The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of ACZONE™ gel compared to placebo (inactive substance), MetroGel® and a combination of ACZONE™ gel and MetroGel® for the treatment of rosacea. ACZONE™ gel, 5% is a topical (applied to the skin) medication that is approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of acne vulgaris in people 12 years and older. The use of ACZONE™ for the treatment of rosacea is investigational. An investigational use is one that is not approved by the FDA. Subjects will apply the study treatment for 12 weeks. Efficacy assessments will be performed at baseline and Weeks 2, 4, 8, and 12. Laboratory assessments will be conducted at baseline and Week, 2, 4 and 12.

This study will compare the ability of fosamprenavir 700 mg with ritonavir 100 mg twice a day or lopinavir 400 mg with ritonavir 100 mg twice a day both combined with a fixed dose combination tablet of abacavir 600 mg and lamivudine 300 mg once a day to suppress virus levels of HIV to less than 400 copies/mL of blood. In addition we will study the safety and tolerability of these compounds over the 48 week study period in patients naive to anti-HIV therapy.

This retrospective study conducted in Canada and the US involves a chart review to assess the safety of oseltamivir (Tamiflu®) compared to alternate antiviral therapy, amantidine or rimantidine, administered to children less than 12 months of age with diagnosed or suspected influenza. The objectives are to describe the frequency of neurological and all other adverse events possibly related to administration of these antivirals in these infants. Investigators will also compare frequency of adverse events at various doses of oseltamivir in these children. Critical endpoints to be collected include frequency and severity of adverse events, particularly those relating to central nervous system complications. A sub-investigator will travel to each of the participating sites to collect data related to each infant's health prior to becoming ill, health status at time of influenza diagnosis, dosing regimen, reported neurological events post-dosing, and all reported adverse events post-dosing.

The objective of this study is to demonstrate the clinical performance of the Quidel Reader Influenza A+B test and Quidel Reader with the following sample types: nasal swab, nasopharyngeal swab, and nasopharyngeal aspirate/wash. Clinical performance will be based on comparison of Quidel Reader Influenza A+B results to cell culture at a Central Reference or Alternative Laboratory.

Background: * Good measures of physical activity are needed for studies correlating physical activity and the risk of developing certain diseases. * In preparation for use in a study of diseases and risk factors in Hispanic populations, NCI is evaluating a new model accelerometer to measure physical activity. An accelerometer is a small device worn on a belt at the waist that measures and records movement, capturing movement intensity and duration and associating it with clock-time. * The new accelerometer (ActiGraph GTIM) uses a different type of motion detector from that used in the previous model (ActiGraph 7164). Objective: To evaluate and compare the ActiGraph GTIM with the ActiGraph 7164 by collecting physical activity data using both models. Eligibility: Men and women 18-74 years of age. Design: Study participants wear both model accelerometers while they walk or jog around a track at several self-selected paces. Data from the two devices are compared.

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy such as cyclophosphamide and dexamethasone work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Bortezomib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving cyclophosphamide and dexamethasone together with bortezomib may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying giving cyclophosphamide and dexamethasone together with bortezomib to see how well it works in treating patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma.

For the patient with acute dyspnea in the ED, early differentiation between CHF and non-CHF causes is essential for proper management. The capacity to triage patients quickly and accurately has a beneficial impact upon outcome, disposition, stratification and length of stay in the ED and required length of hospital admission. The ability to assess pulmonary status rapidly by quantitative regional vibration technology offers significant potential advantage for earlier diagnosis. The VRI technique may provide a quick and accurate method of differentiating between dyspnea due to HF and dyspnea due to pulmonary causes; thereby improving management and outcomes.

The purpose of this study is to determine if hypertonic saline with and without dextran can improve neurologic outcomes in victims of severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). Injury and lost blood from trauma can cause your body to go into shock (low blood pressure related to blood loss). This decreased blood flow can lead to organ damage. In order to restore the blood pressure and blood flow, the medics give fluids into the patients' veins as soon as possible. This is called "resuscitation". The fluid most commonly used is "isotonic" or one that is the same salt concentration as the blood. The investigators are trying to determine if infusing a "hypertonic" fluid or one more concentrated than the blood can increase the blood pressure and restore blood flow more efficiently. The hypertonic fluids they are using are called hypertonic saline with dextran (HSD) and hypertonic saline (no dextran). Hypertonic saline is a salt solution that is slightly more concentrated than blood. Dextran is a sugar solution.

A 1-year randomized Phase III core trial (NCT00061750) using deferoxamine as the comparator was conducted to investigate the efficacy of deferasirox in regularly transfused patients with β-thalassemia 2 years of age and older. Patients who successfully completed this main trial may continue in this extension trial to receive chelation therapy with deferasirox for an additional 4 years. The objective of this study is to assess the efficacy and long-term safety of deferasirox in regularly transfused patients with β-thalassemia 2 years of age and older.
