The aim of this study is to determine if vitamin D supplementation is associated with differences in short-term recovery in patients following total knee arthroplasty compared to patients who do not receive supplementation. If so, vitamin D supplementation has the potential to become widely incorporated into the routine care for patients undergoing knee replacements.

This pilot study is a sub-study of ATN 067. ATN 067 utilizes a cross-sectional research design to recruit Latina and African American young women to undergo HIV screening. The primary goal of this proposed pilot study, ATN 084, is to explore the feasibility and acceptability of index female recruiters identifying and recruiting their past and present male sexual partners to undergo HIV screening and complete a one-time ACASI interview. In addition, the study will also include female friendship network members who were enrolled in ATN 067 and were diagnosed with HIV. These young women will also be asked to recruit their past and present male sex partners to undergo HIV screening.

This is a Phase 3, open-label, repeat-dose study designed to assess liver safety, non-liver safety, and efficacy of lixivaptan in participants who previously experienced liver chemistry test abnormalities while treated with tolvaptan and were permanently discontinued from the drug for that reason. Up to 50 eligible participants will be enrolled and treated with lixivaptan for 52 weeks following titration to an optimal dose.
