NCT00214994
A 12-Month, Open-Label, Flexible-Dosage Study to Evaluate the Safety and Efficacy of GABITRIL Treatment in Adults with Generalized Anxiety Disorder.
NCT00228540
An 8-week, Open-Label Study to Characterize the Response to Modafinil (85mg Film-Coated Tablet) Treatment at Dosages up to 425mg/Day in Children and Adolescents with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) (With an Open-Ended Extension Period)
NCT01042678
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and tolerability of MP0112 (a novel, potentially long acting VEGF inhibitor) in patients with diabetic retinal edema.
NCT00566449
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of JNJ-31001074 compared to placebo in adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
NCT00057941
This randomized phase II trial is studying how well giving gefitinib together with anastrozole works compared to giving gefitinib together with fulvestrant in treating postmenopausal women with recurrent or metastatic breast cancer. Estrogen can stimulate the growth of breast cancer cells. Hormone therapy using anastrozole and fulvestrant may fight breast cancer by blocking the use of estrogen. Gefitinib (ZD1839) may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking the enzymes necessary for their growth. It is not yet known whether gefitinib is more effective when combined with anastrozole or fulvestrant in treating breast cancer.
NCT00087139
Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as ixabepilone, work in different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. This phase II trial is studying how well ixabepilone works in treating patients with metastatic prostate cancer that has not responded to previous hormone therapy.
NCT00139841
SUMMARY: This is a multi-center open label study to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of Treanda™ (also known as bendamustine HCl or SDX-105) in patients who have indolent Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and have relapsed within a defined timeframe after taking rituximab (Rituxan®). Treanda will be given via 60-minute intravenous infusion on days 1 and 2 of every 21-day treatment cycle. Patients will be treated for 6 cycles unless they develop progressive disease or unacceptable toxicity. Those who continue to receive clinical benefit at end of 6 cycles may receive an additional 2 cycles. Following the end of treatment, patients will be followed for up to 2 years until disease progression or start of another anti-cancer therapy.
NCT00343733
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of OraVescent fentanyl treatment compared to placebo treatment monthly over a 12-week treatment period in alleviating breakthrough pain (BTP) in opioid-tolerant patients with noncancer-related chronic pain.
NCT00069758
Summary: As this is an open label study, all patients will receive SDX-105 by 30-60 minute intravenous infusion on day 1 and day 2. Treatment will repeat every 21 days. Treatment can continue for up to one year in the absence of disease progression or unacceptable toxicity. Patients will be followed until disease progression. Rationale: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as SDX-105, use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Purpose: This study will evaluate the effectiveness and safety in non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in patients who are refractory to Rituxan.
NCT01222286
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the anti-tumor activity, safety and pharmacology of two dose regimens (0.2 and 2 mg/kg)of IPH2101 in patients with Smoldering Multiple Myeloma.
NCT00484315
The purpose of the TAXUS PERSEUS Workhorse trial is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the next-generation Boston Scientific TAXUS paclitaxel-eluting coronary stent system (TAXUS® ElementTM) for the treatment of de novo atherosclerotic lesions of up to 28 mm in length in native coronary arteries of 2.75 mm to 4.0 mm diameter.
NCT01641640
This study was to assess whether sofosbuvir in combination with ribavirin (RBV) and pegylated interferon alfa 2a (PEG) administered for 12 weeks is safe and effective in patients with hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotypes 1, 4, 5 , or 6 as assessed by the rate of sustained viral response (SVR) 12 weeks after discontinuation of therapy (SVR12).
NCT01084239
The growing availability of cardiac computed tomography (CT)\* in emergency departments (EDs) across the U.S. expands the opportunities for its clinical application, but also heightens the need to define its appropriate use in the evaluation of patients with acute chest pain. To address this need, we performed a randomized diagnostic trial (RDT) to determine whether integrating cardiac CT, along with the information it provides on coronary artery disease (CAD) and left ventricular (LV) function, can improve the efficiency of the management of these patients (i.e. shorten length of hospital stay, increase direct discharge rates from the ED, decreasing healthcare costs and improving cost effectiveness while being safe).
NCT00579501
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of trabectedin for the treatment of localized (non-metastatic) myxoid / round cell liposarcoma (malignant tumor derived from primitive or embryonal lipoblastic cells).
NCT00107848
The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of treatment with PROVIGIL in children and adolescents with excessive sleepiness (ES) associated with narcolepsy or OSAHS (obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea), when administered for up to 12 months. Safety and tolerability will be evaluated throughout the study by means of adverse event information, clinical laboratory test results, vital signs measurements, and body weight and height measurements; quarterly physical examination findings; and 12 lead electrocardiograph (ECG) evaluations at the end of the study. In addition, the cognitive and behavioral effects of PROVIGIL will be assessed quarterly as measured by the Child Behavior Checklist for Ages 6-18 (CBCL/6-18), a brief psychiatric interview, and the Kaufman Brief Intelligence Test (KBIT 2).
NCT00367029
Individuals who are not physically active are at risk for developing heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. Using motivational print materials is one way to encourage individuals to increase their physical activity. This study will evaluate the effect that an enhanced version of an individualized, print-based motivational program has on increasing physical activity among sedentary individuals.
NCT01688947
The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the analgesic efficacy of 2 dose levels of V116517 versus placebo.
NCT01563978
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of fostamatinib compared to placebo on ambulatory blood pressure in patients with active rheumatoid arthritis who are taking a disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug (DMARD). The study will last for 57 days.
NCT00535132
The purpose of this study is to evaluate medication satisfaction after at least 4 weeks of paliperidone ER (extended-release), an antipsychotic, treatment in patients with schizophrenia who were previously taking either 4 or 6 mg of risperidone daily by mouth, but who are not satisfied with their treatment.
NCT00412373
The purpose of this study is to measure the effectiveness and assess the safety of different dosages (from 3 mg/day to 12 mg/day) of the antipsychotic paliperidone extended-release (ER) in patients who are experiencing an acute episode of schizoaffective disorder.
