NCT03515044
Study to Assess the Efficacy and Safety of Rifaximin Soluble Solid Dispersion (SSD) Tablets Plus Lactulose for the Treatment of Overt Hepatic Encephalopathy (OHE).
NCT03542760
This prospective, observational registry aims to collect real-world data regarding the safety and efficacy of ProvayBlue® (methylene blue 0.5%) used according to normal standard of care for the treatment of acquired methemoglobinemia. Methylene blue has been used for decades as a rescue medication for the treatment of methemoglobinemia, a rare and potentially life-threatening condition in which elevated levels of methemoglobin impede the delivery of oxygen from blood to body tissues. However, consistent prospective data about the safety and efficacy of this medication are sparse, simply because of the rarity of the disorder. ProvayBlue® received accelerated FDA approval for treatment of acquired methemoglobinemia in 2016. This large, prospective, multi-center observational registry has been initiated to gain more information on the use of methylene blue in the treatment of acquired methemoglobinemia.
NCT04877847
Multi-center randomized trial to assess the safety and performance of low-frequency therapeutic ultrasound for maintaining renal function after contrast exposure.
NCT04001803
Chronic human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection in adults continues to be characterized by increased development of resistant virus, increased transmission of resistant virus and issues associated with the long-term toxicity of anti-retroviral therapy (ART), despite advances in development of new ART, which provides extensive insight in management of HIV-infected individuals. Cabotegravir (CAB) is a potent integrase inhibitor (INI) and rilpivirine (RPV) is a potent non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI). A two-drug regimen (DR)with CAB plus RPV long acting (LA) product offers many potential advantages over daily oral regimens including better tolerability, improved compliance, adherence, less likely to develop resistance, and overall treatment satisfaction in virologically suppressed subjects. This is a single-arm, open-label, multicenter, short term facilitation study to evaluate the effect of an implementation strategy on the degree of acceptability, appropriateness, feasibility, fidelity and sustainability of clinical practices to deliver the CAB+RPV LA regimen to HIV infected subjects and to also measure subject satisfaction by recording timeliness of visits, length of visit and their education. Approximately 135 subjects will be enrolled in the study and the total duration of the study will be approximately 52-weeks.

NCT00084422
RATIONALE: CEP-701 may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking the enzymes necessary for their growth. PURPOSE: This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of CEP-701 in treating young patients with recurrent or refractory high-risk neuroblastoma.
NCT01668953
"Tennis elbow" is the most common cause of lateral elbow pain, generally caused by either work or sports related repetitive strain. In this condition, a tendon along the outside of the elbow becomes inflamed leading to pain, especially with flexing and extending the elbow. Many treatments have been attempted, including physiotherapy and steroids, with little success. One treatment which has been very effective is the injection of the patients own blood (taken from their other non-affected arm) into their abnormal tendon. The blood recruits the patients own healing factors and heals the damaged tendon. As platelets are thought to be largely responsible, injection of concentrated platelets, extracted from the patient's blood (platelet rich plasma) is a newer, but expensive, technique. At this point, it is unclear whether whole blood, concentrated platelets, or simply passing a ultrasound-guided needle through the abnormal tendon as a means to stimulate tissue healing (tendon fenestration) is the better treatment. The objective of this trial is to compare platelet rich plasma, whole blood, dry needle tendon fenestration, and sham injection (with physical therapy) to identify the best and most cost-effective therapy for this debilitating condition.
NCT00885326
RATIONALE: Monoclonal antibodies, such as bevacizumab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cyclophosphamide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Zoledronic acid may stop the growth of tumor cells in bone. Giving bevacizumab together with cyclophosphamide and zoledronic acid may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase I trial is studying the side effects of giving bevacizumab together with cyclophosphamide and zoledronic acid in treating patients with recurrent or refractory high-risk neuroblastoma.
NCT01794520
The Phase 1 primary objectives of this study were to assess the safety profile, characterize pharmacokinetics (PK) and determine the dosing schedule, maximum tolerated dose (MTD), and recommended Phase 2 dose (RPTD) of ABT-199 (venetoclax) when administered in participants with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. This study also assessed the safety profile and PK of venetoclax in combination with dexamethasone in participants with t(11;14)-positive multiple myeloma. The Phase 2 primary objective was to further evaluate the objective response rate (ORR) and very good partial response or better rate (VGPR+) in participants with t(11;14)-positive multiple myeloma.
NCT03461406
The objective of the study is to evaluate if FS Grifols is non-inferior to EVICEL® in terms of the percentage of participants achieving hemostasis at the target bleeding site (TBS) by 4 minutes (T4) from the start of treatment application (TStart) with no occurrence of rebleeding until the completion of the surgical closure by layers of the exposed surgical field containing the TBS (TClosure).
NCT03959683
The purpose of this study is to measure how well two different devices work to break up and remove kidney stones. We are comparing a newer device to an older one to see which one is faster at breaking up kidney stones. We hypothesize that the Trilogy will increase the stone clearance rate by 25% compared to the Shockpulse-SE
NCT00005835
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining chemotherapy with bone marrow or peripheral stem cell transplantation may allow the doctor to give higher doses of chemotherapy drugs and kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of melphalan and buthionine sulfoximine followed by bone marrow or peripheral stem cell transplantation in treating children who have resistant or recurrent neuroblastoma.
NCT03094832

NCT05558085
The goal of this integrated project is to assess whether EFNEP is a cost-effective nutrition education intervention that generates sustained improvement in chronic disease biomarkers. This project will be unique in its use of objective biomarkers, instead of self-reported behaviors, to quantify the economic benefits generated by EFNEP through chronic disease prevention. A paired location untreated control group quasi-experimental design will be employed, with biomarkers (BMI, blood pressure, HbA1c) measured for 500 adults across four representative state EFNEP programs (CO, FL, MD, WA). Biomarkers will be measured pre-EFNEP, 6-months-post-EFNEP and 1-year-post-EFNEP. Analytical techniques will include cost-benefit, bivariate, and multivariate analyses.
