NCT02429674
The focus of this study is on identifying how Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Adolescents (IPT-A) with depression works to change sleep and related biological markers found in saliva, namely cortisol and pro-inflammatory cytokine levels. The long-term goal of this project is to understand the biological mechanisms of recovery from depression in order to assist in selecting and guiding personalized psychotherapeutic interventions with the highest likelihood of success for individual adolescents with depression.
NCT00746967
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and toleration of oral sildenafil administered as required by women with Female Sexual Arousal Disorder (FSAD) who successfully complete one of the following Pfizer-sponsored, 12-week, double-blinded clinical trials: A1481082 or A1481123. Addition of this 52-week open-label extension will increase the total duration of sildenafil exposure to 64 weeks. Sustained efficacy will also be evaluated after 3 and 6 months of open-label therapy.
NCT00644605
To evaluate the effect of three doses of oral sildenafil (20, 40 and 80 mg three times a day \[TID\]) on exercise capacity, as measured by the 6-Minute Walk test, as well as the safety and tolerability, after 12 weeks of treatment in subjects with pulmonary arterial hypertension who are aged 18 years and over. To investigate the plasma concentration-effect relationship and to determine the population pharmacokinetic (PK) parameters.
NCT00159874
Active treatment, dose-blinded extension study evaluating the safety and long term efficacy of sildenafil citrate in children with PAH.
NCT02500199
Part 1: to assess the safety and tolerability of pyrotinib and to define the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of pyrotinib in patients with Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2)-positive advanced solid tumors (metastatic breast cancer, gastric cancer, or other solid tumors that have no targeted agent as standard of care). Part 2: to estimate the overall response rate (ORR) for patients with HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer (mBC) and HER2 mutant non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) treated at the RP2D (or MTD).
NCT03125200
This study evaluated ADCT-502 in participants with Advanced Solid Tumors with HER2 Expression. Participants participated in a dose-escalation phase (Part 1) and were due to participate in the dose expansion phase (Part 2). In Part 2, patients were due to receive the dose level identified in Part 1, but the study was terminated prior to the beginning of Part 2.
NCT01973283
The goal of this open-administration treatment study of citalopram (or duloxetine) is to evaluate the effect of antidepressant medication on treating the syndrome of "frailty" in older adults with depressive symptoms. Patients with significant depressive symptoms (defined as CES-D (Center for Epidemiological Studies - Depression scale) \> 10) and 1 or more symptoms of the frailty syndrome (exhaustion, decreased energy, weight loss, decreased grip strength, and slow/unsteady gait) will be evaluated and treated with citalopram (or duloxetine) for 8 weeks to test whether antidepressant medication improves both the syndrome of frailty and depressive symptoms. Patients evaluated at the Adult and Late Life Depression clinic and eligible to participate in the study will be treated with an antidepressant medication and assessed on the primary outcome variables (characteristics of frailty, depressive symptoms) as well as on secondary variables which include cognition (global cognition, episodic memory, executive function), and function (physical mobility, instrumental activities of daily living, and social functioning) prior to treatment initiation and following 8-weeks of treatment. The hypotheses for this protocol predict that we will discover a significant improvement on both frailty characteristics and depressive symptoms in this clinical population when treated with antidepressant medication (citalopram or duloxetine).
NCT02381457
This multi-center prospective observational study is designed to track birth outcomes and perinatal correlates to the Panorama prenatal screening test in the general population among ten thousand women who present clinically and elect Panorama microdeletion and aneuploidy screening as part of their routine care. The primary objective is to evaluate the performance of Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP)-based Non Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT) for 22q11.2 microdeletion (DiGeorge syndrome) in this large cohort of pregnant women. This will be done by performing a review of perinatal medical records and obtaining biospecimens after birth to perform genetic diagnostic testing for 22q11.2 deletion. Results from the follow-up specimens will be compared to those obtained by the Panorama screening test to determine test performance. Specific test performance parameters will include: PPV, specificity, and sensitivity.
NCT01049217
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of pregabalin compared to placebo in reducing neuropathic pain associated with HIV neuropathy.
NCT01145417
This study examines the safety of pregabalin over a 6 month period in patients with neuropathic pain associated with HIV infection as an extension of another trial that tests the efficacy of pregabalin.
NCT03466099
This is a clinical study where patients with diabetes and a vision threatening eye condition called "Diabetic Macular Edema" receive four injections into the eye at monthly intervals. The patients will already have tried the standard of care without complete success. The patients will be randomized to receive either a high dose, a low dose or a sham control treatment. The study will evaluate whether the new treatment improves vision and whether it changes the underlying course of the disease in the eye.
NCT03346070
The purpose of this trial is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of Sugammadex when administered according to actual body weight (ABW) as compared to ideal body weight (IBW) for the reversal of both moderate and deep neuromuscular blockade (NMB) induced by either Rocuronium or Vecuronium in morbidly obese participants. The primary hypothesis of this investigation is that, compared to obese participants dosed based on IBW, obese participants receiving Sugammadex according to ABW will demonstrate a faster time to recovery to a Train Of Four (TOF) ratio of ≥0.9 (i.e. faster NMB reversal), pooled across NMB depth and type of neuromuscular blocking agent (NMBA; Rocuronium or Vecuronium) administered.
NCT00645268
To determine the effect on erectile function in a population of type 2 diabetic men with erectile dysfunction who have undergone the following treatment regimen: pre-treatment with a daily dose of double-blind sildenafil versus placebo for 4 weeks (Phase I) followed by an as-needed, flexible-dose, open-label treatment phase with sildenafil for 12 weeks (Phase II). To assess safety and tolerability of this dosing regimen and to investigate its effects on endothelial function and subject's responses to the Self-Esteem And Relationship (SEAR) questionnaire.
NCT02865915
This is a Phase 2b double-blind, randomized, parallel-group, placebo-controlled study of MLE4901 versus placebo in women with PCOS.
NCT01912456
The aim of this study is to assess the efficacy of C1-esterase inhibitor in preventing hereditary angioedema attacks when it is administered under the skin of subjects with hereditary angioedema. The safety of C1-esterase inhibitor will also be assessed. Each subject will enter a run-in period of up to 8-weeks. Subjects who complete the run-in period and who are eligible will then enter the treatment phase which comprises two sequential treatment periods. In the treatment phase, subjects will be randomized to one of four arms consisting of treatment with low- or higher-volume C1-esterase inhibitor in one treatment period and treatment with low- or higher-volume placebo in the other treatment period. The study will measure the number of hereditary angioedema attacks that subjects experience while receiving each treatment.
NCT00936611
The purpose of this research study is to assess the overall response rate of LBH589 in patients with relapsed or refractory Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia. LBH589 is a newly discovered compound that has killed Waldenstrom cells in laboratory studies, however, it is not known if LBH589 will show the same activity in people with Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia. This drug has been used in research for the treatment of other types of cancer, such as multiple myeloma.
NCT04334551
This is a pilot, open, prospective, non-randomized study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of switches from etravirine to doravirine, in experienced patients with multiple class resistance including NNRTI resistance. The other ARV medication (protease inhibitor, entry inhibitor and integrase inhibitor) that some patients receive, in addition to the NRTI and NNRTI, will not be changed. The study will be performed only on two sites
