NCT02516410
Study to evaluate the efficacy of VX-661 in combination with ivacaftor (IVA, VX-770) through Week 12 in participants with cystic fibrosis (CF) who are heterozygous for the F508del mutation on the CF transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene and with a second CFTR mutation that is not likely to respond to VX-661 and/or IVA therapy (F508del/not responsive \[NR\]).
NCT00070135
This phase II trial studies how well fludarabine and busulfan followed by a donor (allogeneic) stem cell transplant work in treating older patients with acute myeloid leukemia that is in first complete remission. Giving low doses of chemotherapy, such as fludarabine and busulfan, before a donor peripheral blood stem cell transplant helps stop the growth of cells in the bone marrow, including normal blood-forming cells (stem cells) and cancer cells. It may also stops the patient's immune system from rejecting the donor's stem cells. When the healthy stem cells from a donor are infused into the patient they may help the patient's bone marrow make stem cells, red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. The donated stem cells may replace the patient's immune system and help destroy any remaining cancer cells. Sometimes the transplanted cells from a donor can make an immune response against the body's normal cells (called graft-versus-host disease). Giving tacrolimus, methotrexate, and rabbit antithymocyte globulin before or after the transplant may stop this from happening.
NCT02392234
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of VX-661 in combination with ivacaftor (IVA, VX-770) and IVA monotherapy in participants with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) who are heterozygous for F508del-CFTR allele and a second allele with a CFTR mutation predicted to have residual function.
NCT01223235
The immune system of the body has the ability to fight and eliminate infections and cancers. Immune treatments, such as in this study, seek to teach the immune system to find and destroy cancer cells. The purpose of this study is to test whether it is safe to treat the cancer with a vaccine and another drug called bevacizumab (also known as Avastin).
NCT01335737
The purpose of this study is to test the hypothesis that aerobic exercise leads to attenuation of the inflammatory response to lipopolysaccharide (LPS) stimulation.
NCT01601847
The goal of this study is to identify a vitamin D supplementation strategy that best promotes the lung, immune, and overall health of black infants born preterm (28-36 weeks gestational age). This is a high risk population that seems to have unique vitamin D needs, and inappropriate supplementation may promote wheezing or allergy. The results of this study will help form nutritional recommendations for the approximately 100,000 black infants born at 30-36 weeks gestational age in the U.S. every year.
NCT00195013
Patients with breast cancer receiving paclitaxel chemotherapy who have mild symptoms of peripheral neuropathy will receive glutamine or placebo to try and improve symptoms.
NCT01113957
The purpose of this study is to determine the objective response rate of ABT-888 when given in combination with temozolomide versus pegylated liposomal doxorubicin (PLD) alone in subjects with recurrent high grade serous ovarian cancer.
NCT00728949
The purpose of this study is to determine whether IMC-A12 offers increased progression-free survival (PFS) associated with IMC-A12 monotherapy and IMC-A12 in combination with an antiestrogen therapy in patients with hormone receptor positive advanced or metastatic breast cancer that have experienced disease progression on antiestrogen therapy.
NCT00090987
RATIONALE: Imatinib mesylate may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking the enzymes necessary for their growth. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well imatinib mesylate works in treating patients with HIV-related Kaposi's sarcoma.
NCT02533570
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of brentuximab vedotin in adults with active systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
NCT01215942
The primary purpose of this study is to help answer if LY2127399 is safe and effective during long-term treatment in participants with Rheumatoid Arthritis. This study is comprised of 2 periods: Period 1: Unblinded treatment for up to 240 weeks for participants who enroll from Study H9B-MC-BCDO (BCDO) (NCT01202760) or Study H9B-MC-BCDV (BCDV) (NCT01202773) or up to 168 weeks for participants who enroll from Study H9B-MC-BCDM (BCDM) (NCT01198002). Period 2: 48-week post-treatment follow-up
NCT01077700
This is an efficacy and safety study evaluating an experimental treatment for cognitive deficits in adults with schizophrenia.
NCT03109743
The investigators will conduct a pilot randomized controlled trial (RCT) of Sisters-GPS with HIV-positive women of color with suboptimal ARV adherence and detectable HIV viral loads (VL). Participants will be randomized to Sisters-GPS (intervention involving weekly group clinical visits for seven weeks plus social media website) or appointment with an adherence counselor (a minimum of 3 visits) (control condition). Data sources will include interviews, medical and pharmacy records, and blood samples. The primary outcome will be ARV adherence at the completion of the intervention assessed via pill count. The secondary outcome will be HIV VL suppression.
NCT00753272
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals' influenza vaccine GSK2186877A in adults 65 year of age and older. The study design is divided in two surveillance phases: one passive phase along the study during the influenza season and one active surveillance phase during the influenza peak season.
NCT03552666
The objective of this clinical study is to evaluate and compare the bioequivalence between a single oral dose of vitamin D3 gummy vitamin versus vitamin D3 tablet in healthy adults.
NCT03552653
The objective of this study is to evaluate and compare the bioequivalence between a single oral dose of vitamin D3 gummy vitamin versus vitamin D3 tablet in healthy adults.
NCT00529516
Since influenza vaccines are administered every year because of the frequent change in their antigenic composition, the safety and immunogenicity profile of GSK Biologicals' influenza vaccine GSK576389A will be re-evaluated after repeated vaccine administration. In this observer blind study, the subjects previously enrolled in study 104888 (NCT00377585) will receive a dose with the 2007-2008 season's formulations of Fluarix or GSK576389A. Only subjects who were previously enrolled in study 104888 (NCT00377585) are eligible for participation in this study.
NCT02057705
This is a prospective, non-interventional, longitudinal study of the natural history and function of approximately 60 patients with MTM from the United States, Canada and Europe. The duration of the study, including the enrollment period, will be 36 months. Data from the study will be used to characterize the disease course of MTM and determine which outcome measures will be the best to assess the efficacy of potential therapies.
NCT02058563
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the immunogenicity and safety of GSK's trivalent MMR (Priorix®), comparing it to Merck"s MMR vaccine (M-M-R®II), which is approved for use in the US.
