NCT04133909
This is a multi-center, randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind, parallel group study designed to confirm the benefits of mepolizumab treatment on moderate or severe exacerbations in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) participants given as an add on to their optimized maintenance COPD therapy. The maximum duration of participant participation is approximately 109 weeks, consisting of 2 screening visits (up to 3 weeks), a run-in period (up to 2 weeks), and an intervention period of at least 52 weeks and up to 104 weeks. 800 participants will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to receive mepolizumab 100 milligrams (mg) or placebo every 4 weeks for at least 13 doses (52 weeks treatment period) up to a maximum of 26 doses (104 weeks treatment period). The number of randomized participants may increase up to approximately 1400.
NCT05467176
This is a multi-center, prospective, observational study of patients being treated with ORGOVYX. The goal of this study is to generate real-world evidence about the safety and effectiveness of ORGOVYX in patients with prostate cancer in routine clinical care and the clinical course during treatment with and following cessation of ORGOVYX.
NCT05423743
The INSPIRE Abdominal Infection Trial is a cluster-randomized controlled trial of HCA Healthcare hospitals comparing routine empiric antibiotic stewardship practices with real-time, precision medicine computerized physician order entry (CPOE) smart prompts providing the probability that a non-critically ill adult admitted with abdominal infection is infected with a resistant pathogen. Note: enrolled "subjects" represent 102 individual HCA Healthcare hospitals that have been randomized into 92 clusters. Hospitals were grouped into the same randomization cluster if they shared campuses or antibiotic stewardship staff.
NCT04666129
This study is being conducted to assess the safety and tolerability of relugolix with other agents approved for use in combination with androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) for a 12-week treatment period and an additional 40-week safety extension period in men with prostate cancer, either metastatic castration-sensitive prostate cancer (mCSPC) or non-metastatic or metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (nmCRPC or mCRPC).
NCT06573983
Falls are a common occurrence among older adults, and Veterans have an even higher risk of falling compared to non-Veterans. These falls often lead to severe health consequences, including traumatic brain injuries, hip fractures, emergency visits, hospitalizations, and even death. It is crucial to prioritize fall prevention in order to reduce injuries and enable older Veterans to age comfortably at home. Although current fall prevention programs in the Veterans Health Administration primarily focus on inpatient care and nursing homes, there is a pressing need to address falls among older Veterans living independently in the community. The proposed VA-specific Fall Risk Identification and Management (FRIM) model aims to proactively prevent falls in older Veterans who receive primary care, effectively reducing the occurrence of adverse health events associated with falls. By placing emphasis on prevention rather than reacting after falls have already happened, this initiative seeks to significantly enhance the overall well-being of older Veterans.
NCT01149083
This phase II trial studies how well veliparib with or without carboplatin works in treating patients with stage III or IV breast cancer. Veliparib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. It is not yet known whether veliparib is more effective with or without carboplatin in treating breast cancer.
NCT03738774
This study will assess the relationship between early unmet needs after hospital discharge and subsequent clinical outcomes among survivors of acute respiratory failure. The investigators hypothesize that early unmet needs are associated with poor outcomes at three months.
NCT02879695
This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of blinatumomab when given with nivolumab alone or nivolumab and ipilimumab in treating patients with poor-risk CD19+ precursor B-lymphoblastic leukemia that has come back after a period of improvement (relapsed) or has not responded to treatment (refractory). Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as blinatumomab, nivolumab, and ipilimumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread.
NCT06036121
The primary purpose of this study is to assess the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics, and to identify the optimal dose of ADRX-0706 in patients with select advanced solid tumors.
NCT05523297
This is a multicenter, active-control randomized, prospective, Phase 3 study in adult cardiac surgery patients. 420 patients were randomized at 12 hospitals.
NCT04193878
This research study seeks to establish the effectiveness of a combination of an inhaled corticosteroid and a beta agonist compared to placebo for the prevention of acute respiratory failure (ARF) in hospitalized patients with pneumonia and hypoxemia.
NCT04717934
Main study: Randomized, evaluator-blinded, no treatment controlled multicenter study to evaluate safety and effectiveness of GAL1906 for the correction of wrinkles in the décolletage area. Sub-study: To evaluate imaging interpretation of mammograms in subjects who were enrolled and treated in the 43USRV1906 main study. The sub-study will determine if hyaluronic acid injections in the décolletage interfere with diagnosis or interpretation of mammogram results.
NCT02850406
This study consists of four parts, Parts A, B, C, and D. * Part A is a single dose pharmacokinetic (PK) study in pediatric participants with Sickle Cell Disease ages 6 to 17 years. * Part B is a multiple dose, safety, exploratory, efficacy, and PK study in adolescent participants with Sickle Cell Disease ages 12 to 17 years. * Part C is a multiple dose, safety, tolerability, and PK study, which includes the assessment of hematological effects and the effect on TCD flow velocity of voxelotor in pediatric participants with Sickle Cell Disease ages 4 to 17 years. * Part D is a multiple dose, safety, tolerability, and PK study, which examines the hematological effects of voxelotor in pediatric participants with Sickle Cell Disease ages 6 months to \< 4 years.
NCT06082167
This is a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, controlled Phase 2/3 trial of zanzalintinib in combination with pembrolizumab versus zanzalintinib-matched placebo in combination with pembrolizumab in subjects with programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) positive recurrent or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (R/M HNSCC) incurable by local therapies who have not received prior systemic therapy for recurrent or metastatic disease.
