NCT01602666
This phase II trial studies how well chemotherapy followed by radiation therapy work in treating younger patients with newly diagnosed central nervous system germ cell tumors that have not spread to other parts of the brain, spinal canal, or body (localized). Drugs used as chemotherapy, such as carboplatin, etoposide, and ifosfamide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x rays to kill tumor cells. Giving chemotherapy followed by radiation therapy may kill more tumor cells.
NCT05450692
This study will assess the efficacy and safety of the combination of ceralasertib and durvalumab versus standard of care docetaxel in patients with locally advanced and metastatic NSCLC after progression on prior anti-PD-(L)1 therapy and platinum-based chemotherapy.
NCT05496296
Pressure injuries, commonly known as pressure ulcers, affect over 2.5 million people in the United States. Pressure injuries are classified into four escalating stages, from intact skin to full thickness wounds with deep tissue loss and exposed bone. This study will compare current standard of care treatment (as recommended by the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel) to treatment with Altrazeal® in patients with stage 2, stage 3 and stage 4 pressure injury wounds. Altrazeal® is a Class 1, 501(k) exempt medical device listed with the FDA as a "dressing, wound, hydrogel" and has an extended wear time of up to 30 days. Subjects can be enrolled in the study either as an outpatient, or while hospitalized. Half of the subjects will be randomized to standard of care treatment, and the other half will be randomized to Altrazeal®. There are a total of up to 12 study visits taking place over 12 weeks.
NCT03970343
The OPTIMIZER Smart Post-Approval Study is a prospective, multi-center, non-randomized, single arm open label study of 620 subjects receiving an OPTIMIZER implant as standard of care. Patients to be included will have NYHA functional class III symptoms and a left ventricular ejection fraction of 25-45%
NCT03537768
The proposed research study is a Phase IIb, multi-center, single-blind, randomized study of UPA 30 mg, LNG 1.5 mg and LNG 3.0 mg to evaluate EC effectiveness in women with weight ≥ 80 kg who present within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse.
NCT05014139
This study will test a drug called enfortumab vedotin in participants with a type of bladder cancer called non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). This study will also evaluate what the side effects are and if the drug works to treat NMIBC. A side effect is anything a drug does to your body besides treating your disease. In this study enfortumab vedotin will be put into the bladder using a catheter. A catheter is a thin tube that can be put into your bladder.
NCT04287062
This study is designed to elucidate the role of the orexin neurotransmitter system in sleep disturbance and circadian rhythms of stress that might in turn influence relapse behaviors in persons on medication-assisted treatments (MAT) who are in early recovery from opioid use disorder (OUD). Briefly, the study will enroll recently abstinent OUD patients (N=200) maintained on either extended-release naltrexone (XR-NTX), buprenorphine, or methadone. Within each MAT group, participants will be randomized to either suvorexant or placebo. The study is expected to have a 20% treatment attrition rate which will result in N=160 completers in the entire study. Patients will be recruited from and treated at Ashley Addiction Treatment, Addiction Treatment Services at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Man Alive, or community providers.
NCT04628936
This was an open-label study to evaluate the long-term efficacy and safety of KZR-616 in patients with active polymyositis (PM) or dermatomyositis (DM) who completed the double-blind treatment period of Study KZR-616-003, up to and including the Week 32 Visit, prior to the first dose of open-label KZR-616.
NCT04469231
A multicenter, prospective, non-randomized, historically controlled study. Demonstrate the Synergy Disc is at least as safe and effective as conventional anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) to treat cervical degenerative disc disease (DDD) in subjects who are symptomatic at only one level from C3 to C7 that are unresponsive to conservative management. Patients will be evaluated preoperatively, at the time of surgery, and at 6 weeks, 3, 6, 12, and 24 months after surgery. Follow-up will continue annually until the last patient reaches 24-month follow-up. The primary analysis will occur at 24 months.
NCT06328738
The purpose of this study is to determine the safety, tolerability, and recommended dose of ELVN-002 in combination with trastuzumab in participants with advanced-stage HER2-positive tumors and in combination with trastuzumab, and chemotherapy in participants with advanced-stage HER2-positive colorectal cancer and breast cancer.
NCT01892722
To evaluate the safety and efficacy of fingolimod vs. interferon beta-1a i.m. in pediatric patients with multiple sclerosis (MS)
NCT05263934
This study aims to investigate the efficacy and safety of depemokimab compared with mepolizumab in adults with relapsing or refractory EGPA receiving SoC therapy.
NCT05382156
This is a non-interventional, multinational, multi-centre study with primary data collection, to further document the safety and efficacy of osilodrostat administered in routine clinical practice in patients treated with osilodrostat for endogenous Cushing's Syndrome
NCT06689839
The objective of this study is to compare the safety and effectiveness of the F2 Cerebral Protection System (CPS) to a standard of care control group in patients undergoing Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TF TAVR)
NCT05424276
This study investigates the safety and tolerability of drug IkT-148009 in untreated Parkinson's disease volunteers (30 to 80 years old). It also looks at the pharmacokinetics of IkT-148009 in the body and evaluates the effect of IkT-148009 on motor and non-motor features of the disease. This 12 week study is designed to be 3:1 randomized across 3 doses of IkT-148009 or placebo. Each participant will self-administer one of 3 doses or placebo of IkT-148009 once daily (QD) with food for 12 weeks. For more information, visit our website: www.the201trial.com
NCT03183245
The main purpose of this study is to compare the Human Acellular Vessel (HAV) with arteriovenous fistula (AVF) when used for hemodialysis access
NCT07060716
The goal of this observational study is to learn if the donor-derived cell-free DNA (dd-cfDNA) test can assess rejection in kidney transplant recipients. Participants will have blood and urine collected at their study visit. Researchers will compare results of the GraftAssureDx to rejection detected by standard-of-care graft biopsies.
NCT03764033
The objective of this project is to test the efficacy of an individual treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) stemming from moral injury called Impact of Killing (IOK), compared to a present-centered therapy (PCT) control condition, and to determine the rehabilitative utility of IOK for Veterans with PTSD. The first aim is to test whether IOK can help improve psychosocial functioning for Veterans, as well as PTSD symptoms. The second aim is to determine whether IOK gains made by Veterans in treatment are durable, as measured by a six-month follow-up assessment. Veterans who kill in war are at increased risk for functional difficulties, PTSD, alcohol abuse, and suicide. Even after current PTSD psychotherapies, most Veterans continue to meet diagnostic criteria for PTSD, highlighting the need for expanding treatments for PTSD and functioning. IOK is a treatment that can be provided following existing PTSD treatments, filling a critical gap for Veterans with moral injury who continue to suffer from mental health symptoms and functional difficulties.
