Usnoflast Neuromuscular Investigation for Treatment Efficacy in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
NCT06902558
Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD) is the most common genetic cause of kidney disease that causes fluid-filled cysts to develop in the kidneys. The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of ABBV-CLS-628 for the treatment of ADPKD in adult participants. ABBV-CLS-628 is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of ADPKD. Participants are placed in 1 of 4 groups, called treatment arms. Each group receives a different treatment. There is a 1 in 4 chance that participants will be assigned to placebo. Around 240 adult participants with ADPKD will be enrolled at approximately 100 sites worldwide. Participants will receive IntraVenous ABBV-CLS-628 or placebo every 4 weeks for 92 weeks. Participants will be followed for up to 15 weeks. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care . Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, blood tests, checking for side effects and completing questionnaires.
NCT04253184
Medtronic is sponsoring the Micra AV Registry using the Micra AV system for continued surveillance of chronic atrioventricular synchronous pacing as intended, through the collection of data based on routine clinical care practice, following commercial release. NCT05763602
The purpose of this study is to see whether applying povidone iodine (PVI) to the noses of patients undergoing lower extremity (leg, ankle, or foot) orthopedic fixation procedures of high-energy lower extremity fractures (HELEF) will decrease the patients' risk of surgical site infections (SSI), particularly those caused by Staphylococcus aureus.
NCT04644029
This study will evaluate whether oral islatravir (ISL) is effective in preventing Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1 (HIV-1) infection in women at high-risk for HIV-1 infection. The study will compare oral ISL taken once a month with standard-of-care medication for prevention of HIV-1 infection, emtricitabine/tenofovir disoproxil (FTC/TDF), taken once per day. The primary hypothesis is that oral ISL is more effective than FTC/TDF at reducing the incidence rate per year of confirmed HIV-1 infections.
NCT07223684
This study is following adult patients with serious burn injuries to better understand how their bodies respond to treatment and recovery. Researchers will collect small amounts of blood and tissue samples, along with information already recorded in the medical record, such as vital signs, lab results, and details of surgeries or complications. The goal is to identify patterns that may help predict who is at higher risk for infections or other problems after a burn injury. This information could lead to new tools, including computer-based models, to improve burn care and outcomes in the future. Participation involves providing samples and allowing researchers to review medical records during the hospital stay and up to one year after discharge.
NCT03635567
The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of pembrolizumab (MK-3475) plus one of four platinum-based chemotherapy regimens compared to the efficacy and safety of placebo plus one of four platinum-based chemotherapy regimens in the treatment of adult women with persistent, recurrent, or metastatic cervical cancer. Possible chemotherapy regimens include: paclitaxel plus cisplatin with or without bevacizumab and paclitaxel plus carboplatin with or without bevacizumab. The primary study hypotheses are that the combination of pembrolizumab plus chemotherapy is superior to placebo plus chemotherapy with respect to: 1) Progression-free Survival (PFS) per Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST 1.1) as assessed by the Investigator, or, 2) Overall Survival (OS).
NCT05892718
The purpose of this study is to find out whether IV injection of HCB101 is an effective treatment for different types of advanced solid tumors or relapsed and refractory non-Hodgkin lymphoma and what side effects (unwanted effects) may occur in subjects aged 18 years old and above.
NCT03260023
The study will consist of two parts : In the phase Ib: safety will be assessed in consecutive cohorts of 3 to 6 participants at increasing doses of TG4001 in combination with avelumab according to a 3+3 design. There will be no intra-participant dose escalation. In the phase II part 1, evaluation of efficacy and further evaluation of safety of the combination of TG4001 and avelumab will be performed in a single arm of participants with recurrent or metastatic HPV-16 positive advanced malignancies. In the phase II part 2, evaluation of efficacy of the combination of TG4001 and avelumab will be performed in a randomized, open-label controlled study comparing TG4001 in combination with avelumab to avelumab alone in participants with HPV-16 positive advanced malignancies. In both phases, evaluation of tumor response will be done locally according to RECIST 1.1. All participants will be followed up until disease progression, death, or unacceptable toxicity, or study withdrawal for any reason, whichever occurs first.
NCT03146078
The overall goal of this project funded by the Foundation Fighting Blindness is to characterize the natural history of disease progression in patients with USH2A related retinal degeneration associated with congenital hearing loss (Usher syndrome type 2a) or non-syndromic retinitis pigmentosa (RP39). RUSH2A Extension Study: The purpose of this addendum is to extend RUSH2A to 7- and 9-year visits, with the goal to use longer term data to further develop and support early candidate endpoints as possible clinical trial outcomes.
NCT04729114
Medicines that reduce the amount of testosterone in the body are commonly used to treat prostate cancer. PRL-02 depot is a potential treatment for men with advanced prostate cancer. It is given by an injection into the muscle. Men with advanced prostate cancer can take part in this study. Their cancer has come back after previous cancer treatment, or the previous cancer treatment they had didn't work. The main aims of the study are: * to check the safety of PRL-02 depot given with and without another medicine called enzalutamide. * to check if the men can tolerate PRL-02 depot given with or without enzalutamide. * to find a suitable dose of PRL-02 depot. This study will be in 2 parts. In the first part, different small groups of men will receive lower to higher doses of PRL-02 depot together with other medicines. In the second part of the study, men who have previously taken a hormone therapy called abiraterone acetate or have previously taken 1 specific hormone therapy as part of their prostate cancer treatment can take part. Men in both parts of the study will receive injections of PRL-02 depot into a muscle once every 12 weeks. They will also take dexamethasone or prednisone, or enzalutamide once a day. The other medicines they take depend on which group and which part of the study they are in. During the study, the men will visit the clinic several times for health checks and scans. After the final visit, men whose cancer has not become worse will continue to have health checks and scans every few months.

NCT05662319
This is a multicenter, multinational, open-label, one-way cross-over, Phase 3, single-arm study for treatment of hemophilia. The purpose of this study is to measure the frequency of treated bleeding episodes with fitusiran in male adult and adolescent (≥12 years old) participants with hemophilia A or B, with or without inhibitory antibodies to factor VIII or IX who have switched from their prior standard of care treatment. The total study duration will be up to approximately 50 months (200 weeks, 1 study month is equivalent to 4 weeks) and will include: * A screening period up to approximately 60 days, * A standard of care (SOC) period of approximately 6 study months (24 weeks), * A fitusiran treatment period of approximately 36 study months (144 weeks), * An antithrombin (AT) follow-up period of approximately 6 study months (24 weeks) but may be shorter or longer depending on individual participants AT recovery. The frequency for telephone visits will be approximately every 2 weeks. For site visits the frequency will be approximately every 8 weeks during the SOC period and approximately every 4 weeks during the fitusiran treatment period. If applicable and if allowed by local regulation, home and/or remote visits may be conducted during the study
