The purpose of this study is to investigate clinical efficacy of KT07 capsule in alleviation of fever and other symptoms including nasal congestion, sore throat, cough, aches and pains, fatigue, headache, chills or sweats in subjects with acute uncomplicated influenza.
NCT03036124
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of dapagliflozin on the incidence of worsening heart failure or cardiovascular death in patients with chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction
NCT03709303
Background: Sickle cell disease is an inherited blood disorder. People with this disease have a problem with their hemoglobin. That is a protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen in the body. Some people with this disease are enrolled in research at NIH. Researchers want to learn more about the thoughts and opinions of those people. This may improve the way researchers explain clinical studies, risks, and benefits to people with the disease. Objective: To learn about the motivations, decisions, and experiences in clinical research of people with sickle cell disease. Eligibility: Adults ages 18 and older who have sickle cell disease. They must be in an NIH study on this condition. They must have been invited to join either a gene therapy or peripheral blood stem cell transplantation study. Design: Participants will have 1 interview. It will be done in a quiet room in the NIH Clinical Center or by video call. It will take about 60 minutes. The interview will be audio-recorded if the participant agrees. Participants will be asked about: * Their experiences with and thoughts on sickle cell disease * Their decision to participate in clinical research * Factors that may have affected their decision to participate. These may include family, disease history, or faith. Participants may complete a few brief questionnaires.
NCT03263286
This research will evaluate the potential for a novel hand orthosis (HandSOME) to help stroke victims regain functional use of their hand and regain independent living. Participants will use the HandSOME at home regularly for 8 weeks. Clinical evaluations will measure changes from the intervention after the 8 weeks and also at a 3 month followup.
NCT01978366
This study is designed to provide 6-months continuous dosing with the study medication, called HT-100, on participants who successfully completed the predecessor study (HALO-DMD-01). The main purpose of this study is to assess chronic safety, tolerability, pharmacodynamic activity (testing the drug's effect on DMD) and population pharmacokinetics (measuring how much drug is in the bloodstream) in participants with a broad spectrum of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).
NCT01847573
The main purpose of this study is to test the safety and tolerability of different, increasing doses of an experimental medication called HT-100 in boys and young men with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). The study medication, HT-100, is a medicine that may help promote healthy muscle regeneration, diminish inflammation and the resulting damage to muscle, and decrease the scar tissue that forms in the muscles of children with DMD. In this study, pharmacokinetic sampling, or measurements of the amount of HT-100 in the bloodstream will also be taken.
NCT03560518
The study will evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of 450 milligrams (mg) and 900 milligrams (mg) of Rapastinel, compared to placebo in participants with major depressive disorder (MDD).
NCT02644668
This study will evaluate the pharmacodynamic (PD) effect of CK-2127107 (hereafter referred to as reldesemtiv) versus placebo on measures of skeletal muscle function or fatigability in patients with Type II, III, or IV spinal muscular atrophy (SMA).
NCT03351231
The purpose of this study is to investigate safety of experimental medication BMS-986242 and Nivolumab in patients with advanced cancers.
NCT02393937
The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy of two Metronidazole Gels 1%, in the treatment of Rosacea.
NCT01516957
The study will examine the safety and effectiveness of AMG 827 for the treatment of psoriatic arthritis
NCT01711515
This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of ipilimumab when given after chemoradiation therapy in treating patients with stages IB2-IIB or IIIB-IVA cervical cancer. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Monoclonal antibodies, such as ipilimumab, may find tumor cells and help carry tumor-killing substances to them. Giving ipilimumab together with chemoradiation therapy may be a better way treat cervical cancer.
NCT01441492
This randomized prospective trial is designed to test the hypothesis that pancreatectomy without routine intraperitoneal drainage does not increase the severity or frequency of complications within 60 days of surgery.
NCT02634177
In this randomized clinical trial, subjects will be assigned to either an assay-guided treatment condition (AGT) or a treatment-as-usual condition (TAU). All subjects will provide a DNA sample at the Screening Visit for the Genecept Assay ™. In the AGT condition, assay results will be provided to the treating investigator, who will use the results to guide antidepressant pharmacotherapy. In the TAU condition, the investigator will treat the subjects without the knowledge of the pharmacogenetic testing results. Assay results for all subjects will be provided to the investigator once all Week 8 visit procedures have been completed. Raters of the primary endpoint assessment and subjects will remain blinded to treatment assignment.
NCT03482882
The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy of pimavanserin for the treatment of depression in adults with Parkinson's disease.
NCT02343536
The goal of the study is to identify a dose and schedule of CC-486 that can be safely administered with R-CHOP. To evaluate the safety and maximum tolerated dose (MTD) or the maximal administered dose (MAD) of CC-486 in combination with rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone (R-CHOP) in subjects with high risk (IPI 2 or more) previously untreated DLBCL or Grade 3B FL. Also, to determine pharmacokinetics (PK) of CC-486 when administered alone and in combination with R-CHOP and to explore preliminary efficacy of CC-486 plus R-CHOP by 2007 International Working Group (IWG) criteria.
NCT03289624
SHARE-CC is an intervention for families facing the challenges of chronic conditions. SHARE-CC (Support, Help, Activities, Resources, and Education) addresses the need for both members of a care dyad to be actively involved in current and future care planning. This intervention aims to increase knowledge of services, improve communication skills and well-being, and facilitate the understanding of care values and preferences in order to create a mutually agreed upon care plan. This intervention will be tested in a randomized control trial.
NCT02680002
The main purpose of this study is to assess the usability of long-term stored H5N1 antigen and adjuvant. The study is designed to assist in stockpile management by assessing the safety, reactogenicity, and immunogenicity long-term stored influenza A/Vietnam/H5N1 vaccine when administered with or without MF59® adjuvant.
NCT03597282
The primary purpose of this study is to demonstrate that the NEO-PV-01 vaccine, either with APX005M or ipilimumab, and nivolumab is safe for the treatment of patients with advanced or metastatic melanoma. The study will also investigate an alternative schedule for the administration of the NEO-PV-01 vaccine. Study interventions will be assessed by both clinical and immune responses to treatment.
NCT00799266
This study was designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of zoledronic acid compared to placebo in osteoporotic children treated with glucocorticoids
