NCT01074294
This study tests the effects of an investigational antipsychotic drug (called OPC-34712) in adults with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) when taken with an approved stimulant medication to explore a possible impact on sleep, quality of life and cognitive function.
NCT03751007
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and tolerability of different doses of AG019 administered alone or in combination with teplizumab in participants with recent-onset type 1 diabetes (T1D).
NCT03579459
This study will investigate a Clostridium difficile vaccine in healthy adults 65 to 85 years of age, who will each receive 3 doses of vaccine. The study will assess the lot consistency, safety, and tolerability of the vaccine, and also look at the subjects' immune response to the vaccine.
NCT03616912
The reason for this study is to see how effective and safe the study drug known as baricitinib is in participants with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
NCT04707664
The purpose of this research is to understand if the study drug, also called sargramostim or Leukine®, can help prevent the worsening of COVID-19 when the study drug is inhaled. This study will also help researchers understand if inhaled sargramostim can help prevent visits to the emergency room or hospitalization, or death.
NCT04360096
Brief Summary: SARS-CoV-2 virus infection is known to cause Lung Injury that begins as dyspnea and exercise intolerance, but may rapidly progress to Critical COVID-19 with Respiratory Failure and the need for noninvasive or mechanical ventilation. Mortality rates as high as 80% have been reported among those who require mechanical ventilation, despite best available intensive care. Patients with severe COVID-19 by FDA definition who have not developed respiratory failure be treated with nebulized ZYESAMI™ (aviptadil acetate, a synthetic version of Vasoactive Intestinal Polypeptide (VIP)) 100 μg 3x daily plus Standard of Care vs. placebo + Standard of Care using an FDA 501(k) cleared mesh nebulizer. The primary outcome will be progression in severity of COVID-19 (i.e. critical OR severe progressing to critical) over 28 days. Secondary outcomes will include blood oxygenation as measured by pulse oximetry, dyspnea, exercise tolerance, and levels of TNFα IL-6 and other cytokines.
NCT05508568
The objective of this prospective, multi-centre study is to evaluate the performance of ADXBLADDER, a urine MCM5 ELISA test, as an aid in the detection of bladder cancer recurrence. Patients undergoing cystoscopic surveillance in non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) follow-up will be recruited and asked to provide a urine sample to be tested with ADXBLADDER. To assess the diagnostic accuracy of the test, the MCM5 results will be compared with the gold standard cystoscopy and pathology of resected tissue.
NCT03187769
This study will evaluate the effect of ALKS 3831 compared to olanzapine on body weight in young adults with schizophrenia, schizophreniform, or bipolar I disorder who are early in their illness
NCT00331773
RATIONALE: Giving radiation therapy that uses a 3-dimensional (3-D) image of the tumor to help focus thin beams of radiation directly on the tumor, and giving hypofractionated radiation therapy (higher doses over a shorter period of time), may be less costly with fewer side effects and just as effective in treating prostate cancer. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying several different radiation therapy regimens to compare how well they work in treating patients with stage II prostate cancer.
NCT03894046
This is a 2-part study, with Part A being the randomized, controlled portion of the study in patients with ABC hospital-acquired bacterial pneumonia (HABP), ventilator-associated bacterial pneumonia (VABP), or bacteremia. Part B is the single-group portion of the study and includes ABC infections that are resistant to or have failed colistin or polymyxin B treatment, as detailed in the inclusion criteria.
NCT04083222
This study evaluated the effect of ISIS 757456 (IONIS-AGT-LRx) on plasma angiotensinogen (AGT) and systolic blood pressure (SBP) in uncontrolled hypertensive participants who were on two to three antihypertensive medications.
NCT03164967
This study is part of the BIVIGAM® post marketing requirement (PMR). It is being conducted in subjects aged 2-16 with primary immune deficiency disorders associated with defects in humoral immunity to generate additional data on these populations, and more specifically safety and pharmacokinetic (PK) assessments.
NCT02420821
This multi-center, randomized, open-label study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of atezolizumab plus bevacizumab versus sunitinib in participants with inoperable, locally advanced, or metastatic RCC who have not received prior systemic active or experimental therapy, either in the adjuvant or metastatic setting.
NCT01625286
The purpose of this study is to investigate the safety and efficacy of different doses and schedules of AZD5363, when in combination with paclitaxel, in treatment of patients with advanced or metastatic breast cancer. Also to investigate a selected dose and schedule of AZD5363 in combination with paclitaxel vs. paclitaxel in combination with placebo in treatment of patients with estrogen receptor-positive advanced or metastatic breast cancer, including a subgroup who have the phosphoinositide-3-kinase, catalytic, alpha polypeptide (PIK3CA) tumour mutation.
NCT03706612
Identify the unique associations of body shape to body composition and bone density indices in a pediatric population that represents the variance of sex, age, BMI-Z, and ethnicity found in the US population. Describe the precision and accuracy of optical scans to monitor change in body composition, bone density and metabolic health interventions. Estimate the level of association of optical to common health indicators including metabolic risk factors (glucose, triglycerides, HDL-cholesterol, blood pressure, VAT, WC and strength) by gender, race, age, and BMI-Z. Investigate holistic, high-resolution descriptors of 3D body shape as direct predictors of body composition and metabolic risk using statistical shape models and Latent Class Analysis.
NCT03671239
MTN-035 is a multi-site, randomized-sequence, three-period, open label crossover study that will enroll approximately 210 participants randomized (1:1:1:1:1:1) to one of six sequences of rectal microbicide placebo product application.
NCT04780295
This online-based, observational retrospective registry aims to (i) study the rate of cardiovascular events, encompassing venous thromboembolic and arterial events, in consecutive hospitalized patients with coronavirus (Covid19), (ii) investigate the prevalent use of thromboprophylaxis, (iii) describe the use of imaging tests for the detection of cardiovascular events in patients with Covid19. This will also facilitate and constitute the basis for the conduction of interventional thromboprophylaxis studies in patients with Covid19.
NCT03484143
The active Neuro RX Gamma device uses non-invasive near-infrared energy delivered to the brain with the intention to improve cognitive functioning and quality of life in patients with moderate to severe Alzheimer's Disease. Treatment will occur at home-based treatment sessions with the device.
NCT02827214
Thoracolumbar (TL) burst fractures in neurologically intact patients account for approximately 45% of all TL spine injuries. Despite being common fractures, there is significant variability in treatment recommendations encompassing surgery and non-surgical treatment options. The controversy regarding optimal treatment for these injuries is fueled by several studies which suggest a potential benefit to surgical treatment in the realm of patient satisfaction, and the overall socio-economic burden of treatment while other studies demonstrate improved outcomes and lower morbidity with non-surgical treatment. This study aims to perform a prospective cohort analysis investigating the clinical outcome of various treatment alternatives for patients with A3/A4 fractures in the thoracolumbar region. A cost-effectiveness analysis will also be performed to identify costs and benefits of each treatment option. More specifically a sub-group analysis will be performed for this group of patients, which have equipoise in regards to patients treatment, as decided by a blinded review panel.
