NCT05318092
To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of percutaneous mechanical aspiration thrombectomy using the AlphaVac Multipurpose Mechanical Aspiration (MMA) F1885 PE in a prospective trial of patients with acute intermediate-risk pulmonary embolism (PE).
NCT01029353
This study will compare the effectiveness of two surgical procedures -laparotomy versus drainage - commonly used to treat necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) or isolated intestinal perforations (IP) in extremely low birth weight infants (≤1,000 g). Infants diagnosed with NEC or IP requiring surgical intervention, will be recruited. Subjects will be randomized to receive either a laparotomy or peritoneal drainage. Primary outcome is impairment-free survival at 18-22 months corrected age.
NCT03696277
Metastatic kidney cancer patients on systemic therapy often develop resistance to limited sites that leads to changing of the systemic therapy. Local therapy to the sites of progression may allow patients to continue on the same systemic therapy that is otherwise effective and being tolerated well. Hypothesis: Stereotactic ablative radiation (SAbR) can delay the change of systemic therapy with oligoprogressive renal cell cancer (RCC) and improve progression free survival (PFS). Primary Objectives: • To evaluate the benefit of SAbR for oligo-progressive mRCC (Metastatic Renal Cell Cancer). Secondary Objectives: • To measure the toxicity, safety and tolerance of concurrent systemic therapy and SAbR for mRCC patients and its impact on quality of life.
NCT05161000
The objective of this randomized, controlled trial is to evaluate the effects of consuming a pediatric oral nutritional supplement (ONS) plus dietary counseling for 120 days on anthropometric growth, strength, and nutritional status, compared with dietary counseling alone in undernourished children in the United States.
NCT01798004
This pilot clinical trial studies busulfan, melphalan, and stem cell transplant after chemotherapy in treating patients with newly diagnosed neuroblastoma that is likely to come back or spread. Giving chemotherapy to the entire body before a stem cell transplant stops the growth of tumor cells by stopping them from dividing or killing them. After treatment, stem cells are collected from the patient's blood and stored. More chemotherapy or radiation therapy is given to prepare the bone marrow for the stem cell transplant. The stem cells are then returned to the patient to replace the blood-forming cells that were destroyed by the chemotherapy.
NCT01705977
The purpose of this study is to further enhance the existing knowledge regarding the side effects of belimumab when given with other lupus medicines to adults with active systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). This study mainly focuses on collecting information on serious events that are not that common or may only be seen with long-term treatment. These events include death, serious infections and other infections of interest, cancers, serious mental health problems, including depression and suicide, and serious infusion and hypersensitivity reactions. This study is being done to help understand if treatment with belimumab increases the risk for these types of events. This study will also see if patients receiving belimumab with other lupus medicines can reduce their use of steroids, such as prednisone, over 1 year.
NCT06512324
The goal of this observational study is to record and analyze factors putatively affecting the clinical outcomes among patients undergoing transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) treatment for major depressive disorder (MDD) or generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Which factors have the greatest causal role in mediating the effectiveness of TMS in improving symptoms of depression (and/or anxiety)? 2. Which factors have a minimal causal role in mediating the effectiveness of TMS in improving symptoms of depression (and/or anxiety)? Participants already undergoing TMS as part of their treatment plan for MDD/GAD answer survey questions about their symptoms before, during, and up to 1 year post-treatment. Factors affecting clinical outcomes such as stimulation parameters, behavioral factors, physiological factors, patient characteristics, and pharmacological factors, are also recorded.
NCT02021604
Low blood sugars are known to cause brain damage in newborn babies. One of the most common causes of low blood sugars persisting beyond the new born period is a condition called congenital hyperinsulinism (HI). This is a disease whereby the pancreas secretes too much insulin and causes low blood sugars. Twenty to forty percent of these babies will have brain damage. There are two forms of this disease. In one form only a small part of the pancreas makes too much insulin (focal HI) and in the other, the whole pancreas make too much insulin (diffuse HI). Another very similar disease is insulinoma which occurs after birth, but also causes hyperinsulinism. If a surgeon could know which part of the pancreas has the focal lesion he could remove it and cure the patient. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether a new investigational drug called Fluorodopa F 18, when used with a PET scan, can find the focal lesion and guide the surgeon to remove it, thus curing the patient and preventing further brain damage.
NCT03722589
This randomized, open-label trial will assess humoral and cell-mediated immune responses to cell culture-based and recombinant unadjuvanted quadrivalent influenza vaccines compared to conventional egg-based unadjuvanted quadrivalent standard dose (15µg of HA per strain) influenza vaccines among persons aged 18-64 years. The trial will be conducted at two sites in the United States during two influenza seasons (2018-19 and 2019-20). Stratified enrollment procedures will be used to enroll a mix of participants based on age.

NCT03320330
This phase I/II trial studies the side effects and best dose of pepinemab and to see how well it works in treating younger patients with solid tumors that have come back after treatment, or do not respond to treatment. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as pepinemab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread.
