NCT03461406
The objective of the study is to evaluate if FS Grifols is non-inferior to EVICEL® in terms of the percentage of participants achieving hemostasis at the target bleeding site (TBS) by 4 minutes (T4) from the start of treatment application (TStart) with no occurrence of rebleeding until the completion of the surgical closure by layers of the exposed surgical field containing the TBS (TClosure).
NCT03270098
People with schizophrenia display a broad range of cognitive impairments that have been identified as major determinants of poor functioning and disability. Also, people with schizophrenia are at increased risk for suicide, with approximately 40-50% of individuals attempting to take their own lives during their lifetime. The goal of the proposed study is to examine the impact of remote exercise training on cognition, suicide risk, daily functioning, and biomarkers of cognitive change and suicidality in people with schizophrenia.
NCT04928222
Part I is designed as a study of P-MNA application in healthy human volunteers. The goal of Part I is to determine several factors possibly affecting the rate and extent of microneedle array dissolution, such as anatomic location; age; duration of array exposure to the skin; and the criticality of proper array application to the skin. Part II will be a randomized study in which doxorubicin-containing arrays will be applied to subjects demonstrated by biopsy to have basal cell cancer. A subject will be randomized to one of four dose groups: placebo microneedle array and 50 µg, 100 µg, and 200 µg doses of doxorubicin in a tip-loaded, dissolvable microneedle arrays (D-MNA).
NCT03618953
This is a Phase 1/1b open-label dose escalation trial of Ad/MG1-E6E7 and sequential treatment with atezolizumab in patients with HPV associated cancers. This study will consist of two arms. Both arms will dose escalate (MG1-E6E7) using a 3 + 3 design in Phase 1 to establish initial safety and the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) / maximum feasible dose (MFD). * Arm 1 - intravenous (IV) administration of MG1-E6E7 following intramuscular (IM) AD-E6E7 priming and subsequent treatment with IV atezolizumab. * Arm 2 - intratumoral (IT) and IV injection of MG1-E6E7 following (IM) Ad-E6E7 priming and subsequent treatment with IV atezolizumab. In the Phase 1b expansion for each arm, additional patients will be enrolled at the MTD as determined in Phase 1 in order to more thoroughly explore immune response, pharmacokinetics/dynamics, and safety for the patient populations with Cervical cancer, HPV positive (HPV+) Oropharyngeal cancer (Phase 1B, Arm 1, Cohorts A and B respectively) and HPV+ tumors with injectable lesions (Phase 1B, Arm 2, Cohort 3).
NCT05265741
The purpose of the trial is to discover and predict the development of GDM of pregnant women in their first trimester.
NCT03515044
Study to Assess the Efficacy and Safety of Rifaximin Soluble Solid Dispersion (SSD) Tablets Plus Lactulose for the Treatment of Overt Hepatic Encephalopathy (OHE).
NCT05222880
This is a single-masked, single-arm, dispensing clinical trial that will evaluate vision, eye health and fit acceptance.
NCT04810481
The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between BIS™ values including EEG profile and anesthetic agents in the pediatric population
NCT02858050
The study will look at real-time adherence monitoring with Portal-724 MEMS cap. It integrates medication bottle, Smart Cap, Pill Dispenser, Embedded Computer, Embedded Cellular Modem and Tamper Proof apparatus. This device is capable of transmitting pill dispensing events from the patient's home to the Cloud over Cellular and IP networks. The transmission is done in real time if cellular coverage is above 1-bar, but if the cell signal is not available or if the signal is below the threshold, then the device Store-and-Forward feature is automatically activated. The patient will be randomized to real-time monitoring or to have monitoring data download monthly at each study visit while taking hepatitis C medications
NCT01033812
This pilot study is a sub-study of ATN 067. ATN 067 utilizes a cross-sectional research design to recruit Latina and African American young women to undergo HIV screening. The primary goal of this proposed pilot study, ATN 084, is to explore the feasibility and acceptability of index female recruiters identifying and recruiting their past and present male sexual partners to undergo HIV screening and complete a one-time ACASI interview. In addition, the study will also include female friendship network members who were enrolled in ATN 067 and were diagnosed with HIV. These young women will also be asked to recruit their past and present male sex partners to undergo HIV screening.
NCT03745820
The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the efficacy of BIIB104 in participants with CIAS, using the Working Memory Domain of the MATRICS Consensus Cognitive Battery (MCCB). The secondary objectives of this study are to evaluate the safety and tolerability of BIIB104 in participants with CIAS, and to evaluate the efficacy of BIIB104 in participants with CIAS on measures of cognition, functioning, and psychiatric symptomology.
NCT04671186
The goal of this study is to evaluate the role of probiotics in the treatment of pediatric NAFLD by evaluating for steatosis and fibrosis with a Fibroscan machine. This will be done by performing a fibroscan during each visit and comparing patients' ALT at various intervals. This is an important study as current pediatric guidelines only recommend lifestyle modifications for the treatment of NAFLD and the use of ALT and sonogram to assess improvement as standard of care. Investigators hypothesized that treatment with a probiotic will demonstrate an improvement in NAFLD as assessed by a fibroscan of liver which is good for the monitoring of steatosis and fibrosis. Additionally, analysis of fecal microbiome results may offer insight into targeted therapy in the future.
NCT04863248
This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, global, multicenter, Phase 2 trial evaluating the effect of trilaciclib on overall survival when administered prior to docetaxel in patients with metastatic NSCLC treated in the 2nd or 3rd line setting.
NCT01779375
The RISE Pediatric Medication Study is a 2-arm, 4-center, clinical trial of children with prediabetes and early type 2 diabetes to address the hypothesis that aggressive glucose lowering will lead to recovery of beta-cell function that will be sustained after withdrawal of treatment. Pediatric participants (ages 10-19) will be randomized to one of the following treatment regimens: (1) metformin alone or (2) early intensive treatment with basal insulin glargine followed by metformin. The primary clinical question RISE will address is: Are improvements in ß-cell function following 12 months of active treatment maintained for 3 months following the withdrawal of therapy? Secondary outcomes will assess durability of glucose tolerance following withdrawal of therapy, and whether biomarkers obtained in the fasting state predict parameters of ß-cell function, insulin sensitivity and glucose tolerance and the response to an intervention.
NCT03355755
