NCT02488967
This randomized phase III trial studies how well doxorubicin hydrochloride and cyclophosphamide followed by paclitaxel with or without carboplatin work in treating patients with triple-negative breast cancer. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as doxorubicin hydrochloride, cyclophosphamide, paclitaxel, and carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. It is not yet known whether doxorubicin hydrochloride and cyclophosphamide is more effective when followed by paclitaxel alone or paclitaxel and carboplatin in treating triple-negative breast cancer.
NCT05103358
A Phase 2 multi-center open-label basket trial of nab-sirolimus for adult and adolescent patients with malignant solid tumors harboring pathogenic inactivating alterations in TSC1 or TSC2 genes
NCT03900923
This is a 6-week open trial to identify the optimal dosing of cannabidiol (CBD) in youth with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and to identify primary and secondary outcomes for future controlled studies. This study evaluates change in symptoms commonly associated with ASD, as evidence suggests that CBD may be effective in addressing difficulties such as irritability and anxiety, while maintaining a benign adverse effect (AE) profile in children and adolescents. 30 male and female participants with ASD between the ages of 7 and 17 years old are being recruited. Participants have fluent speech and an estimated IQ greater than or equal to 80. Study intervention is 98% pure CBD. The CBD is Greenwich Biosciences, Inc.'s 100mg/mL oral solution, brand name EPIDIOLEX. First, a Bayesian optimal interval (BOIN) design was used, such that participants were assigned to cohorts of size 3 receiving doses of 3, 6, or 9 mg/kg/day, depending on the treatment response of participants in prior cohorts. The BOIN design ended after the fifth cohort of participants, and the two lower doses, 3 and 6 mg/kg/day, were eliminated. The highest dose, 9 mg/kg/day, was not tested. Therefore, in subsequent cohorts, we will be examining 9 mg/kg/day exclusively in up to 15 additional participants with co-occurring ASD and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) diagnoses, as this clinical profile appears to most closely resemble youth classified as responders within the BOIN design.
NCT05408858
This study will adapt LGBTQ-affirmative cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) - previously only used with adults - for youth aged 12-17 years. This intervention addresses the pathways through which minority stress compromises lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) young peoples' mental health. The purpose of this study is to determine if the intervention is acceptable and feasible for LGBTQ youth.
NCT04063241
The overarching goal of this work is to identify strategies to reduce preventable pediatric post-hospitalization morbidity. In this study, investigators seek to address gaps in the knowledge base related to pediatric post-hospitalization morbidity by examining the understanding and execution of post-hospitalization discharge instructions in the context of low health literacy (HL).
NCT01812447
EMPROVE is a multicenter, prospective, randomized, controlled study designed to evaluate the safety and long-term effectiveness of the Spiration Valve System in patients with emphysema. Patients appropriate for the EMPROVE study are those who are currently on medical treatment but still symptomatic. EMPROVE also accepts α-1 antitrypsin deficiency patients.
NCT04688099
This is an observational study of the relationship between perioperative sleep time/quality, synovial fluid cytokine profiles, and clinical outcomes of primary ACL reconstruction with BPTB autograft in 50 subjects. Sleep during the week before and month after surgery will be assessed using Fitbit smartwatch and sleep diary. Synovial fluid sampled preoperatively, intraoperatively, and postoperatively will be analyzed for levels of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines. Postoperative knee pain and function will be assessed until 2 years post-op using validated questionnaires.
NCT04258839
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the long-term safety and tolerability of brexpiprazole in children and adolescent participants, aged 5 to 17, with irritability associated with autism spectrum disorder.
NCT04271332
This Phase 2 study examines the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of arbaclofen in pediatric subjects with 16p11.2 deletion. Male or female subjects aged 5 to 17 years of age will be randomized to receive either placebo or arbaclofen in a double-blind study design. If the subject completes all study requirements through Visit 4 (Close-out Visit), he/she may be eligible for an optional open-label study with arbaclofen.
NCT03721172
This is a Phase 3, multicenter, randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind study designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of apremilast (CC-10004) in subjects with mild to moderate plaque psoriasis. Approximately 574 subjects with mild to moderate plaque psoriasis will be randomized 1:1 to receive either apremilast 30 mg BID or placebo for the first 16 weeks.
NCT05417113
This study is to determine whether or not the addition of liposomal bupivacaine in an ESP block will have long term benefits for patients undergoing lumbar spinal fusion surgery. Given previous studies found long term benefits from liposomal bupivacaine, the hypothesis is that patients will have decreased opioid usage and improved pain scores when compared to a standard ESP block with plain 0.25% bupivacaine.
NCT04542070
This study is designed to assess the antiviral activity and safety of a two-drug regimen of CAB LA + RPV LA compared with maintenance of BIK. BIKTARVY is a registered trademark of Gilead Sciences.
NCT03040778
The overall purpose of this project is to answer the following clinical question: Among Medication-Related Osteonecrosis of the Jaw (MRONJ) patients, do those who are treated with the Pentoxifylline and Tocopherol (PENTO) regimen and standard of care, when compared to those treated with standard of care alone, have decreased areas of exposed bone after one year of treatment?
NCT06440473
The goal of this study is to visualize the deposition of topical 0.3% roflumilast (Zoryve) compared to vehicle using Line-Field Optical Coherence Tomography (LC-OCT) in vivo in healthy skin. We hypothesize that the application of topical 0.3% roflumilast (Zoryve) will result in distinct patterns of deposition within the epidermal and dermal layers compared to the vehicle. Specifically, we anticipate observing deeper penetration and more uniform distribution of roflumilast within the skin layers, indicative of enhanced efficacy, as visualized by LC-OCT imaging.
NCT04197596
BK cytotoxic T cells (CTLs) manufactured with the Miltenyi CliniMACS Prodigy Cytokine Capture System will be safe and effective in decreasing specific viral load in children, adolescents and young adults (CAYA) with refractory BK infection post Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (AlloHSCT) or with primary immunodeficiencies (PID).

NCT04411472
Clinical phase 3 study to investigate the effect of recAP on 28 day mortality in patients admitted to the ICU with acute kidney injury that is caused by sepsis. The study has three distinct SA-AKI trial populations: 1. The main trial population: Patients with a pre-AKI reference eGFR ≥45 mL/min/1.73 m2 and no proven or suspected SARS-CoV-2 at time of randomization. 2. A 'moderate' CKD population: Patients with a pre-AKI reference eGFR ≥25 and \<45 mL/min/1.73 m2 and no proven or suspected SARS-CoV-2 at time of randomization. 3. A Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) population: Patients with proven or suspected SARS-CoV-2 at time of randomization with or without 'moderate' CKD. For patients in this population, COVID-19 should be the main cause of SA-AKI. In the main study population approximately 1400 patients will be enrolled and in the two cohorts with moderate CKD and COVID-19 each up to 100 patients. There are two arms in the study, one with active treatment and one with an inactive compound (placebo). Treatment is by 1 hour intravenous infusion, for three days. Patients are followed up for 28 days to see if there is an improvement on mortality, and followed for 90 and 180 days for mortality and other outcomes e.g. long-term kidney function and quality of life.
