NCT05746572
Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a debilitating disorder. While effective treatments exist, some patients fail to receive the full benefits. Alternative treatment approaches are needed. 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) is a medicine associated with feelings of closeness and love for others, empathy, insightfulness, and feelings of peace or well-being. Recent research combining one or two doses of MDMA with psychotherapy has shown improvements in PTSD symptoms. For the present study, the researchers will investigate MDMA in combination with Prolonged Exposure therapy (PE), a gold-standard treatment for PTSD. All participants receive MDMA on the second day of a 10-day PE treatment program in which a PE therapy session occurs each day. This study will occur at the Emory Brain Health Center. Potential participants will be recruited via community advertising and mental health referrals. The research team will also collect psychophysiological data for exploratory analyses regarding how MDMA may improve PE treatment for PTSD. This is an important study as it is the first time MDMA will be combined with an evidence-based existing PTSD treatment. The study population will consist of people who meet the criteria for PTSD and are medically appropriate for MDMA administration.

NCT06075797
The goal of this pilot randomized controlled trial is to test the feasibility of running a full scale randomized controlled trial that compares the effect of the PQ-ResPOND intervention versus usual care to improve recurrent pain in children, adolescents, and young adults with severe neurologic impairment. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Is the study feasible and acceptable for participants? * Does PQ-ResPOND have a potential to be effective? Participants will: * answer surveys (their parents will) telling us about the child's pain, symptoms, and use of complementary therapies, and about their own psychological distress and satisfaction with care. * a group will receive the PQ-ResPOND intervention which consists of: * activating parents and providers by using the PediQUEST system, a web platform that administers surveys and generates feedback reports alerting parents and providers about the child's experience, AND * responding to child pain or discomfort by incorporating the Response team (members of the hospital's palliative care team) into the child's care to privde a standardized approach to managing recurrent pain. Researchers will use a comparison (control) group consisting of participants who will answer surveys and receive usual care (no feedback reports or consult with palliative care in this group) to see if a randomized design is feasible.
NCT07122986
This study evaluates an investigational vaccine designed to protect against Escherichia coli (E coli). The primary objective is to assess the safety and tolerability of E coli vaccines administered intramuscularly to healthy adults.
NCT05985304

NCT05253677
Computed tomography (CT) has become an established tool in the diagnostic workup of patients with suspected coronary artery disease (CAD). The availability of coronary CT angiography (CCTA) before the invasive procedure allows stratifying case complexity and can be used to improve patient selection for PCI, to plan and guide therapeutic interventions. Beyond the diagnostic and therapeutic phase, it helps to better organize the catheterization laboratory workflow. The P4 study is an investigator-initiated, multicenter, randomized study with a non-inferiority design of patients with an indication for PCI aiming at comparing clinical outcomes between two imaging strategies to guide PCI, being coronary CT-guided PCI strategy (investigational technology) and IVUS-guided PCI strategy (comparator). After identifying the presence of a significant coronary stenosis, the patient will be randomized either to CT- or IVUS-guided PCI groups. Both CT and IVUS-guided PCI will be performed following the P4 trial protocol. When the procedure is completed, post-PCI FFR will be measured. All patients will be followed in hospital, at 30 days (±15 days), 12 months (±1 month) and yearly until 5 year.
