity Evolution in conjunction with an interbody spacer and supplemental posterior fixation of the surgeon's choice and to follow the patients to measure the clinical outcomes and rate of fusion. The hypothesis of the study is that Trinity Evolution combined with an interbody spacer and supplemental posterior fixation will result in fusion rates and clinical outcomes similar to those with other routinely used autograft and allograft materials including: fusion, improvement in pain and function, maintenance of lower extremity neurological function, and absence of serious adverse events related to the use of the Trinity Evolution product.
NCT00384839
The purpose of this research study is to find out what effects (good and bad) Vidaza has on patients with prostate cancer. This investigational drug is not approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of prostate cancer; however, it is approved in myelodysplastic syndrome - a bone marrow disease. The pharmaceutical company involved in this study, Pharmion Corporation, is the manufacturer of Vidaza.
NCT03175354
This is a randomized, double-blind, vehicle-controlled study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of ALX-101 Gel 1.5% and 5% and a matching ALX-101 Gel Vehicle when applied topically twice daily for 42 days to adult and adolescent subjects with moderate atopic dermatitis.
NCT00838201
The purpose of this study is to describe the safety and tolerability of up to 5 years (ie, 3 years under the 20040138 Amgen study and 2 years on this study) denosumab administration as measured by adverse events, immunogenicity, and safety laboratory parameters in subjects who previously received denosumab for non-metastatic prostate cancer.
NCT02581345
The purpose of the study is to evaluate efficacy, safety, and immunogenicity of a proposed adalimumab biosimilar (M923) and Humira in participants with moderate to severe chronic plaque-type psoriasis.
NCT00975221
This study is designed to demonstrate the efficacy and to assess the safety of cinacalcet for the reduction of hypercalcemia in patients with primary hyperparathyroidism for whom parathyroidectomy is indicated on the basis of an elevated corrected total serum calcium, but who are unable to undergo parathyroidectomy.
NCT02601300
This is a phase 2, open-label, multicenter study to explore the efficacy and safety of oral GED- 0301 in subjects with active UC, defined as a modified Mayo score (MMS) ≥ 4 and ≤ 9 and a Mayo endoscopic subscore≥ 2. Approximately 40 subjects will be enrolled using an Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) or an Interactive Web Response System (IWRS) to receive open-label, oral GED-0301 160 mg for duration of 52 week treatment. Enrollment of subjects with previous exposure to TNF-α blockers will be limited to approximately 15 subjects. The number of subjects with extensive colitis is targeted to comprise approximately 50% of the entire study population.
NCT01345929
This is a Phase 3, multicenter, prospective, randomized, double-blind, double dummy study of CXA 201 IV infusions (1500 mg q8h) versus levofloxacin IV infusions (750 mg qd) for the treatment of adults with a cUTI (including pyelonephritis).
NCT00100659
The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and efficacy of peginterferon alfa-2a (PEG-2a) in combination with ribavirin (RV) and PEG-2a alone for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (CHC) infection in children. The purpose of this study is also to determine whether PEG-2a in combination with RV or PEG-2a alone will result in a longer response rate in children with CHC.
NCT00975000
Hyperparathyroidism (HPT) is common in people with a kidney transplant. Patients with HPT often have high parathyroid hormone (PTH) levels and may have large parathyroid glands in the neck. Patients with HPT can develop bone disease (osteodystrophy). This bone disease can cause bone pain, fractures, and poor formation of red blood cells. Other problems from HPT may include increases in blood levels of calcium (hypercalcemia) and low blood levels of phosphorus (hypophosphatemia). The high calcium levels may cause calcium to deposit in body tissues. Calcium deposits can cause arthritis (joint pain and swelling), muscle inflammation, itching, gangrene (death of soft tissue), heart and lung problems or kidney transplant dysfunction (worsening of kidney transplant function). The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of cinacalcet (Sensipar/Mimpara) on high calcium levels in the blood in patients with HPT after a kidney transplant.
NCT01751165
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and immunogenicity of the GSK Biologicals' HZ vaccine 1437173A administered on either a 0,2-; 0,6- or 0,12-month schedule in adults aged 50 years or above, as the immunogenicity of the HZ vaccine administered at intervals longer than two months is not known.
NCT02074410
The purpose of this study is to determine the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of OMS643762 (the study drug) in subjects with Huntington's disease (HD).
NCT03119805
The purpose of this study is to define cut-off values of the most widely used composite scores and patient-reported outcomes, for levels corresponding to remission/low disease activity and for changes in levels corresponding to flares, in PsA, when remission/low disease activity and flare are defined from the patient and physician perspective. The ReFlaP (Remission/Flare in PsA) study is a prospective, multicentric international, longitudinal, observational study.
NCT01147640
A Phase 2, multicenter, prospective, randomized, double-blind study of CXA-101/ tazobactam (1000/500 mg q8h) and metronidazole (500 mg q8h) IV infusion vs. meropenem IV infusion (1000 mg q8h) and a matching saline placebo (q8h) in the treatment of cIAI in adult subjects. Dose adjustments for subjects with mild renal impairment are not necessary and subjects with more severe degrees of renal failure are excluded.
NCT01010984
The purpose of this study is to determine if LC beads loaded with Doxorubicin are a safe and effective treatment for melanoma that has spread to the liver.
NCT00516256
The aims include: 1. To measure the effect of the three study conditions on Quality of Life (QOL). * CHESS and Cancer Information Mentor will not differ initially (6 weeks) or late in treatment (6 months) in QOL * CHESS +Cancer Information Mentor will have the largest impact on QOL (initially and late in treatment) and will be significantly better than either CHESS or Cancer Information Mentor alone. 2. To measure potential intervening or mediating processes, so that we can determine how CHESS and the Cancer Information Mentor produce associated QOL benefits. 3. To conduct exploratory use analyses examining which types of CHESS content, sequential patterns of content use, or other characteristics of use behavior are associated with greater pretest-posttest improvements in QOL. 4. To conduct a secondary analysis exploring whether men whose partners have actively used CHESS do better than those whose partners did not use CHESS.
NCT03257540
The goal of this research study is to determine if union rates are affected by early weight-bearing after Lapidus Arthrodesis using the Phantom™ Intramedullary Nail. The study hypothesis is that the union rate for those who undergo a Lapidus Arthrodesis procedure with the Phantom™ Intramedullary Nail and participate in an early weight-bearing protocol will be non-inferior to union rates previously published for this procedure.
NCT02456584
This is a randomized, multi-center, parallel-group Phase I study to evaluate the pharmacodynamics (PD) of Medroxyprogesterone Acetate (MPA) after a single subcutaneous (SC) injection of 150 mg/mL or 300 mg/2 mL Depo-Provera CI in the abdomen of women of reproductive age with a confirmed ovulatory baseline cycle.
