NCT00085449
RATIONALE: Giving low doses of chemotherapy, monoclonal antibodies, and radiation therapy before a donor peripheral blood stem cell transplant helps stop the growth of cancer cells. It also stops the patient's immune system from rejecting the donor's stem cells when they do not exactly match the patient's blood. The donated stem cells may replace the patient's immune system and help destroy any remaining cancer cells (graft-versus-tumor effect). Sometimes the transplanted cells from a donor can also make an immune response against the body's normal cells. Giving cyclosporine and mycophenolate mofetil before transplant may stop this from happening. PURPOSE: This phase I/II trial is studying the side effects of alemtuzumab, fludarabine, and melphalan with or without cyclosporine, mycophenolate mofetil, and total-body irradiation before donor peripheral blood stem cell transplant and to see how well they work in treating patients with relapsed or refractory hematologic cancer.
NCT00093145
This trial will treat patients with advanced breast cancer with a new anti-cancer medicine used in combination with two existing anti-cancer medications: Albumin-bound paclitaxel (ABI-007), Carboplatin and Herceptin. Participants will be given the combination therapy on a weekly basis and may continue on therapy as long as their condition improves and drug toxicity is tolerated.
NCT02717195
To evaluate the efficacy of 10 and 20 mg/day of Lu AF35700 on schizophrenia symptoms in patients with treatment-resistant schizophrenia (TRS)
NCT02787304
The purpose of this study is to determine if the investigational treatment volixibat (SHP626) is safe, tolerable and effective in adults with nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH).
NCT00269438
The purpose of this study is to establish the efficacy and safety of a new tablet formulation and dosing regimen of balsalazide disodium dosed twice daily in achieving clinical improvement in subjects with mildly to moderately active ulcerative colitis after 8 weeks of therapy.
NCT01621802
The purpose of this study is to support licensure of GSK Biologicals' MMR vaccine (Priorix®) in the US by generating immunogenicity and safety data in contrast to the US standard of care, Merck's MMR vaccine (M-M-R®II), when given as a second dose to children four to six years of age.
NCT00269412
This is placebo-controlled study of three rifaximin doses in patients with DIBS. Subjects will be randomized to receive daily doses of placebo BID, rifaximin 275 mg BID, rifaximin 550 mg BID, or 1100 mg BID for 14 days. These four groups will subsequently receive an additional two weeks of placebo for a total of 4 weeks of treatment. A fifth group of subjects will receive rifaximin 550 mg BID for a period of 28 days. Subjects who successfully respond to treatment at the end of the 28-day Treatment Phase will be followed in a Post-treatment Phase that includes study visits during Weeks 6, 8, 12 and 16. Subjects who relapse during the Post-treatment Phase will be discontinued from the study.
NCT02394340
This is an open-label, maximal use study to evaluate whether luliconazole in plasma acts as an inhibitor of cytochrome P2C19 (CYP2C19) as measured by circulating levels of omeprazole before and after treatment with a maximum dose of luliconazole cream 1% in participants with moderate to severe tinea pedis and tinea cruris.
NCT01367574
This is a double-blind, randomized, parallel group, dose ranging study of subcutaneous methylnaltrexone to be conducted in patients with advanced medical illness and poorly controlled opioid induced constipation. Patients will be randomized to one of three fixed dose levels of SC MNTX.
NCT01366378
This open-label study assesses the single-dose pharmacokinetics of intravenously-administered MNTX in healthy adult male and female subjects in the absence of, and in the presence of, orally-administered cimetidine.
NCT01367509
This study is evaluating the Pharmacokinetics of MNTX in healthy control subjects and in patients with mild, moderate, or severe renal impairment who do not require hemodialysis.
NCT01367535
This study is a single-center, randomized, open-label, active and placebo-controlled, parallel-group, conducted in healthy male volunteers who have been shown to be extensive metabolizers of dextromethorphan.
NCT00401362
To test the effectiveness of MNTX in advanced illness subjects.
NCT00461526
Clinical Trial with TRN-002 in Women with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) The purpose of this study is to investigate the safety and effectiveness of a new investigational drug in women for the treatment of diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome. The investigational drug is a natural product taken from a plant that grows in South America. The study medication will be administered orally twice a day. Subjects will be not able to remain on certain standard IBS medications (anti-diarrheals) while participating in the study. The total duration of the study is 18 weeks. The study requires five study visits that include physical exams, ECG, blood draws, laboratory studies, and a colon procedure (such as a colonoscopy or flexible sigmoidoscopy if an appropriate procedure has not been performed in the last 5 years.) Participants will be asked to make entries into a touch-tone telephone diary on a daily basis. Participants must meet all of the following criteria: * Females at least 18 years of age * Diagnosis of diarrhea predominant Irritable Bowel Syndrome * Willingness to make daily calls on a touch-tone telephone * Willingness to have an endoscopic and/or radiologic bowel evaluation, if you have not received one in the past 5 years. * Willingness to take an approved method of birth control (if required) Participants CANNOT meet any of the following criteria: * Serious medical or surgical conditions * Colon Cancer, Crohns Disease or Ulcerative Colitis * Pregnant or breast feeding
NCT00394251
The primary objective of this study was to compare the safety of dose-dense ABI-007 (Abraxane) 260 mg/m\^2 or Taxol 175 mg/m\^2 given every 2 weeks following dose-dense Adriamycin plus Cytoxan (AC) chemotherapy. Bevacizumab was administered at 10 mg/kg every 2 weeks throughout chemotherapy, and then at 15 mg/kg every 3 weeks following chemotherapy.