NCT06037031
The purpose of this study is to understand how the loss of kidney function affects study medicine (PF-07923568) in the body. People with some level of loss of kidney function may process PF-07923568 differently from healthy people. PF-07923568 is developed as a possible treatment for respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection. RSV is a common virus that affects the lungs and usually causes mild, cold-like symptoms. RSV can cause severe lung infections in infants, elderly, and adults with other serious medical conditions. This study is seeking participants who: * Have less than 25% difference in kidney function between 2 screening visits. * Meet the eGFR criteria for being assigned to groups. eGFR tells how well the kidney is filtering. * Are not on hemodialysis. Hemodialysis is a type of treatment that helps the body remove extra fluid and waste products from the blood when the kidneys are not able to. Participants will take the study medicine as capsules by mouth once at the study clinic. The participants will stay at the study clinic for about 5 days. During that time, the study team will monitor the participants. The study team will take some blood samples to test the level of PF-07923568. This will help us understand if some level of loss of kidney function will have an effect on the study medicine PF-07923568.
NCT01660451
The objective of the study (part A) is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of BAY80-6946 in patients with indolent or aggressive Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, who have progressed after standard therapy. 30 patients will be enrolled to both indolent and aggressive disease group. The objective of the study part B (CHRONOS-1) is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of BAY80-6946 in patients with relapsed/refractory follicular lymphoma. 120 patients will be enrolled in the part B of the study. Further objectives are to evaluate the pharmacokinetics and biomarkers. Quality of life will be a further objective of part B of the study. In a cohort of 20 patients (enrolled both in part A and B) an ECG substudy will be performed to assess the potential for cardiac toxicity and QT/QTc interval prolongation of BAY80-6946. After an up to 28-day screening period, eligible patients will start treatment with BAY80-6946 at a dose of 0.8 mg/kg (Part A) and at a dose of 60 mg (Part B). Treatment will be continued until disease has progressed or until another criterion is met for withdrawal from study. An end-of-treatment visit will be performed within 7 days after discontinuation of study treatment. Thirty to 35 days after last study drug administration, a safety followup visit will be performed for the collection of adverse events (AEs) and concomitant medication data. Patients will be contacted quarterly to determine overall survival status up to 4 years after last patient completed treatment. Patients who discontinue study drug for reasons other than disease progression will enter the Active Assessment Follow-up period. The end of study notification to Health Authorities will be based on the completion of the collection of survival data. The efficacy is measured by the decrease in tumor size. Tumor assessments will be done at Screening, every 8 weeks during Year 1, every 12 weeks during Year 2, and every 6 months during Year 3. Blood samples will be collected for pharmacokinetic analysis. Archival tumor tissue and blood samples will be collected for biomarker analysis (mandatory) and for central pathology review (part B), fresh biopsy tissue will also be collected if available.

NCT04591691
This is a multi-center observational cohort study of patients with diabetic foot ulcers (DFU) to develop and validate potential tissue-based biomarkers that predict complete wound healing. Eligible and consented participants will begin standard of care treatment after collection of tissue specimens from the wound's edge. An additional tissue specimen is collected at 4 weeks if clinically indicated. Tissues will be tested for c-myc and phosphorylated glucocorticoid receptor (p-GR) levels using validated protocols at a central laboratory. Participants will be followed weekly for up to 12 weeks or until complete wound healing (whichever occurs first). One final assessment 2 weeks after complete wound healing will occur to confirm healing.
NCT05107115
The first phase of this study will be a parallel, 12-week treatment, Phase 2, double-blind, 4 arm study to assess the safety and effectiveness of 3 oral doses of SAR444671 (rilzabrutinib), i.e. dose A, B and C, compared with placebo for decreasing the frequency and severity of itch and urticaria in male and female participants aged 18 years inclusive or older with CSU. After completion of the double-blind phase of the study, participants will be given the option of enrolling in the 40-week open label extension (OLE) phase of the study. Participants will receive open-label rilzabrutinib at dose C (the dose may be modified based on the 12-week safety and efficacy data). Due to the fact that some participants may be receiving rilzabrutinib for the first time, all participants will be monitored at Week 14, Week 16, Week 20, and Week 24. Afterwards, participants will be monitored at Week 36 and Week 52.
NCT06505304
This is a multicentre prospective international observational study. This study aims to introduce a novel multidimensional approach to precision imaging, enabling the identification and stratification of high-risk patients who can potentially benefit from early treatments to halt the progression of Crohn's disease (CD). The investigators will develop a novel endoscopic assessment system using endoscopic enhanced imaging (EEI) to evaluate early post-surgical changes and predict post-operative CD recurrence (POCr). By integrating with immune marker profiling, clinical data, and AI assessment of EEI and histology, the investigators further plan to improve risk stratification and reduce interobserver variability.
