NCT00104104
The purpose of this trial is to study the safety of treating patients with multiple myeloma and at least one bone lesion with zoledronic acid 4mg intravenously (IV) every 3 - 4 weeks for 2 years. Patients will receive a zoledronic acid infusion for 15 minutes or 30 minutes.
NCT00195715
To evaluate the long-term maintenance of response, safety and tolerability of repeated administration of adalimumab in subjects with Crohn's disease who participated in and successfully completed Protocol M02-404 or Protocol M04-691.
NCT00112619
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as topotecan, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. PURPOSE: This phase I trial is studying the side effects, best way to give, and best dose of topotecan when given by intraventricular infusion in treating young patients with neoplastic meningitis due to leukemia, lymphoma, or solid tumors.
NCT00393991
The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy and safety of the fixed combination asthma drug FlutiForm HFA MDI with its two components administered alone, fluticasone propionate and formoterol fumarate, and with placebo in adult and adolescent patients with mild to moderate asthma.
NCT01151384
Liposome Encapsulated Docetaxel (LE-DT) is a novel proprietary delivery system of docetaxel developed by NeoPharm, Inc. In this Phase I study, the LE-DT was evaluated for the maximum tolerated dose and dose limiting toxicity (DLT) in patients with advance solid tumors. It was also evaluated for pharmacokinetic and anti-tumor effects.
NCT00044356
The purpose of this clinical trial is to determine if Allovectin-7®, an experimental gene-based immunotherapy, can shrink melanoma tumors. The trial will also examine if this treatment can improve the time to disease progression.
NCT01380457
The purpose of this study is to compare the rate and extent of absorption of Dronabinol 10 mg capsules verses Marinol.
NCT00624845
The purpose of this study is to assess the benefit of OMS103HP for Injection (OMS103HP) compared with vehicle irrigation solution for prevention of pain and pain relief in subjects undergoing meniscectomy. The pain relief is assessed based on Visual Analog Scale (VAS) Pain Scores in the immediate 24-hour postoperative period and for seven days postoperatively.
NCT01061242
The purpose of this study is to understand patients' neurocognitive performance shortly after discharge from the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and the potential effect of sleep quality in the MICU on those neurocognitive outcomes. The investigators hypothesize that post-ICU neurocognitive function and patient overall ICU sleep experience will improve through a pre-existing MICU sleep improvement initiative.
NCT00683930
This study was designed to assess the efficacy and safety of CellCept (1 g or 1.5 g orally twice daily for 52 weeks) in patients with pemphigus vulgaris receiving prednisone or other corticosteroids. During the study, patients had their corticosteroid dose gradually reduced if they responded to treatment. The anticipated time on study treatment was 12 months, and the target sample size was \<100 individuals.
NCT00757237
The purpose of this study was to assess the comparative safety and effectiveness of aztreonam for inhalation solution versus tobramycin inhalation solution in adult and pediatric patients with cystic fibrosis (CF) and pulmonary Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PA) infection.
NCT01055106
The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of GW05 administered in 3 regimens versus metronidazole 0.75% for the treatment of bacterial vaginosis.
NCT00546780
This is a phase 3, open label trial for patients with multiple myeloma in first relapse. Trial will compare tanespimycin (KOS-953), in combination with a fixed dose of bortezomib versus bortezomib alone.
NCT00849953
A prospective, post-approval registry study assessing subject rhinosinusitis symptomatic status over time following treatment with FinESS Sinus Treatment using self-administered quality of life survey data.
NCT00779519
Multiple pathways including peripheral and central hormones and neurotransmitters are involved in the regulation of food intake and body weight. One of the most studied pathways involves the melanocortin receptor. Agouti-related protein (AgRP) and alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone (alphaMSH)have been shown to play an integral role in food intake and body weight. It is reasonable to speculate that if there is an imbalance of alphaMSH and AgRP exist in obese individuals and inhibiting the activity of AgRP may be of therapeutic benefit in treating obesity.
NCT00933738
This is a multi-center study designed to evaluate the heparin insensitivity of the INRatio Prothrombin Time (PT) Monitoring System, utilizing an INRatio test strip additionally modified for low sample volume. The INRatio test strip is used for the quantitative determination of PT and International Normalized Ratio (INR) results in fingerstick blood from subjects on oral anticoagulation therapy (OAT) with warfarin. This study is designed to evaluate the accuracy of the modified INRatio test strip during heparin-warfarin bridge therapy with unfractionated heparin (UH) or low molecular weight heparin (LMWH), such as enoxaparin or dalteparin. These INR results will be compared to the INR results obtained on plasma from the same subjects as analyzed at a central laboratory with the heparin-insensitive reference method: the Sysmex CA-560 System. The levels of UH or LMWH in the plasma samples will be assessed using activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT) and anti-factor-Xa assays respectively.
NCT00984802
This study is conducted to assess the safety of CMX-2043 solution for intravenous (IV) injection, and to evaluate efficacy on the basis of the changes seen in the cardiac biomarkers and continuous electrocardiography (ECG) monitoring. Additionally, correlation of the levels/changes in the biomarkers and the pharmacokinetic evaluations of the drug will be explored.
NCT00286793
This is an open-label, multicenter Phase I/II study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of AT-101 in combination with docetaxel and prednisone in men with hormone-refractory prostate cancer that are either chemotherapy naive or have received and progressed on a docetaxel containing regimen,
NCT00369447
This is a Phase I-II study designed to investigate nimotuzumab (TheraCIM h-R3) in combination with external radiation in patients with non-small cell lung cancer. The purpose of the Phase I portion of the study is to evaluate the safety and feasibility of the administration of nimotuzumab with palliative radiation in patients who are unsuitable for radical therapy and to select the optimal dose for the Phase II component of the study. The primary objective for the Phase II portion of the study is to examine the efficacy of this combination treatment. The Phase I component of this study has been completed. The Phase II is now closed to recruitment.
NCT01378572
With the present study the investigators intend to identify the morphologic and electrophysiologic substrate markers of increased arrhythmic risk in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy undergoing implantation of a defibrillator for the primary prevention of sudden cardiac death. Moreover, the investigators also aim to identify if there is any electrophysiological substrate modification at the time of the first arrhythmic event in these patients. To this aim, the investigators will prospectively correlate electroanatomic mapping and cardiac magnetic resonance findings with arrhythmic events, in order to identify substrate markers of increased arrhythmic risk in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy, who are therefore more likely to benefit from a defibrillator implantation. Furthermore, electroanatomic mapping will be repeated at the time of the first arrhythmic event and compared with that at baseline, in order to evaluate any electrophysiological substrate changes.
