NCT04677959
The primary objective of this study is to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Digital System (DS) in improving asthma control compared to the Standard of Care (SoC) group. The secondary objective is to describe the asthma management actions by investigational center health care providers (iHCPs) for all participants in both groups, to evaluate short-acting beta2 agonist (SABA) usage and the number of SABA-free days in the DS group, to evaluate adherence patterns to maintenance treatment (FS eMDPI) in the DS group, to assess behavioral correlates of responsiveness to digital health technology among participants for all participants in both groups, to evaluate work productivity and activity impairment in asthma participants in both groups, to assess the usability and acceptability of the DS by participants in the DS group and the investigational center personnel, and to evaluate the safety of FS eMDPI and Albuterol eMDPI.
NCT04545385
The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the effect of TEV-48574 compared with placebo on loss of asthma control (LoAC) in adult participants with T2-low and non-T2 severe asthma uncontrolled on inhaled corticosteroids plus long-acting beta-agonists (ICS+LABA). The secondary efficacy objective is to evaluate the effect of TEV-48574 compared with placebo on a range of clinical measures of asthma control. The duration of participant participation in the study is planned to be up to approximately 30 weeks.
NCT04288921
A Multicenter Study Conducted to Evaluate the Performance of the LumiraDx Influenza A/B + RSV Test at Point of Care Testing Sites
NCT02079714
The STREAM Study is a prospective longitudinal observational outcomes study that will examine the reliability, validity and responsiveness of the PROMIS tools for clinical research following orthopaedic trauma.
NCT03921229
This is a prospective, multicenter pilot study to investigate the feasibility and preliminary effectiveness of a tailored tele-coaching intervention to enhance medical adherence in patients with CF.
NCT00465517
The study will evaluate the effectiveness and safety of an investigational drug-ganaxolone - on partial seizure frequency in adults with epilepsy taking a maximum of 3 antiepileptic medications (AEDs). The study will also evaluate the effectiveness of ganaxolone in females with catamenial epilepsy. Catamenial epilepsy refers to a relationship between seizure frequency and a woman's menstrual cycle, where the number of seizures increases around the time of a woman's menstrual cycle.
NCT04452513
This is a study for adults and children ≥ 14 years old who have Phenylketonuria (PKU) with uncontrolled plasma Phe levels. No clinical intervention or study drug is provided by BioMarin in this study.
NCT05175391
To evaluate whether or not high quality protein intake from a mixed meal can be increased by using culinary herbs and spices to increase flavor intensity and food item liking in older adults.
NCT04597047
Evaluation of the agreement between fingerstick samples, venous blood, serum and plasma samples when using the LumiraDx SARS-CoV-2 Ab Test against the reference method, using standard qualitative comparison techniques.
NCT02336503
To assess the safety and efficacy of 3 doses of BBI-4000 and vehicle (4 treatment arms), when applied once a day for 4 weeks, for the treatment of axillary hyperhidrosis.
NCT03055494
This study provided a comparison of secukinumab to placebo with respect to skin inflammation as measured by skin exams in comparison to skin biopsies, adipose tissue and blood sample analyses.
NCT03948178
This study provides an opportunity for subjects in the REFALS (3119002; NCT03505021) study to continue treatment with oral levosimendan. The study will also provide more information about long-term safety and effectiveness of oral levosimendan in patients with ALS. This is an open-label study, so that all eligible subjects that complete the double-blind REFALS study (48-weeks of treatment) will have the opportunity to receive oral levosimendan treatment. The primary objective, in addition to continuing treatment for subjects enrolled in the REFALS study, is to evaluate long-term safety of oral levosimendan in ALS patients. Another important objective is to explore long-term effectiveness of oral levosimendan in the treatment of patients with ALS. This study is open only to patients taking part in the REFALS study.
NCT03503318
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of different dose regimens of TV-46000 administered subcutaneously (SC) as compared to placebo during maintenance treatment in adult and adolescent participants with schizophrenia. The study will include male and female participants, 13 to 65 years of age, who have a confirmed diagnosis of schizophrenia, are clinically stable, and are eligible for risperidone treatment
NCT04006392
The purpose of this study is to determine whether low level laser therapy is effective in the reduction of foot pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
NCT02864160
Language barriers continue to impede access to quality care for limited English proficient populations. Recent research has demonstrated that access to language concordant providers increases quality of care. This project evaluates the efficacy and acceptability of a model intervention to improve second language proficiency, patient-centered communication, and clinical competency of nurse practitioner students who care for Spanish-speaking patients with diabetes.
NCT05055024
This is a multicenter, open-label extension of the clinical study NLS-1021, evaluating long-term safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), and therapeutic response to treatment with NLS-2 in adult subjects with narcolepsy.
NCT04749355
An open label multi center study to assess the safety and efficacy of BST-236 as single agent in adult patients unfit for standard therapy with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) or higher-risk (HR) Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS) who fail to respond or relapsed following first line therapy. Approximately 20 adult patients with relapsed and/or refractory AML and approximately 20 adult patients with relapsed and/or refractory HR MDS, will be enrolled into the study. Patients will be treated with 1-2 induction courses and 2-4 maintenance courses. All patients will be followed for 1 year in the study and additional 1 year post study follow-up.
NCT04412707
This is a randomized, two-period, cross-over Phase 2 study, comparing PK, and assessing safety and tolerability and efficacy of peripheral and central intravenous administration of melflufen in patients with RRMM. It is an international study, enrolling patients in US and Europe. The study will enroll patients following at least 2 lines of prior therapy.
NCT00079417
This phase III trial is studying how well giving carboplatin and vincristine together with standard local ophthalmic therapy works in treating children with intraocular retinoblastoma. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin and vincristine, work in different ways to stop tumor from dividing so they stop growing or die. It is not yet known whether neoadjuvant chemotherapy combined with standard local ophthalmic therapy is effective in treating intraocular retinoblastoma.
NCT05747755
This study seeks to link a group of hospitals to measure and share the rates of diagnostic errors, to understand underlying causes of diagnostic errors, and develop ways that hospitals, clinicians, and patients can work together to avoid diagnostic errors and harms due to those errors. The investigators will test how data sharing and collaboration improve diagnostic processes and develop approaches which can be sustained into the future. The approach represents a novel application of rigorous outcome adjudication to the problem of inpatient diagnostic errors using a learning health system model.
