NCT00693992
This randomized phase III trial studies sunitinib malate to see how well it works when given as maintenance therapy (meaning it is approved for treatment after chemotherapy) in patients with stage IIIB-IV non-small cell lung cancer who have responded to prior treatment with combination chemotherapy. Sunitinib malate may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking the growth of new blood vessels necessary for tumor growth. It is not yet known whether sunitinib malate is effective in helping tumors continue to shrink or stop growing.

Primary outcomes are expected body weight and clinical impairment. Three mechanisms of change (Autonomous Eating, Non-Judgmental Body Awareness, and Extinction Learning) will be examined in a process mediation models of change.
NCT04464980
This is a two phase study investigating combinations of pharmacological and behavioral interventions to optimize the treatment of Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). The Retention Phase will assess strategies for improving retention on buprenorphine (BUP) and extended-release injectable naltrexone (XR-NTX). The Discontinuation Phase will assess which approaches are most likely to lead to long-term success (absence of relapse), and what characteristics of participants distinguish those who can safely discontinue Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) from those who remain at risk of relapse and should not discontinue.
NCT04542161
Chronic fatigue syndrome/myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME/CFS) is an unexplained multisymptom/multisystem disorder for which there are currently no validated treatments. The present exploratory clinical trial aims to advance our understand of the mechanisms of in situ GSH synthesis control through assessment of the response of brain GSH and plasma markers of oxidative stress to different doses of NAC in comparison to placebo, as a potential treatment for ME/CFS that would provide neuroprotection against oxidative stress by restoring cortical GSH reserves. If successful, this exploratory clinical trial would address a significant public health concern by shedding new light onto the mechanisms of action of NAC in brain GSH restoration, which could open a new avenue for the development of potentially effective treatments for a disorder, ME/CFS, that currently has none.
NCT04891510
The purpose of this study is to learn whether there is a superior fat processing method in terms of graft retention in breast reconstruction after mastectomy.
NCT01742299
The purpose of this study is to better characterize the long-term safety of imatinib in patients who are on imatinib treatment in a Novartis-sponsored, Oncology Global Development \& Global Medical Affairs (OGD\&GMA) study and are benefiting from the treatment as judged by the investigator.
NCT07527299
The purpose of this study is to assess how safe VARIPULSE catheter system is for treatment of a heart rhythm disease called persistent atrial fibrillation (PsAF) in participants who are having a catheter ablation procedure (treat heart rhythm disease). This includes isolation of pulmonary vein and superior vena cava (heart veins; PVI and SVCI), with or without another technique called posterior wall isolation (PWI). Also, to assess how safe it is for participants who are having a catheter ablation procedure and at the same time receiving another procedure called left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO; to reduce stroke risk). Additionally, to assess how well VARIPULSE catheter system works over a long period of time for treatment of PsAF in participants undergoing catheter ablation.
NCT06079281
The primary objective of this study is to assess the efficacy of ALXN1850 versus placebo on functional outcomes in adolescent and adult participants with HPP who have not previously been treated with asfotase alfa.
NCT05429632
This is a multi-center, randomized, double-blinded, placebo controlled trial.
NCT06188520
This study is designed to evaluate AZD8421 alone and in combination with selected targeted anti-cancer drugs in patients with ER+HER2- advanced breast cancer, and patients with metastatic high-grade serious ovarian cancer.
NCT06780085
Researchers are looking for new ways to treat metastatic nonsquamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that has been treated before. Metastatic means the cancer has spread to other parts of the body. Nonsquamous means the cancer did not start in squamous cells, which are flat cells that line the inside of the lungs. Standard treatment (usual treatment) for NSCLC is surgery, then immunotherapy with or without chemotherapy after surgery. Immunotherapy is a treatment that helps the immune system fight cancer. Chemotherapy is a medicine that works to destroy cancer cells or stop them from growing. However, standard treatment may not work or may stop working for some people. Researchers want to know if 2 antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) can help treat metastatic nonsquamous NSCLC that did not respond (get smaller or go away) to treatment. An ADC attaches to specific targets on cancers cells and delivers treatment to destroy those cells. Researchers will compare 2 different ADCs (the study treatments) to chemotherapy in this study. The goals of this study are to learn: * About the safety of the study treatments and if people tolerate them * How many people have the cancer respond to the study treatments
NCT07277582
The goal of this clinical trial is to learn whether the study drug THRV-1268 can safely and effectively shorten the QT interval in people diagnosed with Long QT Syndrome Type 2 (LQTS 2). The study will also learn about the safety and tolerability of THRV-1268 at different doses. The main questions this study aims to answer are: Does THRV-1268 reduce the QTc interval (a measure of the heart's electrical recovery time)? What side effects or medical problems occur when participants take THRV-1268? Which dose of THRV-1268 works best and is safest? Participants will: Complete a 3-week observation period with ECG and Holter monitoring to establish baseline QTc measurements Take THRV-1268 tablets twice daily at two dose levels for 6 weeks (Part A) or be randomly assigned to a dose group for 6 weeks (Part B) Have clinic visits and tests to monitor safety and changes in their heart rhythm May continue taking THRV-1268 for up to 1 year for ongoing safety and efficacy evaluation Researchers will compare changes in QTc over time and evaluate side effects to determine whether THRV-1268 can help reduce the risk of abnormal heart rhythms and sudden cardiac events in people with LQTS 2.
NCT07203001
The study is a phase II trial designed to evaluate the clinical efficacy, safety, and tolerability of MAS825 (arumakimig) in pediatric and adult participants with Still's disease
NCT07369076
The purpose of this trial is to learn about the effects of NB-4746 compared with placebo in people with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. The questions this trial aims to answer in comparing NB-4746 to placebo are: * What adverse events associated with taking NB-4746 are reported during this trial? (An adverse event is any sign or symptom that participants have during a trial. Adverse events may or may not be caused by treatments in the trial.) * How does NB-4746 move into, through, and out of the body of the participants? * What is the change in the level of neurofilament light (NfL) in the participants' blood? (NfL is a marker used to measure the extent of damage to the nerve cells.) This trial has 2 parts. The trial doctors will start Part A before starting Part B of the trial. Participants have an option to enter the open label extension after completing Part A or Part B. Part A: Participants will be randomly placed into 1 of the 3 groups. There are equal chances to be assigned to either group. Group 1: Participants will receive NB-4746 capsules at a low dose to take by mouth twice daily for 1 month. Group 2: Participants will receive NB-4746 capsules at a high dose to take by mouth twice daily for 1 month. Group 3: Participants will receive placebo capsules to take twice daily for approximately 1 month. Part B: Participants will be randomly placed into 1 of the 2 groups. There are equal chances to be assigned to either group. Group 1: Participants will receive NB-4746 capsules at a dose determined by Part A to take by mouth twice daily for 12 weeks. Group 2: Participants will receive placebo capsules to take twice daily for approximately 12 weeks. None of the participants, trial doctors, or trial staff will know which treatment the participants will receive during Part A or B. Some trials are done this way because knowing what treatment the participants receive can affect the results of the trial. Doing a trial this way helps to make sure that the results are looked at with fairness across all treatments. Open-Label Extension: Upon the completion of Part A or Part B, the doctor will verify the participant's willingness to continue receiving study treatment. This open label extension continues until each participant completes up to 1 year of treatment. The trial doctors will check participants' ALS and general health throughout the trial.
