NCT01571362
The primary objective of the study is to determine the analgesic efficacy and safety of ALO-02 extended-release capsules, when compared to placebo, in subjects with moderate to severe chronic low back pain.
NCT02608957
The objective of the Latella-US study is to demonstrate the safety and efficacy of the Latella Knee Implant System for the reduction of medial osteoarthritis pain.
NCT00219284
To assess motor function and quality of life (QoL) in Parkinson's disease (PD) subjects with end-of-dose wearing off, comparing immediate and delayed switch to carbidopa/levodopa and entacapone.
NCT00106964
Hepatitis B is a contagious virus that can damage a person's liver. It can be prevented by vaccination, but for many HIV-positive people, the vaccines do not help them achieve adequate protection against this virus. In an attempt to improve response to vaccination and achieve protection from hepatitis B, this trial will compare the immune system response to 3 hepatitis B vaccine regimens in HIV-positive adolescents 12 through 24 years of age.
NCT00524004
This is a Phase II, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study designed to investigate whether hyperimmune bovine milk IgG products specific for CsbD and CS17, protect subjects against diarrhea upon challenge with a CS-17-ETEC strain LSN03-016011/A. The study will also evaluate safety and tolerability of these bovine milk IgG products and describe the immune responses following challenge. The primary study objectives are: 1) Assess safety of the anti-CsbD and anti-CS17 bovine milk IgG among healthy adult volunteers when orally administered three times a day over 7 days. 2) Determine efficacy of the anti-CsbD bovine milk IgG preparation against ETEC diarrhea upon challenge with CS17-ETEC, and 3)Determine efficacy of the anti-CS17 bovine milk IgG preparation against ETEC diarrhea upon challenge with CS17-ETEC. A secondary objective is to determine efficacy of the anti-CsbD and anti-CS17 bovine milk IgG preparations against moderate to severe ETEC diarrhea upon challenge with CS17-ETEC.
NCT02159040
The primary objective of the study is to compare the overall response rate (inclusive of complete response, partial response and hematologic improvement) per IWG 2006 criteria in patients with higher risk MDS treated with azacitidine with or without deferasirox achieved over the course of one year. Hematologic improvement must be maintained for at least 8 weeks.
NCT01666119
This is an open label study in opioid dependent subjects maintained on a stabilized dose of Suboxone tablets or films. The purpose is to assess the safety and tolerability of BEMA Buprenorphine NX administered once daily for 12 weeks to opioid dependent subjects stabilized on Suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone) tablets or films. Eligible subjects will be converted to an approximately equal dose of BEMA Buprenorphine NX. This dose will be taken throughout the 12-week treatment period with dose adjustments as clinically indicated for either the control of opioid dependence or adverse events (AEs).
NCT02186223
The primary objective of this multicenter, prospective, single arm clinical trial is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Angel® Catheter in subjects at high risk of PE, and with recognized contraindications to standard pharmacological therapy (anticoagulation).
NCT00097448
This trial aims to compare the efficacy of oral prednisone vs. methylprednisolone injected into the middle ear for the treatment of moderate-to-severe, sudden sensorineural hearing loss (inner ear hearing loss affecting one ear that occurs over less than 72 hours).
NCT01613014
The primary efficacy endpoint examines the hypothesis that ABT-436 will decrease the weekly percentage of heavy drinking days during Study Weeks 2 through 12 (Days 8-84) as compared to placebo. A "heavy drinking day" is 4 or more drinks per drinking day for women and 5 or more drinks per drinking day for men.
NCT00246662
This study primarily determined the safety and tolerability of escalating doses of vosaroxin (SNS-595) in 2 dose schedules, and assessed the PK profile of vosaroxin and defined a recommended dose regimen for Phase 2 studies. Secondarily the study assessed potential biomarkers and antileukemic activity.
NCT00351351
Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PNL), in conjunction with intracorporeal lithotripsy, allows for the rapid removal of any kidney stone regardless of size. Currently, the choice of intracorporeal lithotripters includes ultrasonic, pneumatic, and combined ultrasonic/pneumatic energy sources. Recently, a novel dual probe design as been introduced by Cybersonics of Erie, Pennsylvania. This dual probe intracorporeal lithotrite is called the Cyberwand, and is composed of a fixed inner probe vibrating at an ultrasonic frequency with an outer probe vibrating at about 1,000 Hz. As this new design has the potential to revolutionize intracorporeal lithotripsy, we intend to compare this novel technology to currently available lithotripsy technology in a randomized clinical trial.
NCT01745185
This study is a prospective active comparator study to assess the immune response elicited by human recombinant agalsidase therapy in subjects who are switching from agalsidase alfa to agalsidase beta with Fabry disease. Fabry disease is an X-linked lysosomal storage disorder, due to deficient alpha-galactosidase A activity. The progressive accumulation of globotriaosylceramide (GL-3) in the lysosomes of the vascular endothelial cells of multiple organ systems like the kidneys, heart, skin, and brain, leads to a microvascular disease. In Fabry disease, nephropathy dominates and renal function impairment occurs as a result of accumulation of GL-3 in renal cells
NCT01402986
The purpose of this study is to determine whether the addition of tralokinumab to standard asthma medication is effective in the treatment of adults with asthma.
NCT01123161
The purpose of this trial is to determine whether the combination of thrombolysis and hypothermia is superior to thrombolysis alone for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke.
NCT02510937
Participation in the study will last for 3months, with a 1 month screening phase.
NCT00494676
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the functional utility for general mobility (walking) of new high power permanent peripheral prism glasses, which provide visual field expansion device for patients with homonymous hemianopia (the complete loss of half the field of vision on the same side in both eyes). The efficacy of real peripheral prism glasses will be assessed relative to sham peripheral prism glasses.
NCT00974623
A multi-center, prospective, observational patient registry to collect information on the clinical outcomes and "real world" use of approved and commercially available bone graft substitutes, autograft and allograft.
NCT01618370
This study is a prospective, interventional, open-label, multi-center early access program for the use of Ra-223 Cl2 in HRPC/CRPC (Hormone refractory prostate cancer / Castrate resistant prostate cancer) patients diagnosed with bone metastasis and to collect additional short and long term safety data on the product.
NCT01973192
The purpose of this study is to test the hypothesis that early viral infections alter the bacterial flora and inflammatory profile in the airway and accelerate progression of pulmonary disease in infants with cystic fibrosis.
