NCT00307047
The purpose of the SPIRIT IV Clinical Trial is to continue to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the XIENCE V® Everolimus Eluting Coronary Stent System (XIENCE V®). The XIENCE V® arm will be compared to an active control, represented by the FDA-approved TAXUS® EXPRESS2™ Paclitaxel-Eluting Coronary Stent System (TAXUS®), commercially available from Boston Scientific. TAXUS® EXPRESS2™ Paclitaxel Eluting Coronary Stent System is manufactured by Boston Scientific.
NCT00658008
This is a 10-week trial that evaluates the efficacy and safety of PD 0332334 in subjects, ages from 18 to 65, with generalized anxiety disorder.
NCT00193453
This purpose of this study is to evaluate the role of gemcitabine and docetaxel, a well tolerated chemotherapy regimen in the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), in combination with a novel agent cetuximab.
NCT00709826
This study will compare the anti-tumor efficacy of apricoxib and gemcitabine/erlotinib with placebo and gemcitabine/erlotinib in patients with advanced pancreatic cancer.
NCT01197391
This study will test the safety and tolerability (how the body reacts to the drug) of REGN728 compared with placebo (an inactive substance that contains no medicine) in healthy subjects. The study drug and placebo will be administered by subcutaneous injection (under the skin) at the clinic visit. There will be 14 clinic visits, which will include 4 overnight stays. Subjects will be monitored by the study staff for side effects and the body's response to the study drug. Vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, breathing and heart rate) will be checked, blood and urine samples will be collected at some or all visits.
NCT01582282
A double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, multi-dose clinical study consisting of 2 phases; 1) an 8-week lead-in period during which patients followed a diet judged to be within the acceptable guidelines of the ADA, and 2) a 12-week treatment period, at the beginning of which, Subjects are randomly assigned to 1 of the 3 treatment groups: placebo, 3.4 g psyllium BID for a total of 6.8 g/day (10.4g Metamucil) or 6.8g psyllium BID for a total of 13.6 g/day (20.8g Metamucil). For 12 weeks, Subjects took Metamucil or the fiber-free placebo BID, just prior to breakfast and dinner. Patients visited the clinic 10 times during the 20-week period at Screening, Weeks -8, -6, -4, 0, Day 3, and Weeks 2, 4, 8 and 12, fasting at least 12 hours prior to each visit where a blood sample was taken (all visits except Week -6 and Day 3) for analysis of fasting serum glucose and lipid levels, and HbA1c. Clinical chemistry, hematology and urinalysis were done at Weeks -8, 0 and 12. The completed 7-day food diaries were reviewed by the study dietician at each visit and discussed with the patient to ensure compliance with the recommended diet and the patients' body weights were recorded
NCT00016601
The purpose of this study is to look at the level of depo-medroxyprogesterone acetate (DMPA or Depo-Provera) in the blood to see if is affected by certain anti-HIV drugs (nelfinavir \[NFV\], efavirenz \[EFV\], indinavir \[IDV\] in combination with ritonavir \[RTV\], and nevirapine \[NVP\]). This study will also look at the levels of these anti-HIV drugs to see if they are affected by DMPA. DMPA is a hormonal birth control method that is given as an injection. It is not known if taking DMPA together with anti-HIV drugs changes the amount of DMPA and/or the amount of anti-HIV drugs in the blood. If higher levels of DMPA occur, side effects may increase. If lower levels of anti-HIV drugs occur, the drugs may become less effective against HIV. This study will look at the levels of anti-HIV drugs and DMPA in the blood when these medications are used together.
NCT00586326
This study has been designed to compile information on the efficacy of the MammoSite RTS providing sole radiation therapy for patients with pure DCIS.
NCT00085501
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel and carboplatin, work in different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Monoclonal antibodies such as cetuximab can locate tumor cells and either kill them or deliver tumor-killing substances to them without harming normal cells. Combining more than one chemotherapy drug with a monoclonal antibody may kill more tumor cells. It is not yet known whether cetuximab is more effective when given at the same time as chemotherapy or following chemotherapy. PURPOSE: This randomized phase II trial is studying how well giving cetuximab at the same time as combination chemotherapy works compared to giving cetuximab after combination chemotherapy in treating patients with stage IIIB or stage IV non-small cell lung cancer.
NCT00265785
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as pemetrexed disodium, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Pemetrexed disodium may also stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well pemetrexed disodium works in treating patients with stage III or stage IV non-small cell lung cancer.
