NCT04053634
Phase 3 study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of a benralizumab in patients with moderate to very severe COPD with a history of frequent COPD exacerbations and elevated peripheral blood eosinophils (≥300/μL). Eligible patients must have a history of ≥2 moderate and/or severe COPD exacerbations in the previous year despite receiving triple (ICS/LABA/LAMA) background therapy for at least 3 months and ICS-based dual inhaled treatment for the remainder of the year. Eligible patients must also have an elevated blood eosinophil count. The treatment period will be of variable duration and will continue until the last patient has the opportunity to complete a minimum of 56 weeks, at which point all patients will complete the study. The primary endpoint will be analyzed at Week 56.
NCT04232254
Adopting a healthy eating pattern is important for meeting dietary recommendations and weight management. Although less clear, it seems reasonable to assume that the eating patterns we typically follow can also affect our psychological wellbeing. As such, healthy eating patterns are often adapted to suit one's personal preference. For example, many people choose to follow a vegetarian-style eating pattern whereby meat, poultry, and seafood are excluded from the diet. However, current research suggests that vegetarian eating patterns may result in decreased synthesis of new muscle proteins when compared to the typical meat-based US-style diet. This ultimately leads to reduced muscle quality and mass which increases the risk of dependence and mobility limitations later in life. Another important factor to consider when adapting a healthy eating pattern is the frequency and distribution of meals throughout the day. In the US, protein intake is typically skewed throughout the day such that people consume more protein at dinner when compared to breakfast. This skewed distribution combined with a low meal frequency (3 meals per day) can also sacrifice the rate of muscle protein synthesis. As such, it is important to investigate the interaction between food choices, meal frequency, and protein distribution to promote muscle health and prevent development of disease and disability. In addition, it is also important to understand how these eating patterns affect enjoyment and pleasure following meals. This work will help to determine healthy eating patterns that promote muscle health and psychological wellbeing.
NCT05467176
This is a multi-center, prospective, observational study of patients being treated with ORGOVYX. The goal of this study is to generate real-world evidence about the safety and effectiveness of ORGOVYX in patients with prostate cancer in routine clinical care and the clinical course during treatment with and following cessation of ORGOVYX.
NCT02315898
Plastic bronchitis (PB) is a rare, most often pediatric disease characterized by the formation of obstructive airway casts primarily composed of fibrin. There is presently no FDA-approved pharmacotherapy for PB, but acute exacerbations of the illness are often treated with inhaled tissue plasminogen activator (tPA). To date, this is done somewhat anecdotally because there has been no safety or efficacy testing of this treatment. In addition, there is presently no reliable surrogate marker of adverse drug events. Nevertheless, in the absence of inhaled tPA treatment, PB-induced respiratory distress can be severe, often warranting urgent or emergent bronchoscopy for cast removal, or can sometimes result in respiratory failure. As such there is a significant unmet need for safety and efficacy testing of inhaled tPA and for biomarkers of drug response. Objectives and Endpoints: The objectives of this protocol are to: 1) test the safety and efficacy of an inhaled tPA regimen in children with PB; and 2) identify potential candidate biomarkers of inhaled tPA drug response. Safety endpoints will consist of the development of new, active bleeding that is systemic and/or pulmonary and/or new hematuria (defined as gross hematuria). Secondary endpoints of efficacy will also be measured (e.g., frequency of cast production). Urine and blood will also be collected for the development of potential biomarkers of inhaled tPA drug response. Funding source- FDA OOPD
NCT06082167
This is a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, controlled Phase 2/3 trial of zanzalintinib in combination with pembrolizumab versus zanzalintinib-matched placebo in combination with pembrolizumab in subjects with programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) positive recurrent or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (R/M HNSCC) incurable by local therapies who have not received prior systemic therapy for recurrent or metastatic disease.
NCT04717934
Main study: Randomized, evaluator-blinded, no treatment controlled multicenter study to evaluate safety and effectiveness of GAL1906 for the correction of wrinkles in the décolletage area. Sub-study: To evaluate imaging interpretation of mammograms in subjects who were enrolled and treated in the 43USRV1906 main study. The sub-study will determine if hyaluronic acid injections in the décolletage interfere with diagnosis or interpretation of mammogram results.
NCT05609578
Study CA239-0010 is an open-label, Phase 2 clinical trial evaluating the clinical efficacy of adagrasib in combination with pembrolizumab and chemotherapy in the first-line setting for patients with advanced NSCLC with TPS ≥ 1%, TPS \<50% and KRAS G12C mutation
NCT06164704
The primary purpose of this study is to assess the effect of verekitug (UPB-101) on the endoscopically determined size and extend of nasal polyps in participants with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) and to assess the safety and tolerability of verekitug (UPB-101) compared to placebo.
NCT04133909
This is a multi-center, randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind, parallel group study designed to confirm the benefits of mepolizumab treatment on moderate or severe exacerbations in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) participants given as an add on to their optimized maintenance COPD therapy. The maximum duration of participant participation is approximately 109 weeks, consisting of 2 screening visits (up to 3 weeks), a run-in period (up to 2 weeks), and an intervention period of at least 52 weeks and up to 104 weeks. 800 participants will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to receive mepolizumab 100 milligrams (mg) or placebo every 4 weeks for at least 13 doses (52 weeks treatment period) up to a maximum of 26 doses (104 weeks treatment period). The number of randomized participants may increase up to approximately 1400.

NCT05423743
The INSPIRE Abdominal Infection Trial is a cluster-randomized controlled trial of HCA Healthcare hospitals comparing routine empiric antibiotic stewardship practices with real-time, precision medicine computerized physician order entry (CPOE) smart prompts providing the probability that a non-critically ill adult admitted with abdominal infection is infected with a resistant pathogen. Note: enrolled "subjects" represent 102 individual HCA Healthcare hospitals that have been randomized into 92 clusters. Hospitals were grouped into the same randomization cluster if they shared campuses or antibiotic stewardship staff.
