NCT03289780
The purpose of this study is to collect information about how a doctor uses the results of the VeriStrat® blood test to guide treatment for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. Understanding how VeriStrat test results influence doctors' decisions and patients' outcomes may help doctors to better treat NSCLC in the future. This study will also look to establish whether new investigational tests can help better predict the effectiveness of certain medications for certain patients. These new investigational tests are only for research purposes at this time.
NCT07183085
The purpose of this study is to create a research repository, composed of data collected over the course of digital care programs for mental health distress delivered by Sword Mind to individuals. This will allow the investigators to observe the acceptance, engagement, and outcomes of programs using this approach in the treatment of multiple mental health concerns.
NCT06930716
Prolonged disorders of consciousness (pDOC) are defined as DOC lasting \>1 year post injury for patients with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and \>3 months post injury for patients with non-TBI and at present there are limited treatments that reliably lead to enhanced prognosis. The rehabilitation process throughout the continuum of care for patients with pDOC necessitates restorative strategies to facilitate arousal and functional recovery and coordinated medical management. Rehabilitation interventions for patients with DOC and pDOC have evolved in the past decade, with an emerging body of evidence highlighting the benefits of rehabilitation intervention even in the acute. While there is data to support the individual utility of these modalities, no work to date has investigated the benefits of pairing transauricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS) and robotic tilt table mobilization (RTTM) to maximize functional recovery in patients with pDOC. This study will report on the safety, feasibility, and preliminary short- and long-term outcomes of RTTM with simultaneously paired Transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS) for Severe Acquired Brain Injury (SABI) patients with pDOC . Fifteen (15) participants will be recruited and complete a 12-week rehabilitation protocol using paired taVNS and RTTM. Once participants have been screened and enrolled in the study, they will complete three study phases: T1: a baseline observation of standard of care T2, intervention, and T3 longitudinal follow up.
NCT05814549
The researchers think that a blood test (NavDx®) may be able to identify cancer early by looking for circulating DNA from Human Papillomavirus/HPV. Circulating DNA are small pieces of genes that are released into the bloodstream. The purpose of this study is to find out whether using this blood test to test for HPV DNA will help detect HPV-related Oropharyngeal Cancer/OPC.
NCT07182357
This study will test a care management intervention to guide end-of-life care and hospice transitions for persons with dementia and their care partners receiving home healthcare and ascertain feasibility, acceptability, fidelity, and usability of a dementia care management hospice transitions checklist. This study will also examine hospice enrollment, time to enrollment, and care partner satisfaction with the intervention. The intervention will be delivered within usual care management within a large home healthcare agency.
NCT05990179
The goal of this study is to learn how genomic sequencing technology can be used to effectively expand the conditions screened on newborn screening. Newborn screening ensures equity and allows all babies to have the same chance at the healthiest life. Families will be invited to have their newborn baby screened for additional conditions beyond what all babies are screened for as part of the newborn screening public health program. Families can choose to be part of the study or choose not to be part of the study and just have the routine newborn screening test. Families will also be able to choose to learn about their baby's risk for conditions that have effective treatments available but are not on the routine newborn screening panel or also learn about conditions for which there is not currently FDA approved medications but for which medications are under development or for which early intervention services or treatment of seizures may improve the child's outcome. Families will be invited to the study shortly after the baby is born and will learn the decision not to participate, and we will interview a subset of parents who agree to be interviewed. Newborns who screen positive will be referred to appropriate providers for care and will be followed through review of electronic medical records and parental follow up via phone, text, postal mail or email.
NCT04171492
This study evaluates the how addition of the Nodify XL2 test result impacts the clinical management of newly identified solid lung nodules assessed as low to moderate risk of cancer.
NCT06668324
The study aims to compare the experiences, including injection-related reactions (IRRs) of patients newly receiving ofatumumab to those starting to receive ocrelizumab SC formulation
NCT05703425
The goal of this randomized clinical trial is to assess sulfasalazine as a potential treatment to prevent recurrent preterm birth. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Does sulfasalazine down regulate corticotropin releasing hormone (CRH) levels in pregnant persons with a prior history of preterm birth? * Does sulfasalazine reduce the incidence of recurrent preterm birth in pregnant persons given drug vs. controls? Consenting participants will be randomized to receive sulfasalazine or to a control group and will undergo serial blood draws to assess plasma CRH levels.
NCT03339128
The primary objectives of this study are to explore the therapeutic effect of eluxadoline in treating irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea (IBS-D) in pediatric participants 6-17 years of age, to evaluate the pharmacokinetics of eluxadoline in pediatric participants with IBS-D, and to evaluate the safety and tolerability of eluxadoline in pediatric participants with IBS-D. Enrollment of 12-17 years old age group is closed, enrollment of the 6-11 years old age group will continue.
NCT00371033
The purpose of this study is to determine whether pregabalin is an effective treatment for Chronic Prostatitis/Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome.
NCT05865054
The research study is being conducted to determine the utility of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in identifying inflammation of arteries supplying blood to the head, brain, and eyes. The target population includes patient with suspected giant cell arteritis (GCA; temporal arteritis).
NCT03971071
Study 20170703 is a phase 4, randomized, double-blind, parallel-group, placebo-controlled study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of erenumab against placebo in participants with chronic migraine (CM) who have a history of at least 1 preventive treatment failure and are diagnosed with medication overuse headache (MOH).
NCT04787627
Prospective two group cross over investigation, comparing the investigational device (Power Knee, a powered microprocessor controlled prosthetic knee) and subjects prescribed microprocessor prosthetic knee (MPK). The primary objective was to evaluate the efficacy of the investigational device in reducing exertion during walking compared to passive MPKs. Additionally to evaluate the efficacy of the investigational device in the short and long term compared to passive MPKs and previous versions of the Power Knee, during daily living activities i.e. walking on level ground, in stairs and inclines, rising from and sitting down to a chair as well as performance of gait functions and ease of set up for average to highly active transfemoral/knee disarticulation amputees and Certified Prosthetists/Orthotists (CPOs).
