The goal of this clinical trial is to determine if a "watch and wait" antibiotic strategy, called Safety Net Antibiotic Prescribing (SNAP), can safely reduce unnecessary antibiotic use while ensuring that children diagnosed with community-acquired pneumonia get better from their illness. The main aims of this study are: * To compare the effectiveness of SNAP versus immediate antibiotic prescribing in children with mild community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) * To identify which patient groups benefit most from the SNAP strategy * To identify factors that shape implementation of each prescribing strategy. Researchers will compare the SNAP strategy (where parents or guardians are instructed to give antibiotics only if their child is not improving after 72 hours, or sooner if they are worsening) to the immediate antibiotic prescribing strategy (where parents or guardians are instructed to give the antibiotics right after their healthcare visit) to see if one strategy is more effective than the other. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the immediate antibiotic group or the SNAP group at enrollment. Participation lasts 14 days with follow-up surveys at 4, 7, and 14 days after enrollment.

The primary objective of this trial is to compare the safety and efficacy of the SINOMED BuMA Supreme biodegradable coronary stent in patients with up to 3 coronary lesions to either the XIENCE or Promus durable polymer coronary stents. This prospective, global, multi-center, randomized 2:1, single blind study will enroll up to 1632 subjects at up to 130 investigational sites in North America, Japan, and Europe. Subjects will have clinical follow-up in-hospital and at 30 days, 6 months, 12 months, and 2, 3, 4, and 5 years.

Advancements in prenatal genetic screening have significantly improved the identification of chromosomal abnormalities and heritable conditions during pregnancy, yet current standards for patient education in this domain are largely ineffective. The most effective approach to education about prenatal screening is one-on-one genetic counseling, but due to the limited number of counselors this is not feasible, especially in rural and frontier areas. The investigators will address this national problem using a novel education game that can more effectively address this gap in healthcare decision-making.

This is a Phase 1/2, multi-center, open-label basket study designed to evaluate the safety and anti-tumor activity of IDE196 in patients with solid tumors harboring GNAQ or GNA11 (GNAQ/11) mutations or PRKC fusions, including metastatic uveal melanoma (MUM), cutaneous melanoma, colorectal cancer, and other solid tumors. Phase 1 (dose escalation - monotherapy) will assess safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of IDE196 via standard dose escalation scheme and determine the recommended Phase 2 dose. Safety and anti-tumor activity will be assessed in the Phase 2 (dose expansion) part of the study. Phase 1 (dose escalation - binimetib combination) will assess safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of IDE196 and binimetinib via standard dose escalation scheme and determine the recommended Phase 2 dose. Safety and anti-tumor activity will be assessed in the Phase 2 (dose expansion) part of the study. Phase 1 (dose escalation - crizotinib combination) will assess safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of IDE196 and crizotinib via standard dose escalation scheme and determine the recommended Phase 2 dose. Evaluation of safety and efficacy across multiple doses may be explored in the dose optimization part of the study. BOLD-100 is an intravenously administered sterile solution containing the ruthenium-based small molecule. BOLD-100 has been shown to preferentially decrease the expression of GRP78 in tumour cells and ER stressed cells when compared to normal cells. BOLD-100 will be combined with cytotoxic FOLFOX chemotherapy in this study, with a dose escalation cohort to ensure tolerability and safety, followed by a cohort expansion phase.

This study will test daily dosing of atovaquone at established pneumocystis jiroveci pneumonia (PJP) prophylaxis dosing in combination with standard induction chemotherapy for de novo AML. The primary objectives are to determine the frequency of omission of atovaquone doses due to standard induction chemotherapy toxicity, to quantify the steady-state plasma levels of atovaquone, and to determine the time to achievement of steady state atovaquone levels in this population.

This study is only enrolling at Baylor College of Medicine. The other research locations listed serve to support data analysis only. This research study is to investigate the use of technology called Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) to potentially improve Treatment-Resistant Bipolar Depression (TRBD) symptoms in patients with severe cases. DBS involves the surgical implantation of leads and electrodes into specific areas of the brain, which are thought to influence the disease. A pack implanted in the chest, called the neurotransmitter, keeps the electrical current coursing to the brain through a wire that connects the neurotransmitter and electrodes. It is believed DBS may restore balance to dysfunctional brain circuitry implicated in TRBD. The goal of this study is to enhance current approaches to DBS targeting in the brain and to use a novel approach to find a better and more reliable system for TRBD treatment. Its important for participants to understand that this is an investigational study where there could be a lack of effectiveness in improving TRBD symptoms. There may be no directly benefit from taking part in this study. This study is expected to last 20 months and involves 3 main steps. 1. Medical, psychiatric, and cognitive evaluations. 2. Implantation of a brain stimulation system. 3. Follow up after implantation of device, including programming, recording, and psychiatric testing. There are risks and benefits to this study which need to be considered when deciding to participate or not. Some of the risks are from surgery, the DBS device and programming, the tests involved, and potential loss of confidentiality, as well as other unknown risks. Some of the more serious risks involved in this study and the percentage that they occur: 1. Bleeding inside the Brain (1 to 2 percent). 2. Infection from the procedures (3 percent) 3. Seizure caused from the procedures (1.2 percent) However, the benefit of this study is that it may help relieve or decrease TRBD symptoms. This form of treatment has shown to reduce symptom severity in other cases. This could potentially improve quality of life and activities in daily routines. There is also a potential benefit to society in that the data the investigators will obtain from this study may help increase the understanding of the mechanisms underlying TRBD symptoms, as well as enhanced Deep Brain Stimulation techniques. Study participation is expected to last 20 months from the time the DBS device is activated and should include approximately 23 visits. These visits also include 8 separate, 24 hour stays at the Menninger NeuroBehvaioral Monitoring Unit (NBU). These 24-hour sessions will occur at multiple points throughout the study (1 week prior to surgery, the week preceding device activation, the week following activation, then after 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 months, 9 months, and 12 months). Participants will need to stay locally for the week of the NBU stay (typically Monday through Friday). Study visits will include clinician administered assessments and questionnaires, subject reported assessments, neuropsychological testing, and mobile behavioral assessments which will occur around 23 visits over the course of 20 months.
