The goals of the TAOS study is to determine the best procedures for below the knee amputations. There are two different procedures currently used by surgeons around the county: the Erlt procedure and the Burgess procedure. Proponents of the Ertl procedure advocate that the surgical formation of a tibia to fibula bone bridge provides stability, shape and weight bearing capability to the residual limb that result in less pain and better prosthetic fit and alignment. This procedure is popular especially among the military but it's advantages over the Burgess procedure are not well supported by current research. This study aims to compare the two amputation procedures in an adequately powered randomized trial.

The goal of this clinical trial is to test in moderately symptomatic chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH) patients if middle meningeal artery embolization (MMAE) can be used as an alternative to conventional open surgery. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Compared to open conventional surgery, does MMAE reduce the need for rescue surgery or deaths? * What is the safety of MMAE and conventional open surgery in these patients? Participants will be asked to: * Share their medical history and undergo physical examinations * Have blood drawn * Have CT scans of the head * Answer questionnaires * Undergo MMAE or conventional open surgery * Provide information about possible adverse events Researchers will compare participants in the MMAE group with those in the conventional open surgery group to see if there is a reduced need for rescue surgery or deaths and evaluate safety.

This is a phase 1 study designed to evaluate the safety, pharmacokinetics (PK), and anti-B-cell activity of FT819 following treatment with or without auxiliary medicinal product (AMP) in participants with moderate-to-severe active systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) with or without nephritis, antineutrophilic cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)-associated vasculitis (AAV), idiopathic inflammatory myositis (IIM), and systemic sclerosis (SSc). The study will consist of a dose-escalation stage, followed by an expansion stage to further evaluate the safety and activity of FT819.

The study compares 2 medicines for children who do not have enough hormone to grow: somapacitan given once a week (a new medicine) and Norditropin® given once a day (the medicine doctors can already prescribe). Researchers will test to see how well somapacitan works. The study will also test if somapacitan is safe. Participants will either get somapacitan or Norditropin® - which treatment participants get, is decided by chance. Both participants and the study doctor will know which treatment participants get. The study will last for 4 years. Participants will attend 19 clinic visits and have 1 phone call with the study doctor.

This study will test whether managing the hours during which people eat, called time restricted eating, might help them to lose weight. For this study, one parent and a child will enroll as a group (called a dyad). The dyads will be assigned at random to practice time restricted eating (within 10-12 hours per day) but will be able to eat whatever they would like or to limit portion size and increase fruit, vegetable and lean protein intake and limit sugar sweetened beverages and undergo . Both groups will receive dietary counseling, Bluetooth toothbrushes and scales to help monitor their progress. The study will last for 12 weeks and will have one survey four weeks after the last in person visit. There will be 2 in person visits, 7 virtual visits, 2 phone visits and daily time logs.

The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate the efficacy, safety and pharmacokinetics of elamipretide in subjects with dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD). The main questions it aims to answer are: what is the rate of change in the macular area of photoreceptor loss in subjects who receive a daily dose of elamipretide compared with those who receive a look-alike substance that contains no active drug, and what is the safety and tolerability of elamipretide daily subcutaneous injections. Participants will receive either once daily subcutaneous doses of 40mg elamipretide or placebo and the two treatment groups will be compared.

This randomized phase II/III trial studies how well whole-brain radiation therapy works and compares it with or without hippocampal avoidance in treating patients with small cell lung cancer that is found in one lung, the tissues between the lungs, and nearby lymph nodes only (limited stage) or has spread outside of the lung in which it began or to other parts of the body (extensive stage). Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. The hippocampus is part of the brain that is important for memory. Avoiding the hippocampus during whole-brain radiation could decrease the chance of side effects on memory and thinking. It is not yet known whether giving whole-brain radiation therapy is more effective with or without hippocampal avoidance in treating patients with small cell lung cancer.

This study is trying to find the right dose of a long-lasting medicine called GSK5784283 for people with asthma that remains uncontrolled even though they are using regular asthma treatments. GSK5784283 blocks the action of an inflammatory protein called TSLP that may be contributing to your asthma.
