This study in patients with IBS-C is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group clinical trial with 12 weeks of study drug therapy.
NCT01885208
This trial is conducted in Europe and North and South America. The aim of the trial is to investigate the efficacy and safety of semaglutide once-weekly versus exenatide ER (extended release) 2.0 mg once-weekly as add-on to 1-2 oral antidiabetic drugs (OADs) in subjects with type 2 diabetes.
NCT03048955
PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this study is to demonstrate that the Composite Clinical Success of the study group receiving the Superion® IDS is not inferior to the success rate observed in the study group treated by direct decompression at 60 months follow-up. Secondarily, the trial is intended to establish that Composite Clinical Success of the study group receiving the Superion® IDS at 24 months is not inferior to the success rate observed at 24 months in patients treated with the Superion® IDS in the original IDE trial. Thirdly, the trial is intended to establish that Composite Clinical Success of the population receiving the Superion® IDS in this trial at 24 months is not inferior to the success rate observed at 24 months in patients treated with direct decompression.
NCT01059539
The objective of this study is to evaluate the long-term safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of cariprazine in patients with bipolar I disorder.
NCT02335307
This study will examine the effect of having genotype information on pain management and pain control for patients treated in family medicine clinics. This study will also examine physician-perceived usefulness of genotype information. Patients will be enrolled from family medicine clinics serving as either implementation sites or control sites. Patients from implementation sites will undergo genotyping, while those from control sites will not by genotyped.
NCT00958334
ZPU-003 EXT is a 2-year extension study of ZPU-003 (NCT00882258) to determine the continued safety and efficacy of Proellex in women who have previously completed the double-blind portion of the study.
NCT00262730
RATIONALE: Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as temozolomide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Biological therapies, such as poly ICLC, may stimulate the immune system in different ways and stop tumor cells from growing. Giving poly ICLC after radiation therapy and temozolomide may stop any remaining tumor cells from growing. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving radiation therapy together with temozolomide followed by temozolomide and poly ICLC works in treating patients with newly diagnosed glioblastoma multiforme.
NCT02239640
The purpose of this registry is to assess clinical outcomes, and different factors that may affect these clinical outcomes such as systems of care, associated with the use of Covidien market-released neurothrombectomy devices intended to restore blood flow in patients experiencing acute ischemic stroke due to large intracranial vessel occlusion.
NCT01854918
This study will contribute to the evaluation of long-term safety, tolerability and efficacy of evolocumab (AMG 145) in adults with hyperlipidemia and adults with mixed dyslipidemia.
NCT02559570
The purpose of this study was to evaluate dose response of the safety and efficacy of linaclotide for the treatment of functional constipation (FC), in children age 6-17 years. This study includes up to a 4-week Screening Period, and a 2 to 3-week Pretreatment Period. Participants age 6-11 years will receive oral liquid formulation and participants 12-17 years will receive solid oral capsule or liquid oral solution. Children ages 6-11 years meeting the entry criteria will be randomized to 1 of 3 doses of linaclotide or placebo for 4 weeks. Children ages 12-17 years meeting the entry criteria will be randomized to 1 of 4 doses of linaclotide or placebo for 4 weeks. This 4-week study will assess the effects of linaclotide on bowel movement frequency, as well as other bowel symptoms of FC.
NCT01513473
This trial is conducted in Africa, Asia, Europe and the United States of America (USA). The aim of this trial is to investigate the efficacy and safety of insulin degludec in children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus.
NCT00385255
The current study will provide information for the use of Boostrix concomitantly with influenza vaccine in adults aged 19-64 years. This study will also provide safety and immunogenicity data in a cohort of adults aged greater than or equal to 65 years.
NCT02991430
This study will assess the efficacy of a neuromodulation device for the treatment of episodic migraine headache.
NCT01920477
Pemphigus vulgaris (PV) is a rare, chronic, debilitating, and potentially life-threatening autoimmune disorder that is characterized by mucocutaneous blisters. Ofatumumab is a novel monoclonal antibody (mAb) that specifically binds to the human CD20 antigen, which is expressed only in B lymphocytes. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy, tolerability, and safety of ofatumumab injection for subcutaneous use (ofatumumab SC) 20 milligrams (mg) administered once in every 4 weeks, (with an additional 20 mg loading dose \[i.e. 40 mg total\] at both Week 0 and Week 4) in subjects with PV. It was anticipated that with sustained B-cell depletion in the presence of ofatumumab SC, and the resultant reduction of pathogenic anti Dsg (desmoglein) autoantibodies in PV, that clinical remission of the disease would result.
NCT01763918
The primary objective was to evaluate the effect of 12 weeks of evolocumab subcutaneously once every 2 weeks (Q2W) and once monthly (QM), compared with placebo, on percent change from baseline in low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) in adults with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HeFH).
NCT00651573
The primary purpose of this study is to determine the best blood level to begin transfusing red blood cells in individuals undergoing cardiac surgery. The secondary aim is to determine the impact of red cell transfusion on health-related quality of life following surgery.
NCT03642847
This Phase 1b will describe the safety and immunogenicity of 2 multivalent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine formulations in healthy Japanese adults in the United States.
NCT01483560
The trial is conducted in the United Kingdom (UK), Australia, Canada, Denmark and the Netherlands. The aim is to test whether 3 years treatment with metformin added to titrated insulin therapy (towards target HbA1c 7.0%/53 mmol/mol) reduces atherosclerosis, as measured by progression of carotid intima-media thickness (cIMT), in adults with confirmed type 1 diabetes aged 40 years and over at increased risk for cardiovascular disease.
