NCT00004867
RATIONALE: Imaging procedures such as positron emission tomography may improve the ability to determine the stage of esophageal cancer. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying how well fludeoxyglucose F 18 positron emission tomography determines tumor stage in patients with esophageal cancer.
NCT01837667
The purpose of this study is to test the safety of an investigational drug called LB-100 for Injection for treatment of solid tumors, when given with or without docetaxel. LB-100 is a small molecule that in laboratory and animal studies has shown activity when used by itself or together with drugs approved to treat some types of cancer (chemotherapeutic agents). Docetaxel is a drug that has been approved for the treatment of some types of cancer; one of the trade names for docetaxel is Taxotere®. The study is in 2 parts. Part 1: Patients will receive injections of LB-100. Part 2: Patients will receive injections of LB-100 and docetaxel. This is the first study where LB-100 for Injection will be used in humans.
NCT01808131
This study will assess the serum uric acid lowering effects and safety of lesinurad in combination with allopurinol over a long-term timeframe.
NCT00197262
Allergic rhinitis is an inflammatory disorder of the upper airway that occurs following allergen exposure. The focus of this study, seasonal allergic rhinitis (SAR), is one type of allergic rhinitis that is triggered by the pollen from trees, grasses, and weeds. Commonly referred to as (hay fever), it is characterized by sneezing, nasal congestion and pruritus, rhinorrhea, and pruritic, watery, red eyes. The primary objective of this study is to compare the efficacy and safety of GW685698X 100mcg once daily (QD) aqueous nasal spray with vehicle placebo nasal spray in adult and adolescent subjects (12 years of age and older) with seasonal allergic rhinitis (SAR) caused by ragweed pollen.
NCT00095173
The primary purpose of the clinical research study is to assess the safety of treating children and juvenile subjects with BMS-188667 (Abatacept). In addition, the study will assess the effectiveness of BMS-188667 in reducing disease activity of Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA) or Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) as measured by the time to occurrence of disease flare.
NCT00102765
This study will last up to 62 weeks. You will visit the clinic up to 17 times. Certain clinic visits will include physical examination, medical history review and lung function tests. The purpose of this study is to see if one asthma drug (fluticasone propionate/salmeterol) is better in reducing the number of asthma exacerbations compared with another drug (fluticasone propionate alone)
NCT00363727
This study evaluates how effective a new formulation of a marketed drug is in increasing the time to onset of dyskinesia (abnormal twisting, writhing movements) in patients with Parkinson's Disease who have been taking levodopa for less than 2 years.
NCT02107196
Irritable Bowel Syndrome with diarrhoea (IBS-D) is a functional gastrointestinal disorder characterised by chronic or recurrent abdominal pain or discomfort and diarrhoea. This trial aims at the evaluation of the efficacy and safety of oral ibodutant 10 mg once daily as compared to placebo in women with IBS-D over a 12-week treatment period.
NCT00268216
The purpose of this study is to see if fluticasone 500mcg/salmeterol 50mcg can improve the survival of subjects with COPD and also assess the long term safety profile of this drug.
NCT00108914
The purpose of this study is to determine if the investigational drug is effective and safe in children with perennial allergic rhinitis.
NCT00082940
RATIONALE: Biological therapies, such as denileukin diftitox, may interfere with the growth of cancer cells and slow the growth of chronic lymphocytic leukemia. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well denileukin diftitox works in treating patients with fludarabine-refractory B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
NCT00108095
This study is looking at a range of doses of this NK-1 receptor antagonist drug, for both safety and effectiveness in prevention PONV
NCT02794467
The primary objective of the study is to assess the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of epelsiban compared with placebo in treatment of women with adenomyosis. This is a 12-week, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel group study with an interim futility analysis. Subjects will be randomized 1:1:1 to receive 75 milligrams (mg) of epelsiban three times daily (TID), 200 mg of epelsiban TID, or placebo TID. The study will be composed of three periods: screening, treatment, and follow-up and the total time a subject will be in the study will be approximately 6 months.
NCT02100475
This trial is conducted globally. The aim of the trial is to compare sequential addition of insulin aspart versus further dose increase with insulin degludec/liraglutide in subjects with type 2 diabetes mellitus, previously treated with insulin degludec/liraglutide and metformin and in need of further intensification. This is an extension to trial NN9068-3952, NCT01952145 (DUAL™ V).
NCT02074007
Children ages 2 months to less than 19 years old, who have been diagnosed with a middle ear infection may receive either medicated ear drops (AR01) or glycerin (placebo) ear drops. The patient or caregiver will measure the amount of ear pain before and after the ear drops to establish if the medicated ear drops decrease the amount of pain more than the placebo ear drops. The subject may leave the clinic 60 minutes after the first dose. The ear drops can be used up to 4 days, as needed for ear pain.
NCT00036478
The purpose of this study is to see if magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) can be used to detect damage to the mitochondria in HIV-infected patients taking nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI) drugs. HIV-infected patients taking NRTI drugs may have an increase in a chemical in their blood called lactate. High lactate levels may damage the energy source of the cell (mitochondria). Damage to mitochondria may cause lactic acidosis, liver failure, and other problems. It is important to find effective ways to see if the mitochondria of HIV-infected patients have been damaged. This study will see if MRS can be used to determine mitochondrial damage.
NCT01557348
This multicenter, prospective, observational study will assess the efficacy of MabThera/Rituxan (rituximab) and alternative TNF-inhibitors in patients with rheumatoid arthritis who are non-responders or intolerant to a single previous TNF-inhibitor. Data will be collected from each patient from the time of change in biologic therapy for 12 months.
