NCT02341560
This study will determine the effect of QPI-1007 on visual function in subjects with recent-onset NAION and assess the safety and tolerability of intravitreal injections of QPI-1007 in this population. This study will also evaluate the structural changes in the retina following administration of QPI-1007.
NCT03745222
This is a Phase 3, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled multicenter global study designed to compare the efficacy and safety of tislelizumab in combination with concurrent chemoradiotherapy (cCRT) followed by tislelizumab monotherapy versus cCRT alone, and tislelizumab given sequentially after cCRT versus cCRT alone, in newly diagnosed stage III subjects with locally advanced, unresectable non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The primary endpoint is centrally-assessed progression free survival (PFS) in the intent-to-treat (ITT) population. .
NCT03521960
This is a pilot study to collect preliminary data to support a grant application. The goal of the study is to evaluate whether the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved and generically-available medication buspirone reduces symptoms of opioid withdrawal among patients undergoing a clinically-indicated and supervised taper from their opioid pain medications. This is premised on strong preclinical scientific support but has not yet be well-examined in humans.
NCT03205488
This study will assess the safety and tolerability of daily oral administration of nilotinib (150-300mg once daily) in Parkinson's Disease.
NCT02641158
Primary Objective: This study will evaluate the effectiveness of an HCV Care Facilitation intervention in moving HIV/HCV co-infected substance users forward along the HCV care continuum (compared with a Control group). Primary Hypothesis: The number of steps achieved along the HCV care continuum will differ between the two study groups over the 14-month follow-up period. Secondary Objectives: Component 1 (Long-term CTN 0049 follow-up): Using the CTN 0064 baseline data (self-report, medical record abstraction and biological data), the following CTN 0049 primary and secondary outcomes in participants who consented to the CTN 0064 protocol will be re-analyzed to evaluate latent and/or enduring effects of the CTN 0049 interventions: 1. HIV virological suppression 2. HIV primary care visit attendance 3. All-cause mortality
NCT02412371
This study seeks to establish * the recommended Phase 2 dose (RPTD) of veliparib in combination with concurrent paclitaxel/carboplatin-based chemoradiotherapy (CRT) and consolidation with paclitaxel/carboplatin-based chemotherapy (Phase 1 portion), and * to assess whether the addition of oral veliparib versus placebo to paclitaxel/carboplatin-based chemoradiotherapy with paclitaxel/carboplatin consolidation will improve progression-free survival (PFS) in adults with Stage III non-small cell lung cancer (Phase 2 portion). A strategy decision was made not to proceed to Phase 2 portion of this study due to change in standard of care.
NCT03289832
The objective is to determine, in a small number of participants, the protective effects of UV-induced skin erythema (reddening or "sunburn") following oral administration of sulforaphane, curcumin, or a combination of the two plant (diet)-based supplements. The investigators will be using the over-the-counter nutritional supplements Crucera-SGS and Meriva-SF to deliver the biologically stable sulforaphane precursor and a highly bioavailable formulation of curcumin. Volunteers will be challenged with UV irradiation at 2-times the minimum erythematous dose (M.E.D.) on discrete 2 cm diameter circles on the upper buttocks. Skin redness will be monitored daily using a chromometer. Biomarkers will then be evaluated in blood, urine, and skin biopsies.
NCT02573870
Batefenterol inhalation powder is currently under development as a fixed-dose combination with fluticasone furoate (FF) for the treatment of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). The present study will administer batefenterol/FF (300/100 micrograms \[mcg\]) for the first time to subjects with COPD, to investigate the safety and tolerability of the combination compared with placebo, and to evaluate the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics profiles of the individual components when administered in combination. This is a Phase IIa, multicenter, randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind, parallel group study. Subjects will be randomized (2:1) to one of the following double-blind treatment groups: Batefenterol/FF 300/100 mcg inhalation powder once daily, or matching placebo inhalation powder once daily. Subjects will self-administer the study treatments once daily (QD) in the morning for 42 days via a multi-dose dry powder inhaler (DPI) which contains two blister strips. Additionally, an inhaled short acting beta2-receptor agonist, albuterol will be provided from screening to the end of the treatment period for all subjects to use as needed to relieve COPD symptoms. At the end of the treatment period, subjects can resume conventional therapy. The study will randomize approximately 60 subjects. The total duration of subject participation (from screening to follow-up) will be approximately 8 weeks.
NCT03719053
This study examines tenofovir (TFV) drug concentrations in adults one day after taking a single dose of Truvada® - a pill used to prevent and treat HIV infection. The results of this study will be used to improve the (efficacy/accuracy) of a white coat adherence (WCA) detection test - a blood test that can be used to indicate medication adherence. Participants will receive one dose of Truvada®, and provide 2 total samples of blood.
NCT02205528
This trial is conducted in the United States of America (USA). The aim of the trial is to investigate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of once-daily subcutaneous (SC) injections of NNC0090-2746 for 12 weeks, as an adjunct to metformin, in participants with T2D.
NCT02624570
The purpose of this study is to provide access to Midostaurin and gather additional safety data on the combination of Midostaurin and standard of care for adult patients with newly diagnosed Fms-like tyrosine kinase receptor (FLT3) mutated Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) who are eligible for standard induction and consolidation chemotherapy.
NCT04272645
This research is studying two experimental drugs, abemaciclib and atezolizumab, alone and in combination with each other, to learn about the safety and effectiveness of these treatments and their side effects. This is an investigational study treatment for adult men with metastatic castrate resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) who have progressive disease despite previous treatment with androgen deprivation therapy (ADT). One group of men (men without a genetic mutation called "CDK12 loss") will receive abemaciclib therapy alone. Two other groups of men (men with CDK12 loss in one group and men without CDK12 loss in the other) will receive the combination of abemaciclib and atezolizumab. Another group of men with CDK12 loss will receive atezolizumab therapy alone.
