This phase II trial studies whether a prior germline predictor of taxane-induced peripheral neuropathy (TIPN) can help identify a subgroup of patients who are at higher risk of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy in African American patients with stages I-III breast cancer. The study also investigates whether docetaxel maybe work better than paclitaxel with regard to TIPN rate/severity and dose reductions.

This phase 1b study is a double-blind, double-dummy, nitrofurantoin-controlled study designed to evaluate microbiological response at the test of cure (ToC) visit along with safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetic (PK) response following oral dosing for 5 days of GSK3882347 in an adult female with uncomplicated urinary tract infections (uUTI). Comparator nitrofurantoin will be included in the study to ensure unbiased reporting of safety events. The study will be separated into 2 cohorts. Cohort 1 consists of an inpatient treatment period and PK analysis at frequent timepoints. Cohort 2 includes an outpatient treatment period and PK analysis conducted less frequently, at key trough timepoints.

Prospective, single-arm, multi-center, continued access study of the Autus Size-Adjustable Valve in pediatric patients aged 18 months to 16 years requiring surgical pulmonary valve replacement. The Autus Valve may be expanded pre-implant to match the subject's body size. Subjects will be evaluated prior to the Autus Valve implant procedure, immediately post-implantation, at hospital discharge, 30 days, 6 months, and annually through 10 years. The Autus Valve may be expanded post-implant via transcatheter balloon dilation to accommodate growth of the subject.

The goal of the study is to examine multiple markers of anthropometrics, body composition, sarcopenia and frailty and compare them to dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) output, which is considered the current clinical gold-standard tool to measure body composition. The result of this study will provide detailed data regarding the nutrition and body composition within this Cystic Fibrosis population and also provide a baseline evaluation for use of these biomarkers in the future studies including evaluation of nutritional intervention. Further, the study will also include psychosocial and other patient-reported outcomes and medical contributors to understand their contributions to the nutritional failure in the adult advanced lung disease population. Finally, the study will evaluate both established and emerging nutritional and body composition parameters and link them to clinical outcomes in adults with CF across the spectrum of pulmonary function.
