NCT00047125
RATIONALE: Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Giving radiation therapy in different ways may kill more tumor cells. It is not yet known which regimen of radiation therapy is more effective in treating patients who have metastases to the lymph nodes in the neck. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to compare different radiation therapy regimens in treating patients who have metastases to the lymph nodes in the neck from an unknown primary tumor.
NCT01563536
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and antiviral activity of multiple, ascending doses of ABT-267 (also known as ombitasvir) administered as two-day monotherapy followed by ABT-267 in combination therapy with other direct-acting antiviral agents (DAAs) ABT-450 with ritonavir (ABT-450/r) and ABT-333 (also known as dasabuvir) plus ribavirin (RBV) in patients with chronic Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection without cirrhosis.
NCT01459679
The objectives of this study are to evaluate and compare the safety and efficacy of three treatment regimens for corneal collagen cross-linking performed with VibeX (riboflavin ophthalmic solution) and the KXL System in impeding the progression of, and/or reducing maximum corneal curvature.
NCT00078338
The primary objective of the study is to assess the clinical efficacy of Rebif® 44 microgram (mcg) three times per week compared with Copaxone® 20 milligram (mg) daily in subjects with relapsing Multiple Sclerosis.
NCT00855335
The purpose of this study is to study how changes in the body during pregnancy influence the blood levels of TMC114 (darunavir) and ritonavir taken together, darunavir and cobicistat taken as a fixed-dose combination, TMC125 (etravirine) taken alone or with darunavir and ritonavir or rilpivirine in patients with human immunodeficiency virus-1 (HIV-1). This study will examine how these drugs are absorbed in the body, how they are distributed within the body and how they are removed from the body over time. Any pregnant woman who is currently receiving darunavir with ritonavir, darunavir with cobicistat, etravirine or rilpivirine for HIV-1, and who meets the eligibility criteria for the study, will be allowed to enroll. Patients must be willing to remain on study medication during the course of their pregnancy, and 12 weeks postpartum. The information collected may help answer questions about how to best prescribe these three drugs for pregnant women.
NCT02670577
The scope of this study is to measure the impact of MammaPrint on treatment in Hormone Receptor (HR)-positive HER2-negative breast cancer patients. In addition, the impact of MammaPrint on treatment in patients with T1a/T1b and pN0/pN1 (up to 1 node), Triple Negative or HER2-positive tumors will be assessed.
NCT00565266
Typically, people with asthma are initially prescribed a low dose of inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) medication to control asthma symptoms. If a low dose of ICS is ineffective at controlling symptoms, the addition of a second controller medication is recommended. This study will examine the effectiveness of the medication tiotropium bromide combined with a low dose of ICS at maintaining asthma control in people with moderately severe asthma.
NCT01880320
The study hypothesis are based on the assumption that : * CD0271 0.3%/CD1579 2.5% Gel provides superior clinical efficacy compared with Topical Gel Vehicle in the overall population and in the subgroup of severe Subjects * CD0271 0.3%/CD1579 2.5% Gel applied once daily for up to 12 weeks has an acceptable safety and tolerability profile
NCT00006025
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase I/II trial to study the effectiveness of temozolomide plus irinotecan in treating patients who have recurrent malignant glioma.
NCT02356614
This is a post-approval, multicenter, prospective, non-randomized, open-label, clinical study to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the LAP-BAND® AP System in a lower obese population (BMI ≥ 30 kg/m2 and \< 40 kg/m2) with one or more obesity-related comorbidity up to 10 years after implantation. The reason your study has been terminated is based on the availability of long-term safety and effectiveness data from the OSB Lead-HERo-002 study and published literature.
NCT00025675
RATIONALE: Biological therapies such as gefitinib may interfere with the growth of tumor cells and slow the growth of CNS tumors. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of gefitinib in treating patients who have recurrent or progressive CNS tumors.
NCT01818388
A multicenter prospective single arm interventional trial in hospitals where therapeutic hypothermia is standard practice. This trial will enroll 50 subjects to evaluate the ability of the ZOLL Intravascular Temperature Management (IVTM) System to induce, maintain, and reverse mild therapeutic hypothermia and maintain normothermia post cardiac arrest.
NCT00659360
This phase II trial is studying how well AZD0530 works in treating patients with recurrent locally advanced, or metastatic soft tissue sarcoma. AZD0530 may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
NCT00253669
RATIONALE: Patients with gliomas may be at risk for developing blood clots. Learning about the risk factors for developing blood clots may help doctors plan better treatment for gliomas. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying risk factors for developing blood clots in patients who are undergoing cancer treatment for newly diagnosed gliomas.
NCT00546078
Infection with human papillomavirus (HPV) has been clearly established as the central cause of cervical cancer. This study will further evaluate induction of immune memory and anamnestic responses in women who previously took part in the primary study (580299/001) and follow-up study (580299/007). Subjects were aged 15-25 yrs at the time of entry into the primary study and participation in the follow-up study lasted approximately 6 years. In the primary and follow-up studies, subjects were protected against HPV-16 and HPV-18 endpoints and had sustained antibody responses to both vaccine types over at least 5.5 years of follow-up. All subjects from North American study sites that completed the follow-up study will be invited to take part in the current study. The study will evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of a dose of GSK Biologicals HPV vaccine (580299) in women who had been immunologically primed in the primary study. The Protocol Posting has been updated in order to comply with the FDA Amendment Act, Sep 2007.
