The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of once daily (QD) versus twice daily (BID) dosing of eliglustat tartrate (Genz-112638) in participants with Gaucher disease type 1 who had demonstrated clinical stability on BID dosing of eliglustat tartrate (Genz-112638). The secondary objective was to evaluate the pharmacokinetics (PK) of Genz-99067 when eliglustat tartrate (Genz-112638) was administered QD and BID in participants with Gaucher disease type 1 who had demonstrated clinical stability on BID dosing of eliglustat tartrate (Genz-112638).
NCT01793441
This multi-center, randomized, double-blind, parallel group, placebo-controlled, proof of concept study will investigate the efficacy and safety of RG7314 in adult participants with ASD. In Stage I of the study, participants will be randomized in 2:1 to receive daily oral doses of 1.5 milligrams (mg) RG7314 or placebo for 12 weeks. After an independent safety review, the study may proceed to Stage II. In Stage II of the study, additional participants will be randomized in 2:1 to receive daily oral doses of 4 mg RG7314 or placebo for 12 weeks. After an independent safety review, Stage III will be started wherein additional participants will be randomized in 2:1 to receive daily oral doses of 10 mg RG7314 or placebo for 12 weeks. During Stage III, safety will be reviewed by independent safety review twice and if no safety signal is observed, then additional participants will be randomized in 1:1:1 either to receive 1.5 milligrams per day (mg/day) or 10 mg/day RG7314 orally or placebo for 12 weeks in Stage IV.
NCT00313586
This randomized phase II trial studies azacitidine with or without entinostat to see how well they work compared to azacitidine alone in treating patients with myelodysplastic syndromes, chronic myelomonocytic leukemia, or acute myeloid leukemia. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as azacitidine, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Entinostat may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving azacitidine together with entinostat may work better in treating patients with myelodysplastic syndromes, chronic myelomonocytic leukemia, or acute myeloid leukemia.
NCT00383162
This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, crossover, two-attack, out-patient, early-intervention evaluation of subjects who have migraine with or without aura and who discontinued use of short acting triptan(s) within the past year due to non-response or intolerance. Subjects will treat 2 separate migraine attacks during the mild phase of each attack; one attack will be treated with one tablet of the Combination Product (sumatriptan succinate and naproxen sodium) and the other attack with one tablet of placebo (crossover design). \[Study 1 of 2\]
NCT00410384
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety, tolerability, and impact on quality of life of two different doses of belimumab administered in addition to standard therapy in subjects with active, autoantibody-positive systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) disease.
NCT00634660
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and tolerability of injections of rAvPAL-PEG in subjects with PKU.
NCT00806819
The trial will be performed to evaluate if BIBF 1120 in combination with standard pemetrexed therapy is more effective than placebo (inactive capsule) plus standard pemetrexed therapy in patients with stage IIIB, IV or recurrent NSCLC. Safety information about BIBF1120/pemetrexed will be obtained.
NCT01427933
This is a study to compare the antitumor activity of ramucirumab (IMC-1121B) and eribulin together versus eribulin alone, in participants with locally recurrent or metastatic breast cancer.
NCT00382993
This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, crossover, two-attack, out-patient, early-intervention evaluation of subjects who have migraine with or without aura and who discontinued use of short acting triptan(s) within the past year due to non-response or intolerance. Subjects will treat 2 separate migraine attacks during the mild phase of each attack; one attack will be treated with one tablet of the Combination Product (sumatriptan succinate and naproxen sodium) and the other attack with one tablet of placebo (crossover design). \[Study 2 of 2\]
NCT01284361
This is an unblinded, multi-center, randomized, controlled, cross-over study assessing wheel-chair bound, male user preference and catheter characteristics of two intermittent urinary catheters. Subjects enrolled in the study will be randomized to order of catheter use. Individual participation will consist of approximately 1 week of product use. The null hypothesis to be tested is there no difference between catheters.
NCT00439413
The purpose of this study is designed to examine the effects of Selegiline Transdermal System and behavioral intervention in smoking cessation as compared to behavioral intervention alone.
NCT00539929
This is a double-blind, multicenter study to assess the efficacy and safety of E6201 topical administration to pre-identified marker lesions in adult subjects with chronic plaque type psoriasis. Treatment duration is 8 weeks, followed by a 4-week period without treatment. Pharmacokinetic samples will be obtained pre-and post treatment.
NCT01798303
The main purpose of this study is to evaluate a once daily (QD) 40-milligram (mg) oral dose of LY2940094 in participants with an alcohol dependency to evaluate if LY2940094 will reduce alcohol drinking in these participants. The study will last for 8 weeks.
NCT01349803
This study is primarily a safety study. The primary and secondary endpoints are based on 24-hour Holter monitor assessments obtained on Day 14 relative to baseline.
NCT01274390
This study is an ancillary (add-on) study to the clinical trial entitled Red Cell Storage Duration Study (RECESS), which has clinicaltrials.gov identifier NCT00991341. The RECESS study randomizes cardiac surgery patients to receive either red blood cell units stored for no more than 10 days, or red blood cell units stored for at least 21 days, if they need any red blood cell transfusions during their hospital stay for the surgery. This ancillary study is entitled Impact of Blood Storage Duration on Physiologic Measures: RECESS Ancillary Physiologic Study (RECAP). The hypothesis of the RECAP study is that there will be differences between the two randomized treatment groups in how much the following measurements change, from shortly before a red blood cell transfusion to shortly after a red blood cell transfusion, and from before surgery to 24 hours after surgery: * Oxygen saturation in the hand * Oxygen saturation in the brain * Blood flow in the small blood vessels under the tongue. The RECAP study will also investigate whether changes in the measurements listed above are associated with clinical outcomes, including * The Multi-Organ Dysfunction Score * Death from any cause * Major cardiac events * Major pulmonary events
