This phase II trial studies the effect of adding pembrolizumab to gemcitabine in treating patients with non-muscle invasive bladder cancer whose cancer does not respond to Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) treatment. Chemotherapy drugs, such as gemcitabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as pembrolizumab, may help the patient's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Adding pembrolizumab to gemcitabine may delay the return of BCG-unresponsive bladder cancer for longer period compared to gemcitabine alone.

This clinical trial evaluates whether a mentorship and education intervention called COACH-APP works to improve advanced practice providers' (APPs) confidence in their ability to participate in clinical research (research self-efficacy). APPs are skilled clinicians who are routinely part of cancer care teams, but who may not routinely be part of the research care team at community oncology sites. The COACH-APP program provides focused education and structured mentorship to assist in meaningful integration to the research care team, which may increase research self-efficacy among APPs and ultimately improve patient care and access to clinical trials.

The goal of this study is to learn if emvistegrast (formerly GS-1427) is effective in treating participants with moderate to severe ulcerative colitis. The study will compare participants in different treatment groups treated with emvistegrast with participants treated with placebo. The primary objective of this study is to assess the efficacy of emvistegrast, compared with placebo control, in achieving clinical response at Week 12.

This phase II trial studies how well olaparib with or without tremelimumab works in treating patients with ovarian, fallopian tube, or peritoneal cancer that has come back (recurrent). PARPs are proteins that help repair deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) mutations. PARP inhibitors, such as olaparib, can keep PARP from working, so tumor cells can't repair themselves, and they may stop growing. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as tremelimumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving olaparib and tremelimumab together may work better than olaparib alone in treating patients with ovarian, fallopian tube, or peritoneal cancer.

This is a phase-III multi-center double-blind randomized controlled trial of 8,000 individuals undergoing a scheduled or prelabor cesarean delivery who are randomized to either adjunctive azithromycin prophylaxis or to placebo. Both groups also will receive standard of care preoperative antibiotics (excluding azithromycin). This study is done to find out whether the medicine, semaglutide, has a positive effect on early Alzheimer's disease. Participants will either get semaglutide or placebo (a "dummy" medicine which does not contain any study medicine) - which treatment participants get is decided by an equal chance. The study will last for up to 173 weeks (about 3 years and 4 months). Participants will have 17 clinic visits and 1 phone call with the study doctor. The study includes various tests and scans. At 10 of the clinic visits participants will have blood samples taken. Participants must have a study partner, who is willing to take part in the study. Women cannot take part if pregnant, breastfeeding or plan to become pregnant during the study period. A cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) sub-study will be performed as a part of the study. The sub-study will be performed on a selection of sites based on their experience with CSF sampling and willingness to participate in this sub-study. The endpoints related to this sub-study are exploratory only.

This phase II trial studies how well cabozantinib, nivolumab, and ipilimumab work in treating patients with differentiated thyroid cancer that does not respond to radioactive iodine and that worsened after treatment with a drug targeting the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR), a protein needed to form blood vessels. Cabozantinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab and ipilimumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving cabozantinib, nivolumab and ipilimumab may work better than the usual approach consisting of chemotherapy with drugs such as doxorubicin, sorafenib, and lenvatinib for this type of thyroid cancer.

The goal of this Phase 1 clinical trial is to learn about the safety profile of Amicidin-β topical solution applied directly into infected surgical or traumatic wounds during a surgical procedure. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Is Amicidin-β topical solution safe to test in larger clinical trials? 2. Is Amicidin-β topical solution absorbed into the bloodstream from local wound application? 3. Is Amicidin-β topical solution easy for the surgeon to use? Participants will receive either standard of care alone, or standard of care with intrawound Amicidin-β topical solution for the management of their wound infection. Researchers will compare these two groups (standard of care alone to standard of care with Amicidin-β topical solution) to see if there are any study drug-related adverse effects.

Researchers want to learn if intismeran autogene with pembrolizumab can stop advanced melanoma from growing or spreading. Melanoma is a type of skin cancer. Advanced means the cancer has spread to other parts of the body and cannot be removed with surgery. A standard (or usual) treatment for advanced melanoma is immunotherapy. Immunotherapy is a treatment that helps the immune system fight cancer. Intismeran autogene is a study treatment designed to help a person's immune system attack their specific cancer. Pembrolizumab is an immunotherapy. The goal of this study is to learn if people who receive intismeran autogene with pembrolizumab live longer without the cancer growing or spreading than people who receive placebo with pembrolizumab. A placebo looks like the study treatment but has no study treatment in it. Using a placebo helps researchers better understand the effects of a study treatment.
