NCT02669433
This study seeks to evaluate the efficacy and safety of intepirdine (RVT-101) in patients with dementia with Lewy bodies.
NCT01467076
This is a randomized controlled trial (RCT) on the use of Inhaled prostaglandin E1 (IPGE1) in Neonatal Hypoxemic Respiratory Failure (NHRF). Fifty patients recruited at 10 high volume sites within the NICHD Neonatal Research Network will constitute a pilot sample to evaluate the feasibility and safety of prolonged IPGE1 administration and determination of optimal dose. In this Pilot RCT, two doses of IPGE1 (300 and 150 ng/kg/min) will be administered over a maximum duration of 72 hours and compared with placebo. Once feasibility and safety of IPGE1 administered over 72 hours has been demonstrated in the pilot trial, a full scale randomized controlled trial will be planned.
NCT00397579
RATIONALE: Combinations of biological substances in DT388IL3 fusion protein may be able to carry cancer killing substances directly to the cancer cells. PURPOSE: This phase I/II trial is studying the side effects and best dose of DT388IL3 fusion protein and to see how well it works in treating patients with acute myeloid leukemia or myelodysplastic syndromes.
NCT00690274
To evaluate the cognitive enhancing effect of BF2.649 and to evaluate the effect of BF2.649 on symptom severity in persons with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder.
NCT01264718
The Kids' HELP trial rigorously documented that a Parent Mentor intervention results in multiple benefits: more children are insured faster, children's access to healthcare and parental satisfaction improve, quality of well-child care is enhanced, thousands of dollars are saved per child, jobs are created, disparities are eliminated, and the intervention potentially could save our nation billions of dollars.
NCT01768637
Higher coronary in-stent thromboses and bleeding complications on anti-platelet agents are more common in Chronic Kidney Disease vs. non-Chronic Kidney Disease patients. Poor inhibition of platelet aggregation by anti-platelet agents predicts future cardiovascular events. Clinical practice guidelines are ambiguous about the use of these agents in Chronic Kidney Disease due to lack of controlled studies. The investigators hypothesize that patients with Chronic Kidney Disease compared with non-Chronic Kidney Disease have reduced platelet aggregation and poor platelet inhibitory response to aspirin. The aims are to 1) define the range of whole blood platelet aggregation in stages 3-5 Chronic Kidney Disease patients; 2) investigate whether patients with stages 4-5 Chronic Kidney Disease vs. non-Chronic Kidney Disease have lower platelet aggregation or impaired von Willebrand Factor activity; and 3) compare inhibition of platelet aggregation from baseline after 2 weeks of aspirin therapy and another 2 weeks of clopidogrel therapy added to aspirin in Chronic Kidney Disease vs. non-Chronic Kidney Disease patients. Accomplishing these aims will provide pilot data to power future studies of targeted anti-platelet agent treatments in Chronic Kidney Disease in order to improve cardiovascular outcomes.
NCT03719742
A Clinical Study to Evaluate the Safety and Efficacy of a Baby Cleanser and a Moisturizer Under the Supervision of Dermatologist and Pediatrician
NCT01492400
This study will compare the safety and efficacy of the 700 ug dexamethasone intravitreal implant with ranibizumab 0.5 mg intravitreal injections in patients with diabetic macular edema (DME).
NCT03246399
SM04690-DDD-01 is a Phase 1, open-label, dose escalation study. SM04690 Injectable Suspension will be administered via a single intradiscal injection to subjects with degenerative disc disease (DDD) under fluoroscopic guidance. Groups of 6 subjects will be enrolled in successive cohorts. Subjects will participate in a 6 month follow-up period. Clinic visits will be Screening, Treatment Visit Day 1, and Follow-up Visit Days 2, 15, 28, 60, 90, 135, and 180.
NCT01877811
This is a first-in-human, multicenter, open-label study consisting of 2 phases. Phase 1 is a dose escalation study of RXDX-105 (formerly known as CEP-32496) in patients with advanced solid tumors aimed at defining the recommended Phase 2 dose (RP2D) and schedule for administration. Phase 1b is a dose expansion in approximately 90 patients with advanced solid tumors with specific histologies and/or molecular alterations of interest. Patients in Phase 1b will be treated at the RP2D determined in Phase 1.
NCT01249625
Despite widespread use of respiratory protective equipment in the U.S. healthcare workplace, there is very little clinical evidence that respirators prevent healthcare personnel (HCP) from airborne infectious diseases. Scientific investigation of this issue has been quite complicated, primarily because the use of respirators has become "the standard of care" for protection against airborne diseases in some instances, even without sufficient evidence to support their use. The key question remains: How well do respirators prevent airborne infectious diseases? The answer to this important question has important medical, public health, political and economic implications.
NCT02021929
The main purpose of this clinical trial is to determine the safety and effects of the study drug, sorafenib, in adults diagnosed with hepatopulmonary syndrome (HPS). The study will evaluate how well the drug is tolerated and its effect on the level of oxygen in the blood and the function of the lung vessels.
NCT00131469
The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of teriparatide (FORTEO), which is human parathyroid hormone 1-34, for increasing bone mass and improving bone structure in adults affected with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI).
NCT01994889
This Phase 3 study will investigate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of an oral daily dose of 20 mg or 80 mg tafamidis meglumine capsules compared to placebo in subjects with either transthyretin genetic variants or wild-type transthyretin resulting in amyloid cardiomyopathy.
NCT01211873
The purpose of this study is to look at the safety (what are the side effects)and efficacy (how well does it work) of Dotarem® when used in taking images of the brain / spine. The results will be compared to the results of MRI taken without Dotarem.
NCT01497730
This post-marketing investigation will evaluate the functional knee performance of Subjects who have undergone primary total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Data from Subjects who receive one of four contemporary knee configurations from different manufacturers will be pooled to establish a contemporary dataset. The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the functional performance as measured by the activities of daily living (ADL) sub-score of the Knee Osteoarthritis Outcomes Score (KOOS) patient-reported outcome (PRO) questionnaire of primary TKA at minimum one year post-operation. This will be carried out for all four implant configurations. The final endpoint is a 2-year evaluation.

NCT00595088
This study is designed to assess the efficacy and safety of DTA-H19/PEI given as six intravesical instillations of 20 mg of plasmid DNA complexed with PEI into the bladder of patients with intermediate risk superficial bladder cancer \[recurrent stages Ta (low or high grade)and T1, (low grade) transitional cell carcinoma (TCC)\] who have failed prior intravesical therapies including either Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) or chemotherapy. The primary efficacy objective is to determine the effect of DTA-H19/PEI on the prevention of new tumors after the induction course of 6 weekly intravesical administrations of investigational product assessed 8 to 10 weeks after the start of treatment. Secondary objectives include assessing the ablative effect of DTA-H19/PEI on a marker tumor, safety assessed by the incidence and severity of adverse events, determining the long-term (46 weeks) continued rates of absence of bladder cancer, and time to tumor recurrence in those patients who had a complete response (CR) after the induction course.
