This was a Phase 3, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled study conducted in the United States. Subjects with a diagnosis of Dupuytren's contracture in a metacarpophalangeal (MP) or proximal interphalangeal (PIP) joint that resulted in a fixed flexion deformity of at least one finger, other than the thumb, that was at least 20° as measured by finger goniometry and was suitable for injection were randomized 2:1 to receive AA4500 0.58 mg or placebo. This study was designed to be part of the larger clinical program, for adult patients with Dupuytren's contracture with a palpable cord, where the data from 2 pivotal Placebo-Controlled studies (AUX-CC-857 (NCT00528606) and AUX-CC-859 (NCT00533273)) and 7 non-pivotal studies were evaluated.

The investigators propose to study and compare measures of brain energy metabolism in geriatric bipolar individuals and healthy older adults. The investigators would also like to investigate changes in brain energy metabolites associated with CoQ10 administration in older bipolar individuals. Finally, resting state functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) will be conducted in order to explore frontal and limbic circuitry in geriatric bipolar disorder. * Primary Hypothesis: Baseline beta NTP and NAA will be lower, and PCr and lactate higher in Geri BPD compared with older healthy controls * Secondary Hypothesis: Changes in PCr and beta NTP will be demonstrated in Geri BD group challenged with CoQ 10.

Growing evidence over recent years supports a potential role for low grade chronic inflammation in the pathogenesis of insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. In this study we will determine whether salsalate, a member of the commonly used Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) class, is effective in lowering sugars in patients with type 2 diabetes. The study will determine whether salicylates represent a new pharmacological option for diabetes management. The study is conducted in two stages. Enrollment in the first stage is complete. The primary objective of the first stage was to select a dose of salsalate that is both well-tolerated and demonstrates a trend toward improvement in glycemic control. The primary objective of Stage 2 of the study is to evaluate the effects of salsalate on blood sugar control in diabetes; the tolerability of salsalate use in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D); and the effects of salsalate on measures of inflammation, the metabolic syndrome, and cardiac risk.

This study is a randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled trial designed to confirm the symptomatic effects of camicinal treatment vs. placebo, on gastroparesis symptoms in type 1 and 2 diabetic subjects with gastroparesis. The primary purpose of this study is to determine if a low-dose of camicinal (25 milligram\[mg\]) for 12 weeks of repeat administration improves gastroparesis symptoms as measured by the Gastrointestinal Cardinal Symptom Index - Daily Diary (GCSI-DD) in approximately 120 subjects with type 1 or 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) who have documented abnormally slow gastric emptying and have symptoms consistent with gastroparesis. Subjects will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to receive either camicinal or placebo. The study will consist of a screening/baseline period of up to 35 days, a 12 week treatment period, a 2-week post-treatment assessment of symptoms and a 14 day (+/- 2 days) post treatment safety follow-up visit.

In this research study, the investigators are studying whether a reduced dose of radiation when given with standard doses of chemotherapy can reduce side effects without compromising control of the cancer. An approved treatment for squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck is initial chemotherapy followed by radiation and chemotherapy together. This treatment is effective but has many immediate and long-term side effects. People who have squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (SSCHN) that is related to an infection by the human papillomavirus (HPV) have been shown to have a high response to this treatment along with a high cure rate. The investigators think that by reducing the intensity of this treatment, they may be able to reduce immediate and long-term side effects which may lead to long term improvements in quality of life and function.

Using a 4-arm, cluster-randomized controlled trial, the investigators will test the effectiveness of different behavioral economic interventions in increasing statin use and reducing LDL cholesterol among patients with poor cholesterol control who are at very high risk for CVD. The investigators will test these approaches among primary care physicians and their patients at very high risk of CVD at Geisinger Health System and University of Pennsylvania outpatient clinics.

This research study is a Phase I clinical trial. Phase I clinical trials test the feasibility and safety of an investigational technique or drug. This study will try to define an appropriate dose of the investigational drug indocyanine green (ICG) in combination with near infrared (NIR) imaging to use for further studies. "Investigational" means that this drug, ICG, is approved by the FDA for other imaging uses, but not for lymphatic mapping using NIR light. Its use for following lymphatic pathways from tumors in the human body is still being studied and research doctors are trying to find out more about it. It also means that the FDA has not approved ICG mapping for your type of cancer. ICG is a dye and is approved for testing liver function and measuring blood flow from the heart. This drug has been used in studies to map lymphatic pathways in lung cancer and breast cancer and information from those other research studies suggests that this dye may help to identify lymph nodes associated with your esophageal tumor in this research study. ICG can be detected within the body using special near-infrared light cameras. In this research study, the investigators are looking at how easily ICG can get to the first lymph node (called the sentinel lymph node or SLN) associated with your esophageal tumor and whether the investigators can see the path of the ICG and the respective SLN using a near infrared camera.

The purpose of the Extension Phase of the COMPASS-HF study is to continue to observe the safety of the Chronicle® Implantable Hemodynamic Monitor (IHM) system and Chronicle ICD system and provide study doctors continued access to the heart pressure information recorded by the Chronicle devices which may be used to help manage heart failure. The Extension Phase of the COMPASS-HF study is limited to people who have already received the investigational system and are currently enrolled in a Chronicle IHM or ICD study.

The purpose of this study is to see if using Transcranial LED Therapy (TLT) using the PhotoMedex's Omnilux NEw-U LED helps improve symptoms of major depressive disorder (MDD). TLT works by briefly delivering near-infrared (non-visible) radiations to the forehead. The radiations penetrate the brain and stimulate the cells \& metabolism. Our goals are * To assess the antidepressant effect of the TLT in depressed subjects. * To assess the safety and tolerability of the TLT in depressed subjects * To assess the acceptability of the TLT in depressed subjects * To pilot test the impact on cognition of the TLT in depressed subjects (Ancillary Study)

This phase II trial is studying how well giving bevacizumab together with irinotecan works in treating young patients with recurrent, progressive, or refractory glioma, medulloblastoma, ependymoma, or low grade glioma. Monoclonal antibodies, such as bevacizumab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Bevacizumab may also stop the growth of glioma by blocking blood flow to the tumor. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as irinotecan, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving bevacizumab together with irinotecan may kill more tumor cells.

We are doing this study to investigate the effects of acupuncture on chronic low back pain. We are interested in learning about brain activity during pain. We plan to look at brain activity at the beginning and the end of the study, after 6 sessions of acupuncture treatment. You will be randomly assigned to one of two groups to receive either real or placebo acupuncture. Acupuncture has been used for many years to help relieve pain. However, it is not clear how acupuncture works. Acupuncture may relieve pain by changing activity in the nervous system. Some studies indicate that acupuncture may relieve the low back pain. However, we need more research to see how well acupuncture works to relieve pain for people with this condition. In this study, we will measure your brain activity before and after you do exercises to make your back pain worse. We will also measure your brain activity while inflating a pressure cuff device on your lower leg. We will measure this brain activity using a research tool called functional MRI (fMRI). Functional MRI is a very fast MRI that uses radio waves and a magnet, and allows the study investigators to look at changes in blood flow to different parts of the brain when there are changes in brain activity.

This is a dose-ranging study that will evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of a range of doses of investigational product and pioglitazone, compared to placebo, administered as monotherapy over 12 weeks in treatment naive patients with T2DM
