NCT00699283
Antiepileptic Drugs (AEDs) are the main treatment for epilepsy; however, only a limited number of AEDs are approved for use as monotherapy. The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of BRV in the conversion of partial onset seizure patients from combination treatment to monotherapy.
NCT02337205
This is a phase 1 study to access the safety and tolerability of KX2-391 ointment in subjects who have Actinic Keratosis. This study will also access the amount of KX2-391 drug that enters the blood stream through dermal application of the ointment.
NCT01459679
The objectives of this study are to evaluate and compare the safety and efficacy of three treatment regimens for corneal collagen cross-linking performed with VibeX (riboflavin ophthalmic solution) and the KXL System in impeding the progression of, and/or reducing maximum corneal curvature.
NCT02254564
The main objective of this study is to identify unique DNA sequences within the genome of human scabies that can be utilized to identify the parasite through PCR.
NCT00910247
This is a long term, open-label, safety extension study in subjects with partial onset seizures.
NCT00992225
The primary purpose of this study is to determine the objective response rate (complete and partial response) for patients who receive LY573636-sodium for metastatic breast cancer.
NCT00819585
The 24-week, dose-ranging, multi-center, double-blind, double-dummy, active-controlled core study investigated the prophylactic effect of canakinumab on the signs and symptoms of acute flares in chronic gout patients initiating allopurinol therapy. The core study was followed by a 24-week open-label, multicenter extension study to assess the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of canakinumab in patients with gout who were given canakinumab at the time of gout flare.
NCT02371200
Prospective study of an electromyography (EMG) based seizure detection and warning system for detecting generalized tonic-clonic (GTC) seizures.
NCT00047125
RATIONALE: Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to damage tumor cells. Giving radiation therapy in different ways may kill more tumor cells. It is not yet known which regimen of radiation therapy is more effective in treating patients who have metastases to the lymph nodes in the neck. PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to compare different radiation therapy regimens in treating patients who have metastases to the lymph nodes in the neck from an unknown primary tumor.
NCT01921751
This randomized phase II trial studies how well high or standard intensity radiochemotherapy after gemcitabine hydrochloride and paclitaxel albumin-stabilized nanoparticle formulation (nab-paclitaxel) work compared with gemcitabine hydrochloride and nab-paclitaxel alone in treating patients with pancreatic cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as gemcitabine hydrochloride and nab-paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing or by stopping them from spreading. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Drugs, such as capecitabine, may make tumor cells more sensitive to radiation therapy. Giving radiation therapy in different ways and adding chemotherapy may kill more tumor cells. It is not yet known whether high intensity radiochemotherapy after gemcitabine hydrochloride and nab-paclitaxel is more effective than standard intensity radiochemotherapy after gemcitabine hydrochloride and nab-paclitaxel or gemcitabine hydrochloride and nab-paclitaxel alone in treating pancreatic cancer.
NCT01163617
This was an open-label, Phase 2 study designed to obtain user experience data (Phase A) and injection time data (Phase B) in experienced adalimumab patients injected with the Physiolis pre-filled syringe and autoinjector used to administer adalimumab.
NCT00552305
The purpose of this trial is to determine whether lacosamide is safe and effective for long-term use in patients with partial-seizures from epilepsy.
NCT00940095
The aim of this study is to demonstrate that clazosentan, administered as a continuous intravenous infusion at either 5 mg/h or 15 mg/h until Day 14 post aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH), reduces the incidence of cerebral vasospasm-related morbidity and all-cause mortality within 6 weeks post-aSAH treated by endovascular coiling. The primary endpoint of the study is the occurrence of cerebral vasospasm-related morbidity, and mortality of all-causes within 6 weeks post-aSAH, defined by at least one of the following: 1. Death (all causes). 2. New cerebral infarct(s) due to cerebral vasospasm as either the primary or relevant contributing cause, or not adjudicated to be entirely due to causes other than vasospasm. 3. Delayed ischemic neurological deficit (DIND) due to cerebral vasospasm as either the primary or relevant contributing cause, or not adjudicated to be entirely due to causes other than vasospasm. 4. Administration of a valid rescue therapy in the presence of confirmed cerebral vasospasm on angiography (DSA or CTA). An independent Critical Events Committee (CEC) will adjudicate whether or not patients meet the primary endpoint and its individual morbidity components.
NCT00166270
This is a prospective, nonrandomized, multi-center study to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of ExAblate in the treatment of uterine fibroids. All patients will be treated and then followed for 36 months to evaluate the change in their fibroid symptoms.
NCT02401412
Hollister Incorporated is studying stoma related cost of care related to a new ostomy skin barrier that is designed to maintain adhesive properties and good peristomal skin health compared to other currently marketed barriers.
NCT02066129
The objective of this study is to determine whether, in children receiving low-dose inhaled corticosteroids (ICS), quintupling the dose of inhaled corticosteroids at the onset of symptoms previously associated with upper respiratory illnesses and subsequent asthma exacerbations reduces the rate of severe asthma exacerbations treated with oral corticosteroids.
NCT01563536
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and antiviral activity of multiple, ascending doses of ABT-267 (also known as ombitasvir) administered as two-day monotherapy followed by ABT-267 in combination therapy with other direct-acting antiviral agents (DAAs) ABT-450 with ritonavir (ABT-450/r) and ABT-333 (also known as dasabuvir) plus ribavirin (RBV) in patients with chronic Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection without cirrhosis.

NCT00282035
To determine if Accelerated Partial Breast Irradiation, using 3D CRT, is as effective as Whole Breast Irradiation following breast conserving surgery in women with an new histological diagnosis of ductal carcinoma in situ only or invasive breast cancer without evidence of metastatic disease. Effectiveness will be determined by the rate of ipsilateral breast tumour recurrence. General objective is to improve the convenience and quality of life of female patients who receive breast irradiation.
