NCT01216683
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as bendamustine hydrochloride, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Monoclonal antibodies, such as rituximab, can block cancer growth in different ways. Some block the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Others find cancer cells and help kill them or carry cancer-killing substances to them. Bortezomib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Biological therapies, such as lenalidomide, may stimulate the immune system in different ways and stop cancer cells from growing. It is not yet known whether giving bendamustine hydrochloride and rituximab together alone is more effective than giving bendamustine hydrochloride and rituximab together with bortezomib or lenalidomide in treating follicular lymphoma. PURPOSE: This randomized phase II trial is studying giving bendamustine hydrochloride and rituximab together with or without bortezomib followed by rituximab with or without lenalidomide to see how well they work in treating patients with high-risk stage II, stage III, or stage IV follicular lymphoma.
NCT01013961
RATIONALE: Monoclonal antibodies, such as rituximab and alemtuzumab, can block cancer growth in different ways. Some block the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Others find cancer cells and help kill them or carry cancer killing substances to them. Giving rituximab together with alemtuzumab may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: This randomized phase II trial is studying two different doses of rituximab to compare how well they work when given together with alemtuzumab in treating older patients with progressive chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
NCT00103207
RATIONALE: Monoclonal antibodies, such as cetuximab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well cetuximab works in treating patients with recurrent or stage IIIB or stage IV lung cancer.
NCT04194528
This is a feasibility study to assess the use of a Digital Medicine Program (consisting of an FDA-approved ingestible sensor co-encapsulated with oxycodone/acetaminophen (5 mg/325 mg), a small wearable patch, and a mobile application) in cancer patients with metastatic disease experiencing uncontrolled pain.
NCT00070291
RATIONALE: Cyclosporine may help the immune system slow the growth of angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well cyclosporine works in treating patients with recurrent or refractory angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma.
NCT03633617
The primary objectives of the study by study part are: Part A: To determine the treatment effect of dupilumab compared with placebo in adult and adolescent patients with EoE after 24 weeks of treatment as assessed by histological and clinical measures and to inform/confirm the final sample size determination for Part B. Part B: To demonstrate the efficacy of dupilumab treatment compared with placebo in adult and adolescent patients with EoE after 24 weeks of treatment as assessed by histological and clinical measures. Part C: To assess the safety and efficacy of dupilumab treatment in adult and adolescent patients with EoE after up to 52 weeks of treatment as assessed by histological and clinical measures. The secondary objectives of the study are: * To evaluate the safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity of dupilumab treatment for up to 52 weeks in adult and adolescent patients with EoE * To explore the relationship between dupilumab concentration and responses in adult and adolescent patients with EoE, using descriptive analyses * To evaluate the effects of dupilumab on transcriptomic signatures associated with EoE and type 2 inflammation * To demonstrate the efficacy of dupilumab treatment compared to placebo after 24 weeks and 52 weeks of treatment in adult and adolescent patients with EoE who have previously received swallowed topical corticosteroids
NCT00071981
RATIONALE: Vaccines made from peptides may make the body build an immune response to kill tumor cells. PURPOSE: This randomized phase II trial is studying four different vaccines using melanoma peptides from cytotoxic T cells and helper T cells to see how well they work in treating patients with metastatic melanoma.
NCT03197870
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of subcutaneously administered AKB-9778 15mg once daily or 15mg twice daily for 12 months in patients with moderate to severe non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy (NPDR).
NCT02226965
This study is sponsored by Sierra Oncology, Inc. formerly ProNAi Therapeutics, Inc. It is a multi-center, nonrandomized, open label, phase II investigation of PNT2258 to characterize anti-tumor activity and collect safety data on patients with relapsed or refractory (r/r) diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
NCT04210505
Hemodialysis patients are at high-risk for infections, specifically Staphylococcus aureus infections. The investigators propose to 1) implement a novel intervention (nasal povidone-iodine at each hemodialysis session) to prevent S. aureus infections using a stepped-wedge cluster randomized trial, and 2) evaluate the feasibility and acceptability of this intervention. If successful, this intervention can be used among hemodialysis patients, and evaluated in other high-risk patient populations to prevent S. aureus infections.
NCT04537793
This study will evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and efficacy of elexacaftor (ELX)/tezacaftor (TEZ)/ivacaftor (IVA) triple combination therapy in CF subjects 2 through 5 years of age.
NCT05194839
A 12-week Randomized, Double-blind, Placebo-controlled, Dose Ranging Phase 2 Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of RIST4721 in Subjects with Palmoplantar Pustulosis followed by an Open-label Extension Phase.
NCT02094586
The primary goal of this Phase III study is to compare 3 lots for consistency of manufacture.
NCT03142191
This is a Phase 2, multicenter, multinational, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study evaluating the efficacy, safety, pharmacokinetics (PK), quality of life and exploratory pharmacodynamics (PD) of two treatment doses of CC-90001, 200 mg and 400 mg, compared with placebo, when delivered once daily per os (PO) in subjects with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). This study is designed to assess response to treatment by using measures of lung function, disease progression, fibrosis on radiography, and patient-reported outcomes. It will also assess dose response.
NCT03123250
Single-arm, interventional pivotal clinical trial collecting patient data from use of the AQUABEAM System, a personalized image-guided waterjet resection system that utilizes a high-velocity saline stream to resect and remove prostate tissue in males suffering from Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS) due to Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) with prostate volumes between 80 mL and 150 mL. The primary endpoints for safety and effectiveness will be measured at 3 months post-treatment. Treated subjects will be followed out to 60 months to collect long-term clinical data.
NCT00045305
RATIONALE: Photopheresis treats the patient's blood with drugs and ultraviolet light outside the body and kills the white blood cells. Giving photopheresis, pentostatin, and radiation therapy before a donor bone marrow or stem cell transplant helps stop the patient's immune system from rejecting the donor's stem cells. The donated stem cells may replace the patient's immune system and help destroy any remaining cancer cells (graft-versus-tumor effect). Sometimes the transplanted cells from a donor can also make an immune response against the body's normal cells. Giving pentostatin before transplant and cyclosporine or mycophenolate mofetil after transplant may stop this from happening. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving pentostatin together with photopheresis and total-body irradiation work before donor bone marrow transplant in treating patients with myelodysplastic syndromes.
