NCT04660643
This was a study of tirzepatide in participants with obesity or overweight. The main purpose was to learn more about how tirzepatide maintained body weight loss. The study had two phases: a lead-in phase in which all participants took tirzepatide and a treatment phase in which participants either continued tirzepatide or switched to placebo. The study lasted about 2 years (25 visits).
NCT04542343
African American adults, specifically those managing chronic disease and social isolation, are one of the most vulnerable groups susceptible to COVID-19. This intervention involves a multi-disciplinary and culturally sensitive approach to address two major COVID-19 related challenges in this population. First, this program collaborates with predominantly African American churches to implement Federal and State guidelines aimed at preventing outbreaks of COVID-19 at faith-based gatherings. Second, this program trains church-based health advisors to help African American older parishioners manage their chronic health conditions and reduce psychological distress during the pandemic.
NCT03992456
This phase II trial studies how well retreatment with panitumumab works compared to standard of care regorafenib or trifluridine and tipiracil hydrochloride (TAS-102) in treating patients with colorectal cancer that is negative for RAS wild-type colorectal cancer has spread to other places in the body (metastatic), and/or cannot be removed by surgery (unresectable), and is negative for resistance mutations in blood. Treatment with panitumumab may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Some tumors need growth factors to keep growing. Growth factor antagonists, such as regorafenib, may interfere with the growth factor and stop the tumor from growing. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as TAS-102, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving panitumumab may work better in treating patients with colorectal cancer than with the usual treatment of regorafenib or TAS-102.
NCT05551650
This project will continue to follow two birth cohorts of mother-infant Latino dyads through a series of new assessments at age 6y, with an emphasis on examining the the role early nutritional exposures, exposures to environmental toxins, and social determinants of health have on adiposity, eating behaviors, brain structure and function, cognitive outcomes, and chronic disease risk.
NCT03849118
89Zr-TLX250 is under clinical development as a diagnostic agent targeting clear cell renal cell carcinoma.
NCT05305040
This is a Phase 3 study to evaluate posoleucel (ALVR105, Viralym-M); an allogeneic, off-the-shelf multi-virus specific T cell therapy that targets six viral pathogens: BK virus, cytomegalovirus, adenovirus, Epstein-Barr virus, human herpesvirus 6 and JC virus.
NCT05780892
Burnout and job dissatisfaction among clinicians are one of the greatest challenges facing healthcare today. Clinicians report feeling less engaged in their work and are leaving their fields in large numbers which reflects increasing stress from the pandemic coupled with increased administrative and regulatory demands and a decreased sense of autonomy. To attenuate these factors the current study will enact a series of interventions that would decrease mental distress, increase self-efficacy, and attenuate inefficiencies in their work environment to achieve sustainable improvement. The investigators will offer psychological training using techniques that have been shown to impact individual's mental health that target feelings of demoralization, depression and anxiety that result from chronic stress. Additionally, the investigators will offer individualized training on optimization of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) to help clinicians from different fields and settings reduce their time and effort needed for documentation. The investigators will also engage clinicians in systemic redesign to empower clinician-directed changes to the health system environment. The investigators anticipate that each intervention will positively affect emotional wellbeing, skills mastery of the Electronic Health Record (EHR), and environmental dissatisfaction to reduce overall burnout.
NCT03377452
This study is a randomized controlled trial (RCT) to test two sleep apnea education programs for women Veterans newly diagnosed with sleep apnea (SA) who are prescribed positive airway pressure (PAP) therapy. This education program is designed to improve participants' sleep quality and help them to adjust to PAP therapy. Participants undergo a sleep and health assessment that is performed prior to beginning the education program. This assessment includes wearing a wrist actigraph to measure sleep and wake periods for 7 days and nights, and answering questionnaires about sleep habits and health. Participants are randomly assigned to one of two 6-week programs (intervention or educational control) provided by a study interventionist. Follow-up sleep and health assessments will be conducted at the end of the 6-week program and 3-months later. PAP usage data will be collected remotely for 6-months from PAP therapy initiation.
NCT02185417
The Diuretic Comparison Project aimed to evaluate whether chlorthalidone, as compared with hydrochlorothiazide, would reduce the risk of major nonfatal cardiovascular disease outcomes and non-cancer-related deaths in older patients with hypertension who were receiving hydrochlorothiazide at baseline. The investigators incorporated the pragmatic methods used by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Healthcare System to provide a real-world assessment of the effectiveness of chlorthalidone as compared with hydrochlorothiazide in routine clinical care.
NCT05043649
This is an Interventional Study in Advanced Soft Tissue Sarcomas (ASTS). It is a Phase 1b, open-label, dose-escalation clinical study evaluating the safety of camsirubicin with prophylactic pegfilgrastim in the treatment of advanced soft tissue sarcomas. The objective of the study is to evaluate the safety of camsirubicin with prophylactic pegfilgrastim in the treatment of ASTS and determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and/or recommended phase 2 dose (RP2D) of camsirubicin with prophylactic pegfilgrastim. The primary endpoint is the MTD (RP2D).The secondary endpoints are: safety profile of camsirubicin with prophylactic pegfilgrastim, PFS, TTP, ORR, DoR, OS and PK. As exploratory endpoint, Quality of life will be measured by using the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy: General (FACT-G).
